Discovering Something Special - Chapter 26 Wedding Diaries
Claudia’s wedding day was fast approaching. Unlike other bride-zillas, she was unexpectedly calm. Her wedding gown wasn’t the traditional white with long veils.
Her choice was an ivory sleeveless dress made with Tulle and embellished with lace: A-line silhouette, round neck and a sweep train. It was chic, simple, and gorgeous on her.
The bridesmaids dresses were similar but knee-length and sleeved. It was perfect for Flora and I.
After dress fitting, the 3 amigos made their way to a burger place nearby. Claudia’s appetite had suddenly surged these past few weeks.
“Is there a bun in the oven? Condering how often Justin ploughs your field, I wouldn’t be surprised,” Flora couldn’t stop herself from asking.
She blinked at us like a deer caught in headlights. “WTF!” She cussed as she let out a sigh.
“That sneaky bast*rd.”
Innocent Claudia got played by her husband-to-be.
“Girl, weren’t you on birth control?” She was always OCD about her pills.
“I was on antibiotics after my oral surgery. He took advantage of me when I was most vulnerable, ” she looked like she had suffered a huge grievance.
Surprisingly, she got over it soon enough after she wolfed down 2 burgers. She was accompanied by her bestfriends to get pregnancy sticks.
10minutes later, 6 pregnancy stick, 2 red lines… a little Claudia was on the way.
Claudia felt so many emotions at that moment, and we just silently accompanied her back home. How her talk with Justin went that night was a story for another day.
The week passed by fast and Quincy’s parents were back in town. I got myself a sticky new bestfriend named Queen.
“You are so pretty,” she exclaimed as she peered into my eyes when I accompanied Quincy to pick them up at the airport earlier in the day.
5 hours later and I already know she has 5 pursuers, hates garlic, had a goldfish at 8, a badass gymnast, and the number one girl in her brother’s heart.
She was a talker and I obliged her happily.
