Dimension System - Chapter 63: Bonus Round: Clean Sweep
Pressing onward, he started unleashing everything from the space that would help out. The foreign adventurers were awestruck, seeing an endless stream of people, monsters, and undead pouring out. Everyone was working together to overwhelm the enemy.
Regular citizens who weren’t experienced with combat supported from the rear of the crowd. Wheeling around the bolt throwers, they also utilized crossbows and some even had long lances which kept them out of harm’s way.
Joining together again, the goblins and wolves were chasing down any stragglers. Having worked with each other in the past, their teamwork had improved. Even the larger livestock was let loose, running over monsters and trampling them.
Releasing the crabs, he saw that they were especially effective. Moving in a swarm, they clipped the feet and legs of the enemy. Not only did it cause a painful distraction, it let the others quickly capture or kill the attacking monsters.
With the support, the already devastating troops now swept through like an unstoppable tide. Reaching the second floor, they could finally see what was happening. There was a young teenager in a black robe, waving his hands and chanting a mystic sounding language.
Runic symbols would fly through the air, colliding together as they formed into monsters. Looking over at him, they saw that he noticed them, but didn’t stop. In fact, his motions and speech grew even quicker.
More and more symbols came out, as they formed into dangerous and tougher monsters. Whereas the previous monsters were simpler creations like goblins, orcs, and skeletons. These newer monsters became things like ogres, giant spiders, and even a few golems.
With only a few minutes left, they had to move quickly. Having the elites occupy the new enemies, Zanir ordered the quickest troops to attack the dungeon overlord directly. He wasn’t sure that it would hurt him, but it might prevent him from summoning even more monsters.
Approaching from the right, the swift goblin riders were able to navigate through the monsters, attacking with claws, fangs, and spear. Halting his chants, the robed young man was forced to concentrate on a barrier around him, which blocked the attacks.
Coming from the left, the even swifter emerald crabs arrived next, having been slightly delayed by clipping a few Achilles tendons on their way. Crashing over the entire barrier, they struck harder and quicker than the goblin riders.
Cracks were showing on the shield, as the others struggled to battle against the larger monsters. With no more reinforcements constantly arriving, they were at a stalemate. Wishing that he had more time, Zanir could only lament that he wouldn’t be able to take the advanced creatures with him.
Two minutes were left, as he finally reached the dungeon core. A crystal twice the size of his body, hovering in the air about a foot off the ground. Vibrant energy could be felt swirling around it, moving quickly he absorbed it.
Feeling like his heart was beating a mile a minute, he watched nervously as the timer counted down. It felt like it was going to be just enough time to absorb the core itself. As the last thirty seconds were counting down, he heard the achievement notification.
[Material analyzed:

Description: Created by the user of the Dungeon Master system. This core will allow you to open a Dungeon world inside your spatial realm. Separate from your main world, it will generate additional points.]
Only a few seconds remained, so he rushed over to where the fight was, hoping to grab one of the advanced monsters. Unlike animals, which had a limited intellect, he couldn’t use system points to create intelligent creatures.
This was why he hadn’t created an army of people. Instead, having chosen to slowly build up his forces. Seeing the timer was almost done, he knew that he could only grab one creature. There! Bruce was fighting a female ogre.
Having battled his own kind and won, Bruce was ecstatic. Bringing over the unconscious monster, she was immediately absorbed. Running out of time, he had just made it. As the mission for the bonus round completed, everyone was teleported back to the spatial world.
The remaining monsters all swung and hit the air, as the teleportation happened mid-combat. Claws, fangs, fist, and various weapons hit the ground and walls. Cursing to himself, the young man consulted his Dungeon Master system.
Reeling at the cost of replacement, he swore again, absorbing the majority of the nearby monsters. Spitting out a weak dungeon core, he’d have to start over from square one. Someday he would build his monsters back up and take revenge on the mysterious invader who attacked him.
Almost everyone was returned to the spatial world. They got to see the dungeon core fly into the sky and transform into its own small planet. Zanir unfortunately, was thrown back into a spatial tunnel. Having to go through it again, he could say that it wasn’t as bad the second time.
Arriving back at the cave, he saw that the whole cave area was a little cleaner, after those thirty minutes they were gone. Having been rushed for time, he took a minute to catch his breath, before heading into his spatial world.
Meeting up with everyone, he saw that they were looking at the small separate world that had formed. It was floating around the main planet like an orbital. Containing a bit of snow, it seems that a miniature likeness of the previous world had formed.
Looking at it closer, he could see the movement of a few monsters coming in and out of a small stone entrance. Curious as to how anyone could travel between the planets, he saw that there was a small, circular stone pad that had formed by the apartments.
Everyone wanted to know how it worked, so a few of the goblins tried it out. After a few minutes, they came back, explaining that it teleported them to a similar circle on the dungeon planet. According to the information they got, intelligent creatures could come over from the dungeon, but they would be converted by the system.
No wild monsters would be able to come through and wreak havoc. Reassured, he checked the system and found that it would also contribute dimensional points to him. His monsters could be taken out of the system storage.
In the dungeon, they would have room to breed, expanding in numbers. He could charge people to run the dungeon, gaining points for each monster they killed. Eventually, he hoped that it could generate its own rare items and monsters.
Even if it couldn’t, this was a big success. Now his power could grow even more rapidly. Reviewing the damage, he was glad to see that due to how many forces he brought out, no one was killed. Although several of the men were severely wounded, losing a limb like Zanir, or having a similar level of damage.
Along with his own hand, he felt that it was about time they looked for a healer or something that could help restore them. Bringing a few troops out, he decided that he would head over to the Rangers now.
He could ask them about it and also let them know that the area had been cleaned up. Hopefully, they would have a lead for him, or could at least point him in the right direction.
