Divine Emperor of Death - Chapter 3778: Ethereal Wheel Projection Technique
Evelynn and Zenova Artoria didn’t stay in one place for too long.
They constantly changed places while collecting information in the Rogavril City.
Evelynn also took this time to study the technique named Ethereal Wheel Projection.
It was the technique that Zenova Artoria invented to fake her immortal aura into a transcendent aura.
All she had to do was create two wheels that spun above and below the Immortal Vessel.
It was extremely similar to the cultivation wheel of the Transcendent Cultivation System that exists within the dantian. It had replaced the Immortal Vessels of the Immortal Cultivation System.
She had also learned a bit about the Transcendent Cultivation System. If she could cripple her cultivation base safely, her knowledge was at a level where she could safely start practicing Transcendent Cultivation System up until the Monarch Stage or even the Sovereign Stage if she spent some time learning more.
This was due to the uniqueness that was found within the Transcendent Cultivation System, which sped up its integration into the many immortal cultivation methods that were already established with a good foundation and very few flaws. After all, the Immortal Cultivation System was there for hundreds of millions of years, so how could it be easily replaced by the Transcendent Cultivation System if not for its speedy integration and fewer requirements?
This uniqueness was apparently found by the Celestial Transcendent and shared with the entire human race, but such information about the Celestial Transcendent was only available to a select few powers or individuals like Myria.
Finally, Evelynn created two fake wheels that acted as a Transcendent Wheel inside her middle dantian after a few hours.
It was connected to all three of her energies since the Transcendent Wheel was supposed to be connected to all three cultivation systems. From the soul to the body, essence to the body, all three were connected in the middle dantian.
However, she frowned a bit as it impeded about ten percent of her energy capacity of all cultivation systems, but she guessed it was a fine trade-off to be able to blend in. Then again, she had swallowed the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill of the Lower Realm, so she didn’t lack when it came to energy capacity.
She could still keep battling an Empyrean all day long despite being a peak Early Stage Immortal Emperor.
Fortunately, she could destroy this technique anytime she wanted with minor backlash and remake it if she wanted to. It didn’t really have any use other than transmuting her immortal aura into one of transcendent aura, but if Zenova Artoria included some kind of hidden trap, she wouldn’t know either.
Without saying, she practiced this technique, knowing the risk.
Evelynn unleashed her undulations.
It was one of transcendence, making her smile. Her aura also had distinctively changed into one of an Early Stage Sovereign, but at the source, it was still her signature aura.
“Don’t expand your undulations more than necessary. Ultimately, this technique is just a placeholder and will not be able to transmute your undulations into that of transcendence if you unleash your immortal energy fast or big enough.”
Zenova Artoria advised.
Evelynn nodded.
No matter how Zenova Artoria may be smart or a genius when it comes to creating concealment techniques like this, she was still a person who was less than two hundred years old. There was no way her concealment techniques could be godly, obviously coming with restrictions and backlashes that she may have to work on later on.
However, as a technique, it certainly passed the usable standards for concealing one’s undulations and aura.
As long as she didn’t enter a battle, Evelynn didn’t think she would be exposed.
And in a city, it was rare for a woman to be challenged or be forced into a battle. Instead, it was more probable that they would be hit on just by the appearance of their figure alone. Whether to ignore them or teach them a lesson would depend on their actions.
They walked out of a room they rented in an inn. They had already paid a few Mid-Level Immortal Crystals they robbed from the supreme geniuses in the Astral Forgeheart Minor Realm, so there was nothing suspicious about them.
“I’m glad we landed in a lawless realm compared to a proper one.”
Zenova Artoria sent a soul transmission to Evelynn, “After all, the security is so lax that they opened the city gates an hour ago.”
“Or it’s a trap.”
Evelynn answered.
“Could be…”
Zenova lightly shrugged, “I don’t think the Three-Headed Hydra Lower Realm’s reputation is quite good for them to be so focused on hunting down Divergents or the Inheritors of the Candidacy. After all, it is said that they ignore requests from Lower Realms and commands from Upper Realms and let the playing field be as lawless as possible unless they are personally provoked.”
“…”
Evelynn didn’t know what to think.
While she was studying the Ethereal Wheel Projection Technique in an inn, Zenova Artoria was out collecting information. She didn’t bother if Zenova Artoria were to leave her just like that, but she came back, and they set off together.
Zenova Artoria came up with a plan, so they were going to their destination right now.
On the other hand, Evelynn was clueless.
At this point, she was just relying on Zenova Artoria’s sharp mind to get them out of this situation.
“But I bet you feel it would’ve been better for you if you had just appeared near him. You won’t have to deal with me either.”
“Dealing with you aside, I would’ve loved to appear near him. Nothing beats staying together even in death.”
“Quite the romantic you are~”
Zenova Artoria giggled ever so lightly, her bosoms shaking.
“…”
Evelynn wondered when she wasn’t.
Did her killer aura really make her look so evil that even Zenova Artoria was taking her for a poisonous witch?
They didn’t conceal themselves anymore and rid a carriage to their destination. After all, flying in the city was forbidden. Even Immortal Emperors and Sovereigns were barred from flying. This rule applied to all people except the head guards, top administration members like the City Lord, nobility, and royalty of the Three-Headed Hydra Clan.
The Three-Headed Hydra Clan ruled this realm. The others were free to contend with them, but they were always met with a quick barrage of consequences as the clan was said to be ruthless.
Soon, they arrived near their destination.
They alighted the carriage and stood in front of a tall building that appeared to be a nine-story palace. It seemed rundown at a glance, uncolorful, and seemed to be abandoned, but it belonged to the City’s Intelligence Network.
Zenova Artoria inwardly sighed as she looked at Evelynn.
She promised that she would deliver her to Davis faster. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be here.
After all, they may be here to procure information, but the intelligence network would also try to procure information on them.
“This would be the fastest way to gain what you want. Are you sure you want to enter?”
“Yes.”
Evelynn didn’t hesitate.
She stepped forward and passed through the gates.
Zenova Artoria also entered.
She had gone on information collection, but the information she could obtain was very limited to this city and the nearby towns. She needed more. She needed information on the entirety of the forty-eight Lower Realms to see if she was going to stay one step ahead of those who would try to hunt her down.
‘Nothing’s changed… I’m just going to use the same old ways you taught me to survive, Father…’
Her gaze sharpened.
