Did Not Say Anything About My Feelings - Chapter 9 Part 2
Jiang Lian stopped moving and put his leg down. He squatted down, a little distracted as he patted Lin Ye’s face and said, “Enough, get up.”
Lin Ye got up from his spot on the ground. He seemed to want to say something as he touched the half of his face that had been patted by Jiang Lian.
Jiang Lian stood next to the video player and glanced at him. He said faintly, “Don’t worry, my hand is clean.”
Lin Ye’s expression was a little strange and he could not help asking Jiang Lian, “Do you usually pat Ming Rang’s face like this?”
However, as soon as he said a single syllable, his voice was drowned out by the sound of music. Lin Ye was stunned for a second, then felt that his question was a little strange.
Whether Jiang Lian patted Ming Rang’s face like that was not something that concerned him/
He admitted that Jiang Lian was indeed good-looking and that his appearance was even considered superior among the trainees. However, no matter how good-looking a face was, after seeing it multiple times, one will naturally be immune.
Lin Ye danced the complete theme song in front of Jiang Lian once. Jiang Lian only corrected some problems he had with dancing off-beat, then pointed out some simple things, like how he needed to increase the wideness of his movements to make the movements more visually appealing, while also saying that he had to avoid exerting too much force.
He did not comment on anything else.
“Your dancing doesn’t have any major problems, your foundation in dance is not bad,” Jiang Lian adjusted the video player so that the song was set to play from the start again. “Do you remember all the lyrics?”
Lin Ye was stunned when he heard that and said, “I’ve remembered them.”
Jiang Lian raised his chin at him, “Sing it once with the accompaniment.”
Lin Ye’s expression was a little strange, but he followed Jiang Lian’s instructions and sang the theme song once.
When it reached the climax of the song, Lin Ye could not hit the note, his voice was on the edge of cracking. Jiang Lian paused the song and raised an eyebrow at him, “Do you know what your biggest problem is?”
Lin Ye’s expression had a tinge of awkwardness, “I’ve always been bad at singing.”
“You might be born with a narrow range, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t expand your range after,” Jiang Lian’s voice was low and deep, the gaze that landed on Lin Ye’s face gradually sharpened, “You can’t take the shortcut in front of the mentors by being very good at dancing. You should think of how to get rid of the problem. If you want to enter Class A, singing and dancing are the basic requirements.”
“Of course, there’s a second method,” Jiang Lian paused, “You can also rely on your fans. However, fans…” He smiled slightly, “Do you have them now?”
Lin Ye seemed to be stuck at his original spot, looking a little awkward.
Jiang Lian took in Lin Ye’s current expression and the corner of his lips curved up. He reached for his phone and took a look at the time, “I’m going back now.”
Only then did Lin Ye suddenly recover, and he walked towards the door without saying a word.
Jiang Lian called out to him to stop him. When Lin Ye turned around, Jiang Lian threw him the thing in his hand.
The thing in mid-air drew a high arc and accurately fell into Lin Ye’s arms, but fell through the gap between his two arms.
Lin Ye bent down to pick it up, only to see that it was a key.
Jiang Lian walked past him to pull the door open and walk out. “I’m the only one using this small classroom, you can come over when you want to use it.”
Lin Ye did not expect that and held the key, standing by the doorway in a daze for a moment. The next moment, he noticed the white baseball cap that had been abandoned in the corner. He suddenly snapped out of his daze and picked up the baseball cap, pulled open the door, and chased after Jiang Lian.
However, the whole way out of the training building, Lin Ye did not see Jiang Lian. Lin Ye held the hat and returned to the small classroom, lying down on the door with his arms and legs spread out, panting.
Everything that had happened that evening played back in front of his eyes like a movie. He closed his eyes and used Jiang Lian’s baseball cap to cover his eyes.
When Jiang Lian returned, Ming Rang was lying on the sofa with his legs crossed as he video called someone. When he saw Jiang Lian open the door and enter the room, he ended the video call, bored. Then, he opened his mouth and said, “You’re back?”
Jiang Lian threw his key to the side and glanced at the mobile phone in Ming Rang’s hand, “Take care, it’s not a good thing to be exposed for having close contact with a female netizen during the recording of the program.”
Ming Rang smiled, not caring. He sat up and looked at Jiang Lian up and down, “What were you doing? Don’t tell me that you stayed in the practice room until now.”
Jiang Lian opened his closet and looked for clean clothes. He casually replied, “You’re right, I was in the practice room.”
“Did you help Lin Ye practice his dance?” Ming Rang’s expression was one of suspicion, “Did you really take his threat of reporting you to the staff for hiding a phone seriously?” He said in a teasing tone, “Would they dare to take away your mobile phone?”
“It’s not because of that,” With a smile, Jiang Lian turned around to take out a piece of chocolate from his trousers pocket and threw it to Ming Rang, “Do you want to eat chocolate?”
Ming Rang tore open the wrapping and looked at Jiang Lian in confusion, “Where did you get such a sweet-tasting and sticky thing?”
Jiang Lian replied, “I got it from Lin Ye.”
Ming Rang looked slightly stunned before he finally thought about it. His gaze was teasing again, ”Do you think the scandal about a trainee having relations with a female netizen or the scandal about a trainee forcing another trainee to have improper relations with him would be more explosive?”
Jiang Lian did not respond to that question, and Lin Ye’s image appeared in his mind. He thought for a moment and finally said mildly, “I don’t like forcing people. For this sort of thing, both parties should be willing.”
