The girl reported

The man said taking out his soul crystal

The man asked completely not interested in the girl
Hearing the name “Utopia” the girl backed off, completely scared out of her wits
“Grrr…you’re lucky this time”
The girl was disgruntled
“Whatever trash, just do your job and we’ll both be happy now scram! I have to report this to HQ”
The man said typing on his soul crystal

The girl somberly walked away, her voice became cold like a robot following directions

“Re: so…Airi, this might be a offensive question but how is your magic compared to Asher?”

Airi said with a hint of bitterness in her voice

“E: you okay?”
Elise asked concerned

The two continue to bicker as Regis, August and Airi watches on

August hesitated answering
“Re: the qualifications for entering our club was:”to be a member of the All jokers class” so I don’t see any problems with her joining”
Regis naively saids
“Ai: than you have terrible peripheral vision”
Airi then walked away
“Au: yeah…I’m gonna have to go with her on this one”
August remarked
“Ai: way to go there idiot!”
Airi shouted to Regis
Regis stood there for a minute before shaking his head and going after them
“E: guess whaaatt…”
Elise said with a drawn out voice
“As: am I finally going to be exempted from your torment?”
Asher asked sarcastically
Grabbing Asher from behind and her arms around his neck Elise said:
“E: ha! You wish”
“As: you, will be the death of me”

Asher thought with a foul mood, although his cold exterior didn’t showed much
“As: you know in all my years of peaceful loneliness you’re the first one who has annoyed this much (with the exception of Airi)”
“E: thanks! I pride myself on my ability to affect people”
Elise jokingly laughed
“As: hhhaaaahhhh…the things I put up with”
Asher releases a long sigh
“E: come on! It’s not like you don’t acknowledge your own loneliness”
Elise pointed out a flaw in Asher’s logic
“As: for your information I enjoy my isolation, it just means I don’t have to waste my brain cells on a pointless, dull and impractical engagement like socialising”
“E: sighs…you’re the worst you know that”
Elise said letting go of Asher
“As: whatever you say princess…”
Asher said continuing his business
At that moment the two suddenly felt the ground beneath them shake, making them both surprised
“E: what’s going on?”
Elise asked confused
“As: not now! Hide under the table until it stops”
Remaining calm, Asher swiftly reacted going through his desk looking for his soul crystal and telling Elise to hide
“Ai: an earthquake? I thought this part of Avalon wasn’t affected by volcano activity”
“Au: it isn’t! This is something else”
August said trying to keep balance
“Re: what’s happening?”
Regis asked
“R: whoa whoa woahhh”
Ron stumbled and dropped all of the materials
Emile followed after him
Then Airi’s soul crystal rang
“Ai: huh? What now?”
“As: Airi come in! Where are you right now?”
Asher’s voice came through
“Ai: onii-chan what’s going on? Why are you calling me?”
“As: I don’t know! Me and Elise are hiding right now, tell the others to do the same and avoid big buildings”
Asher instructed
“Ai: that’s kinda hard, we’re in the middle of the market district”
Airi explained
“As: then grab your friends and find a place to hide, me and Elise will look into this later”
“Ai: okay got it”
“Ai: over here everyone!”
Airi said guiding everybody to find hiding place
The earthquake lasted for nearly half an hour it caused a lot of collateral damage but thanks to Avalon’s excellent response system there were no casualties
When the earthquake ended everyone stayed put for a while before breathing a sigh of relief
Magicians filled the streets to clear rubble and help anyone who was stuck
“As: I guess it’s over”
Asher said crawling out from under the desk
“E: what was that?”
Elise asked crawling out from under her table
“As: how should I know? But we need to go out there and check”
Asher said putting on his black hooded trench coat
Elise followed him
“E: that goes without said”
