- Chapter 416: How To Manage A Country (4) + Notice
It was pretty busy on the following day.
The representative purposely made his visit after lunchtime to give Zhang Qin Feng more time to spend with his family. And precisely, this kind of thought was what got him on his boss’ good page.
“Sir.” the representative humbly greets Zhang Qin Feng when he gets onto his boss’ converted yacht that used the same Assailant-Class Patrol Ship as the base.
But unlike the Assailant-Class, the weaponry fitted into this ship is more battleworthy than the previous generation, which still relies on the older version of CIWS.
In terms of fighting power alone, one of these ships is comparable to five Assailant-Class, or two destroyers from the four nations. And suppose Zhang Qin Feng considered the differences in technology and durability. In that case, the ship could compete against four destroyers at once.
“It’s good you’re here. Let us make this quick so we can get back to our own work, shall we?” Zhang Qin Feng said with a smile on his face.
A hologram screen was brought up by a tap on the table. And the data drive used by the representative to store the confidential report was unlocked and accessed wirelessly without the necessary connection point.
Stein immediately processed the information inside Zhang Qin Feng while the latter was conversing with the representative. Dividing his time efficiently in between, Zhang Qin Feng carefully listened to his subordinate’s report while coming up with a conclusion.
A sample of the coral was also brought along to Zhang Qin Feng’s private yacht.
Looking at that coral sample, Zhang Qin Feng chuckled.
‘Perhaps I can even create the same thing with the researcher’s ability and use this to see what kind of results we could possibly achieve.’ Zhang Qin Feng said to himself.

Meanwhile, a submarine was sailing in secret about two thousand meters away from where Zhang Qin Feng anchored. The vessel seemed to be in their autopilot mode as it headed straightforward at Marianna.
All their electronics were at their lowest efficiency to increase their stealth approach. And inside the weapon’s room of this vessel were a few powerful nuclear warheads competent of decimating the entire Marianna island if detonated.
This submarine was a battling-grade ship designed by Pacific Union’s military shipyard based on the vessel’s design.
But weirdly, the electronic equipment it had came from both Democratic Union and Oceana Alliance. Worst of all, half of the crew of this ship were people without legit documentation where they’re from.
All of this smells fishy.
It was apparent that the person who designed this vessel wanted to remain anonymous if it was spotted. But this wasn’t the core question behind their motive to sail in secret towards Marianna’s water.
“Sir, based on our estimation, we’re about ten kilometers away from Marianna. Please get ready to open the second instruction.” said the vice-captain of this vessel.
His choice of words hinted that they had been given a set of possible orders to be open at a specific time, or depending on the situation if one matter overlapped another.
In response to the vice captain’s sentence, the captain took a briefcase out and placed both thumbprints at the electronic latch. The captain’s action disengaged the locks and allowed him to open the suitcase with an intense expression.
From its look, this suitcase came with its own set of power packs and a shredder to destroy the evidence after reading.
On each and every envelop was a fuse that could ignite independently if the suitcase was tempered or forcefully open. The rules also applied to the readers themselves, where a procedure must be followed or risk detonating the entire vessel in this high pressurized environment.
The two highest authority individuals in this vessel sat side by side as they opened the next envelope waiting for them.
=====
Continue sailing towards the southern side of Marianna, coordinate X:213, Y: 316. The weapon system will be available when this vessel arrives at the designated location.
–
In case of discovery, sail towards coordinate X:233, Y: 314 to deliver a distress signal and open envelop numbers 4 and 5 together. All authority will be unlocked upon accessing the two envelopes.
=====
The instruction written in the letter was simple, but only those in service understood what they really meant.
The letter and the envelope were immediately fed into the shredder to be destroyed. After that, the mechanism at the thumbprint scanner was activated as it forcefully closed the briefcase.
“bridge command. Sail towards the coordinate 213-316. Continue with this speed until you receive further order.” said the captain.

Later that night, the ship finally pulled over the port as Zhang Qin Feng and his family returned home. It took him some effort to pacify both women until they fell asleep.
He then traveled to the post-apocalypse afterward but noticed that the coral supposed to be brought over to the scientist had died from the spatial distortion.
‘Stein. Am I not allowed to bring any living beings to the post-apocalypse dimension?’ Zhang Qin Feng asked.
[Toot…]
[The data shown by the system said that not all organism is capable of withstanding the force from spatial distortion. This is unfortunate, but bringing the coral over to this world is likely impossible]
Stein replied. The reply was cold and straight to the point, just like it was always.
‘Is there no other way except through the Spatial Crack here?’ Zhang Qin Feng asked. Bringing the coral over through the portal was not a must, but it also gave him other worries.
If something worst happened, Zhang Qin Feng wanted to make sure that the Dimensional Transfer could be used without restriction.
He soon appeared in the room where only a few had the access code. Waiting for a few minutes patiently, Zhang Qin Feng’s Luna II starts vibrating when it finally gets online with all the communication channels.
“Boss, you’ve come back?” Alex was the first to contact Zhang Qin Feng when his communication went online.
“Yes. Can you get some researchers over to your office? I’ll be there soon.” Zhang Qin Feng replied.
