Divine Emperor of Death - Chapter 3771: Stopped
The battleship had begun moving, looking like it was about to take off at its top speed before slowing down over the barricade of mountain ranges. However, before it could even propel faster, the battleship came to a stop.
Just as Clara and the others were wondering why the ship came to a stop, the voice of that white-haired Heaven’s Warrior resounded.
It caused Clara to inwardly sigh before she walked to the front of the battleship where the deck was located. From there, one could see the surroundings as the battleship was fully enclosed in armor, while the front area possessed a drill-like structure that could probably cause heavy damage when colliding, so the deck area was heavily fortified.
From the projection, Clara was able to see the white-haired, blue-robed man standing in the air.
“If it isn’t anything related to the Divergents, don’t bother me.”
Clara spoke in the deck, and the sound formation emitted her voice outside with amplification, but it didn’t necessarily amplify her powers.
“Your majesty, I know your time is valuable, but this trouble has caused us Heaven’s Warriors a significant loss. There are fragmented reports of mysterious assassins hunting down Heaven’s Warriors in many realms, so I plead with you to allow me to accompany you wherever you go. It is important to protect your life rather than to waste time hunting down these vile inheritors.”
“…”
Clara’s brows narrowed.
There were assassins hunting down Heaven’s Warriors?
Assassins really don’t differentiate against their targets, do they?
She wondered if they didn’t know the immensity of heaven or earth or if these assassination attempts were from a Divergent who could potentially control people.
As far as she knew, even the Ghost Tear Hall and other assassination organizations had death squads that would focus on killing the target even if they were to lose their lives in the process.
Nonetheless, this was nothing but a nuisance to her.
She decided to reveal one of the truths.
“Your worries are unfounded, as I’m just an avatar. If you want to protect me, then I do not need your strength or concern since I already am in a safe place in another realm.”
“Oh…”
The white-haired Heaven’s Warrior nodded his head, “In that case, I presume that there is no need to worry. But if something does happen, please don’t hesitate to call me. I have given Commander Dalun my messaging talisman.”
He cupped his hands and left.
Clara’s eyes were still narrowed.
She found this whole thing rather abrupt and suspicious.
‘Could it be that he is onto us…?’
She doubted, but looking at Commander Dalun extending a messaging talisman with both his hands respectfully, Clara stared.
However, she didn’t take it.
After all, who knows what kind of tracking ability this unknown messaging talisman has?
There were an incredible number of messaging talismans, all of them different in function. Some were used for long-distance communication, some for short distances, and some are limited by their single usage but have immense security.
The Quarter-Million Messaging Talisman and Millennium-Million Messaging Talisman were used for long-distance communication but had minimal security. Someone could potentially tap into it if there was a detection formation between the connections or could even be heard by someone who is knowledgeable in Sound Laws and Space Laws.
The general rule was that the lesser the range and the fewer times a messaging talisman could be used, the more security there was, but every messaging talisman’s intensity was also limited by their grade.
Some could even be laden with tracking. It could be natural or even inscribed artificially.
She didn’t take it and waved her hand, pushing Commander Dalun away with her soul force before she turned around and walked away.
“…?”
Meanwhile, Commander Dalun was wondering if the white-haired Heaven’s Warrior was trying to pursue this icy blonde beauty. He didn’t know what marriages coupling Heaven’s Warriors were like, but he had heard such arrangements do happen in the Upper Realms when Heaven’s Warriors have reached their peak and decide to settle down to continue their legacy, although it doesn’t seem like their children would carry on their uniqueness in most cases.
It was more like their sons or daughters would be married to future Heaven’s Warriors in an attempt to give future Heaven’s Warriors solace since they shouldn’t be messing with the general populace or the high society.
The battleship took off again.
A few hours passed, and they finally made it back to Highnode Town.
Clara and the others alighted the battleship. She turned to look towards the direction of the Revera Town, wondering if the white-haired Heaven’s Warrior had followed them. She couldn’t tell.
Although there were some flying boats flying in their direction, it was merely a common route, and anyone who wanted to travel would be inside. She couldn’t go through every single one of them.
Regardless, she ordered Commander Dalun to arrange a guest room for them again, a new one since the old one could be bugged.
Meanwhile, Shirley got locked up in a cellar.
However, it wasn’t her main body but her avatar.
As for her true body, she had left towards the Great Desolate Plains upon sneaking out while Panqa and Zanqua acted like they were about to fight and asked Commander Dalun to let them out so that they don’t harm the town.
Shirley had used this chance to leave.
She flew, heading straight towards the temporary base. She was concealed, but she was still faster than an Immortal Emperor Grade flying boat, which allowed her to breeze through the hot desert at incredible speed.
She arrived in less than ten minutes, only to see a massive two-kilometer-long golden ant shuddering on the ground as it released King-Tier undulations. New features materialized on its body.
Nonetheless, her gaze wasn’t on the ant for much longer as she looked at the people on the hill.
Her heart sped and pounded louder, but it seemed like they were unable to detect her concealment, causing her to giggle. She descended, noticing a detection formation, but it was unable to detect her, as her concealment prowess was basically at the Empyrean level.
If it weren’t for the sealed Revera Town, she would’ve long run and ventured into the outskirts.
Setting her foot on the hill, she daintily appeared behind Davis, extending out her hands to wrap her hands around him and hold him tightly as though she had seen him after nine millenniums. However, the figure in front of her faded away, and two arms wrapped her from behind.
“If you want to sneak up on me, make sure to conceal your emotions as well since my Heart Intent is sensitive to not only murderous intent…”
Davis whispered in her ear as he held Shirley tightly, his voice teasing, “Besides, Clara already told me you’re coming.”
“Welcome back, Shirley~”
Tanya and the others smiled at her, seeming like they were all expecting her, although Tanya took her hand off her sword as she was startled a bit by Shirley’s sudden appearance.
“…”
Shirley pouted, but she couldn’t help but look behind and connect her lips with him, wanting that deep kiss that was like medicine to her heart that had experienced loneliness even though she had only separated from him for a week and a few more days in the time chamber.
Davis couldn’t stop himself. He made out with Shirley, their lips ferociously pressing on each other while they kissed.
It was only after thirty seconds he let her go, his gaze returning to sanity.
“Now, let’s find your other two sisters who lost their way home.”
“Mhm~
