Distorted World: Rise Of The Black One - Volume 2 Chapter 66 23
Asher took out one of the mana potions that he bought and fully recovered his magicol
He took our the blank parchment that he bought and put it on the ground
He then took out a knife and made a cut in his index finger and began to use his own blood to draw on the parchment
(As: the spell I’m about to use is a high end intermediate level to a low end high level one so the best conceptualisation of the spell I can do is not enough therefore I need to use this parchment to draw the incantation of a pre-written version of this spell I read about earlier)
Asher visualised and recreated the magic formation from memory
He was being very delicate because a single mistake in the incantation will lead to horrible results
He was pulling his finger along the parchment gently making only minimal movement every second
(As: I can do the calculations for the spell fine but there’s also the problem with the amount of magicol I have…since this spell is above my current level the magicol it consumes is to much for me to bear)
(As: and that’s where the magic potions come in if I can time it right and take each potion in rhythm I can get back my magicol just before the spell completely drains it)
Asher began to drew each symbol and hieroglyph of the spell
(As: if this experiment succeeds it will give me an unprecedented advantage over everyone else)
Asher drew in the finishing touches
“As: let’s begin”
Asher said excited although his demeanour doesn’t show it
He began to chant:
“As: mens hominum et plenus potential, sed potens est enim similis: da mihi virtutem contra levantem se ad unum magicae O multa ita ut finis neque sentiunt hoc iterum”
Asher aura began to act up again engulfing the area in a black light and red bolts of lightning surrounded him
The magic surrounded the parchment making Asher’s drawing glow in a bright red ruby light and soon a metaphysical formation appeared floating above the parchment
Asher veins began to swell up his heart beat became erratic and he can feel an agonising pain in his head, his eyes became bloodshot as his focus is constantly bombarded
But despite the extreme agony Asher took up a mana potion and drank it focussing his thoughts on the calculations of the spell
Visions of the conceptualised spell were forcibly shoved into his head
Asher began bleeding from his eyes and nose, his teeth clenched tighter than it has ever clenched in his life
But still not a fan of giving up he took another potion and then another one and then another…
(As: there is nothing you can do to me that hasn’t already been done, this is nothing compared to sensei’s personal reality field)
He thought powering through the extremity of the magic remembering all the countless times he’s been tortured both mentally and physically, both by himself and by other’s hands, both in his past and current life
After what seems like an eternity of torment Asher devoured the twelfth potion
The spell finally calmed down, the parchment became blank and soon a black fire consumed it reducing it to cinders
Asher kneeled there for a bit before collapsing on his face
(Universal analogy: host has succeeded in casting the spell “independent thought” 4 different separate minds have been created, creation of a personal reality is now possible although generation of said reality into the “real world” is still impossible. With the creation of the 4 new mind copies and subsequent creation of host’s personal reality, every thought host experiences will be imprinted and processed by that reality by proxy making all of host’s mental aptitude 4 times greater)
(As: yes I’ve succeeded, the experiment was an complete and utter triumph)
(Universal analogy: however due to extreme trauma the host will now enter a state of forcefully induced sleep until aura is fully recovered)
(As: wait wha…)
Before Asher could finish that thought he vision faded and his body remained in that position immobilised for the rest of the night
The spell’s function was to cut out pieces of Asher’s own aura to creat separate “consciousness” closely connected to the original
Asher’s plan was to create 4 of them and merged them together into a reality in his mind in order to increase his brainpower fourfold
Since this process was nearly impossible for a novice mage like Asher to do with his meagre source of magicol so he plan compensate for this by drinking mana potions after certain amount of time
If a sensible mage saw this they would probably call Asher insane due to the very possible outcome of death
But Asher is hardly a flawless man and his tendency to push limits beyond what is thought possible isn’t one of those flaws
To be continued…
