Divine Emperor of Death - Chapter 3769: White-Haired Heaven's Warrior
“A young Heaven’s Warrior…?”
The white-haired Heaven’s Warrior uttered.
His facial features were striking, and he had a sharp nose. His eyes, a deep blue that mirrored the color of his robes, seemed to pierce through their very soul. The air around him shimmered with a magnificent heavenly aura that invoked awe in almost every being he came across.
His expression was that of a surprise as he didn’t expect the other party to be truly a Level One Immortal Emperor as he imagined she was suppressing her cultivation instead from what he had heard from Town Lord Maluk Revera’s account.
“Did you apprehend the inheritor?”
“Who are you?”
Clara’s eyes shone purple as she raised her brows, including her voice, and her aura did not retreat one bit in front of that man despite the power difference. It was as though Clara’s heavenly aura bestowed her with more authority.
‘Transcendent Truth Eyes…!’
Her ability to stay calm astonished the white-haired Heaven’s Warrior, and he was even more shocked to see the Transcendent Truth Eyes Physique.
Such a physique’s owner was said to be a heaven-born ruler, intended to lead the human race to a better future and the only Heaven’s Warrior actually allowed to own a power to themselves, just like the-
“Are you not affiliated with the Divine Sentinel Order?”
His tone was one of reverence when mentioning it, but his gaze when looking at the female Heaven’s Warrior also softened, his voice becoming warmer.
“No, but I’m going to enlist myself sooner or later as it is inevitable for me.”
Clara coldly replied as though it was a matter of fact.
However, the white-haired Heaven’s Warrior didn’t look offended but merely nodded.
“A young genius and a preordained ruler like you doesn’t need to worry about the prisoner. Let me send her back to her realm, and you can carry on with your heavenly journey.”
He extended his hand out and offered to help, making Clara’s eyes narrow.
She didn’t know what to do as declining his offer may make her seem suspicious, but on the other hand, accepting it would put Shirley in danger as he most likely wouldn’t be sent back to the Fire Phoenix Lower Realm but sent to the Divine Sentinel Order in order to entrap her big brother.
And, of course, she knew what the Divine Sentinel Order was.
It is a group made up of a large number of Heaven’s Warriors and seated on top of it was none other than the second disciple of the Celestial Transcendent.
“Fear not. I am not your enemy. In fact, I am exhilarated at the opportunity the heavens have bestowed me with. After all, who wouldn’t be honored to aid a Heaven’s Warrior of this caliber, such as your majestic self.”
The white-haired man’s expression turned pious, “The heavens sincerely adores you.”
“…” Shirley, Panqa, Zanqua, Lanqua, and Yilla couldn’t bear to see that expression as it was revolting, but they were not revolted over his face but the influence the heavens held over him.
It seemed like he would do anything to earn Clara’s approval.
It was no wonder these Heaven’s Warriors could kill a Divergent baby without batting an eyelid. They worshiped the heavens and sought to end anything that disrupted the myriad wheels of the universe. In other words, they were fanatics, no different than a death squad looking to sacrifice their lives for the heavens.
Clara, on the other hand, didn’t feel much as she felt it was rather normal.
“Is that so? Then help me deal with the other spatial anomalies in the nearby towns. As for this one, I need to get some more information out of her as it pertains to the secrets of the Candidacy and the discovery of that unknown realm’s location.”
The white-haired man cupped his hands, “Very well. A heavenly being such as yourself would have many things weighing on your mind. However, I advise the honored one not to take this vile inheritor’s words seriously as she may have surrendered while having some kind of untoward plan in her mind.”
He took a step forward, walking in the air as he came closer and made a sieving motion.
“I suggest we lop off her head, seal her cultivation base, and soulscour her since it is possible she could harm your majestic self.”
He stood in front of Clara, a water blade running through his arm while he gazed at the black-robed inheritor but couldn’t see her eyes or her expression due to the hood.
“You think I don’t have a plan myself?”
Suddenly, Clara’s voice echoed. She seemed to be trembling.
“My apologies.”
The white-haired man blinked before he dropped his hands and took a step back, “I have overstepped my bounds.”
“Indeed. You are insolent.” Clara’s gaze sharpened as she stared at him, “Is this how you lived your life, treating all life as insignificant when the heavens don’t treat one like that as it treats everyone fairly except us because we uphold its fairness in its stead?”
“…”
Surprisingly, the white-haired man lowered his head.
“Forgive me, Your Majesty.”
“Begone from my sight. I’m sincerely disappointed in you.”
Clara’s cold words were like spears.
It made the white-haired man shudder as though he was stabbed before he controlled himself and turned around, leaving the place without saying anything.
“What the…” Shirley gawked after he left, “Clara, I never knew you could hoodwink this much.”
“She didn’t…”
At this moment, Yilla’s voice echoed out, causing everyone to look at her.
“That’s what she genuinely thinks. She may be on our side on the account of being able to control herself, but I still think she’s under the jurisdiction of the heavens as long as he can use her powers. Isn’t that right, Clara?”
“…”
Clara remained silent.
She had also realized that just now but didn’t know what this meant for her.
Raising her hand, she looked at her palm, wondering if something was lying await in her to explode, but she couldn’t sense any irregularity as she was fully aware, receiving minor influence from the heavens, which she could easily ignore.
In fact, she only held praise for Evelynn for deriving such a treatment method. After all, crippling her physique would be safer than leaving her like this, yet Evelynn came up with a method that allowed her to retain full control while still enabling her to use her powers.
Nonetheless, this strange mix was what made her think about whether she would turn on them again sooner or later. After all, the hex seal on her physique wasn’t foolproof.
In the distance, the white-haired man returned to Revera Town and he was treating like a king, but halfway through the town, he stopped and looked confused.
‘Strange… blonde hair and purple eyes… isn’t that the trait of the Divine Emperor of Death’s mother…? Didn’t the report say that there was also his little sister, but her features and powers were unknown? However, both their names and appearances weren’t there in the report as there were too many names and descriptions of them apparently…’
He found the whole thing suspicious now that he thought about instead of being taken aback by her authority.
Eventually, he shook his head, ‘Those purple eyes were more unique than any purple eyes since they host the Transcendent Truth Eyes, and blonde hair is quite common in the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm. I suppose she’s a Heaven’s Warrior from the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm…’
He continued to make his way to the Town Lord to hear about the next inheritor.
They wouldn’t usually be going after these people, but since the order came from the Elluro Coldwing- no, the Celestial Transcendent himself, they were going to apprehend every inheritor that came out but, most importantly, on the lookout for the Divergents and Anarchic Divergents that would emerge from the First Haven World, intending to kill them before they could grow and bring calamities, especially the Divine Emperor of Death who was first on the list!
