Distorted World: Rise Of The Black One - Volume 3 Chapter 104 14
“Ahh!!!”
The screams of cultist echo through the streets as blood and severed limbs fly from left to right
It was a rare thing for the screams of the children of the cult to be heard as their positions and the things they have experienced under the cult’s will has nearly removed all sense of fear from them some even doubt that they even had enough intelligence left to feel afraid due to the side effects of the performance enhancing drugs
In all his life Servirus only knew one thing: serve the cult even at the cost of his own life, he never felt pain and never desired freedom such as the fate of all of the third children, after all his mom even gave birth to him only for this task
But here at the face of his inevitable demise he felt something for the first time in his life: glamour
Her visage was like that of a child playing their favorite game, her posture free and mighty as the dragons that roam the clouds, the blade she wields radiate with power and magnitude and the world itself seem to tremble under the weight of her blows
Magic naturally swirled around that blade releasing powerful spells every time she swings the sword destroying not only her enemies but the environment around her with violent winds, raging fires and bolting lightning
And finally the blade landed on him… in his final moments Servirus did not felt pain or fear but the sweat sense of relieve as his eyes close for one last time
“Holy sh*t that’s brutal”
A student said watching this massacre from behind the rampaging lady
“Isn’t that the miss honor student that came from the eastern nation…what was that nation named again?”
Another student said trembling, unnerved by the absolute horror that he’s witnessing
“Wait a minute, if I remember correctly, she’s a member of that new club that only allows students from that one specific class to join, I’m pretty sure that Regis kid who rallied the students earlier is also part of them”
“Really? What kind of club can handle a nut job like that!?”
“I’d probably won’t survive such a club…they might be even scarier than the Tricobrial”
As the students continue to discuss behind her Sakuya continued murdering everything she saw in sight seemingly even unaware of the student’s existence
Despite what her clothing, manner of speech and behavior suggests she is a born warrior fitting for the country that she grew up in she is battle hungry in every sense of the word
“Sa: I have no idea why father was so wary of learning magic, just look at how much destructive force is at my fingertips now, I knew coming here was a good idea!”
Sakuya said thinking out loud completely unconcerned that the people present all heard that
“E: how surprising, Sakuya is going overboard again, I don’t remember telling her to cleave whole buildings apart”
Elise sarcastically remarked
“As: why did you think this was a good idea? We all saw it during training, she’s reckless, self-destructive and the concept of teamwork seems to go over her head all the time”
Asher sighed
“E: because, that’s exactly what makes her so efficient at handling these things”
“As: you really do have a bad habit of using people you know that?”
“E: says the king of social darwinism and anarchy himself…”
Elise denied
“E: there’s nothing (inherently) wrong about putting people in positions where their quirks can ne fully utilized”
Elise playfully said
“As: fine…that’s not important right now, we have bigger fishes to fry”
“Re: how’s the situation going?”
Regis said stopping in the middle of a seemingly empty street corner
“Si: so far so good, the Tricobrial is about to make their move considering how desperate we made them”
“Re: hmm…I’m having conflicted thoughts on Asher, Elise and the principal, on one hand their efforts in dealing with an international is noble (in a sense) and ambitious which I respect but…”
“Si: but what?”
“Re: they’re a bit too untrustworthy if you ask me, people who profit off of others behind their backs are wrong no matter what their end goal is”
“Si: should you really be saying this to me?”
Sieg puts his arms behind his head and said
“Re: don’t worry I know you won’t say anything to them”
“Si: ho? And why not?”
“Re: practically, it gains you nothing and I just don’t think you’re that kind of person”
Regis said decisively
His voice contained a dizzying honesty to them reverberating in the ears of all who listen
“Si: heh…careful your highness the more you try to see the good in people, the easier it is to pull a rug from under you”
“Re: I am aware…”
“Damn it all!!! At this pace we’ll be force to activate the artifact sooner than planned”
Lex angrily curses
(The artifact was only supposed to be activated after master utopia had come to this isle)
“We have no choice, the magicol gathered will be harder to control this way, but if I, that half-blood and Renzy don’t survive, summoning the master will be a pipe dream”
“nascetur fractio coronam monstrorum oriuntur solio sanguinis sua et ipse lotus orbis in quantum horror hora crepusculum incipit”
As the chant finishes all of the cultist around Avalon stopped, as if their brains had suddenly shut down
“What the…”
A student pushes the body of tone of the cultist who just tried to stab him a second ago down confused by the sudden silence that has fallen upon the battle
But little did he know the carcass of the cultist hid something within them
“Sa: huh? That’s boring…wait, why are those things on their heads glowing?”
The emerald colored light that’s shaped like a tiara around the cultist’s heads began to glow brighter
“Si: oh crap!”
“Re: fall back! Use the emergency teleportation if necessary…”
“Si: time to bail”
rampant magicol began to fill the area causing a magic hazard
(Explanation: a magic hazard is when a spell, enchanted item or magical being begins emitting too much magic for the environment to control, that explosion cause by the 0.3 milligrams of pebbles made of magicyte in earlier chapters could also be considered a magic hazard although it was a directed one the effects of magic hazards can range from destruction, entropic infusion to total event collapse in some cases) (explanation provided by Asher)
Explosions erupted across Avalon causing massive collateral damage
“As: (sighs)…of course they had a backup plan”
“E: you said it like we didn’t expected this”
Elise quietly puts on her gloves
“As: expecting something and hoping that it would happen is two different things”
“E: regardless the students should be safe as long as none of them got blasted into the void, the emergency teleportation device should have done it’s job and brought them to the safe zones”
“As: a seismic control center, a convenient use of magicyte, an emergency escape and even the manipulation of the entrance exam…your mom really did prepare everything for this battle, all we needed to do was pick up the pieces”
“E: she’s likes to gamble like that, but she isn’t stupid as to do it without a certainty that she could win”
(As: precognition is such a deus ex Machina)
Asher thought making plans for the foreseeable future
“As: nonetheless now that the cult’s bringing out their big guns, the benefits prin. Cornelia gave us are all but nullified, what happens next is entirely dependent on our skills”
“E: lets move…oh yeah how much time do we have again?”
“As: horologium dominum (master clock)”
Asher chanted
“As: in our perspective, about 2 and a half hour”
“E: alright, it’s our turn to make our debut”
