Discovering Something Special - Chapter 36 Confessions
Quincy made his way over to the room after figuring things out. Seraphina had also calmed down but was too shy to go out to him.
Quincy pushed the door to the bedroom open and his eyes collided with Seraphina’s.
“Babe, let’s talk.” It was time to iron things out.
“Sure,” she replied in the tiniest voice.
They sat facing each other on the bed. Quincy took the lead.
“I have no idea when it started, but I knew for sure that I liked you the moment I laid eyes on you. Yes, we met in an unconventional manner, but it was the best meeting of my life. You’re unique so the start of our journey together should be unparalleled.”
Even a toddler could tell I was nervous.
“Although we’ve only know each other for what, two months now, those were the best 2 months of my whole life. Our relationship may not have had the ‘tests’ yet, but I can assure you that I won’t let go off you no matter what.”
Here came the cringy part she always shied away from, I thought, sighing heavily.
“I love you Summer, the crazy you, the calm you, the nerdy you, your hair, eyes, nose, lips, ears, every version of you that I haven’t seen yet, and you in your entirety.”
As he said those words, Quincy placed a kiss on every inch of Seraphina’s face ignoring how ticklish she felt at that moment.
“I love you so much my heart hurts whenever I think of the possibility of you not being by my side.”
He held her chin up and held her eyes with his, making sure to maintain eye contact when he confessed his heart to her.
The couple maintained that position for quite a while before Quincy was hugged and held tightly by his little darling.
“So this is what love feels like,” she sighed into his ear.
“You know love confessions make me cringy, so I can’t look into your eyes anymore. I’ll just hold you like this and say my piece, okay silver eyes?” I asked carefully so he doesn’t feel bad.
“Yes ma’am,” he said. His baritone voice mellowing.
“Today when I met up with Flora and Claudia, I told them my fear about us. When I confirmed my feelings for you, I had reservations in my heart. Would he love me back? Will he think it’s all going too fast? Do I have the capabilities to take care of my ‘mature’ boyfriend? Will I be enough for him?” I tried my best not to choke on my words, summoning all the courage I had within me.
“But when I got home, my worries melted the instant I attached myself to you. Your broad back and warmth caused my trembling heart to calm and shooed my insecurities away. I was probably too calm so my mouth said what was hidden in my heart faster than my brain could process.”
For someone who had always been calm and collected when faced with scientific problems, I felt like an idiot after the last sentence left my mouth.
“I love you. I would kiss you, but I can’t look at you until after I’m done talking.” I heard him chuckle into my neck as his wrapped his arms tighter around me.
“I adore you. If I could give you world, I would, but since I don’t have that, my love is all I have to offer. I also offer you my sincerity, my vulnerability, my strength, my happiness, my sadness, my laughter, and my tears. I give you the right to have full control of my emotions. That’s how much I love you. Just remember, if you hurt me, granny will lead in her troops to finish you off,” I chuckled behind him. For Heavens sake, I had to lighten up the cheesy atmosphere.
I finally let go and faced him. Without second thought, Quincy pounced on me and ravaged my mouth. I didn’t push him away. I just wrapped my arms around his neck matching his tempo.
After many minutes had passed, we separated to catch our breaths.
“I don’t need the world when I already have you. I also had my reservations about the age mostly, but since my little darling appreciates this big daddy, he’s never letting you go.”
When he was done talking, I was also done catching my breath. I pounced on big daddy for another round of tongue wrestling.
