Divine Emperor of Death - Chapter 3792: A Bigger Threat?
Time passed.
Evelynn wasn’t found even on the third day. They started to panic as they sent people both north and south, but she was still nowhere to be found.
On the fourth day’s morning, Evelynn’s voice finally resounded in Davis’s head.
He jumped in shock, unable to conceal his smile as he heard Evelynn’s voice. Connecting with her vision, she saw that she was with Zenova Artoria. He couldn’t understand why they would be together as he had guessed Zenova Artoria would be in the Blazing Thunderlight Kirin Minor Realm.
Rumor had it that there was a group of Heaven’s Warriors looking for her there since she had the suspicion of being a Divergent.
Nonetheless, the moment Evelynn mentioned Highnode Town, alarm bells rang in his mind as he warned her not to go there and that he would pick her up, except he wasn’t in a position to move in the direction of Highnode Town as there quite a few Heaven’s Warriors assembled there, all in order to see Clara.
He was willing to take the risk and enter Highnode Town. After all, only the town was the entry point to the Great Desolate Plains. Ridiculously tall mountains fully covered the wings of the Highnode Town, so it would be difficult to make it through unless they were going to carve their way through the mountain, but that would create a lot of disturbance.
It was better to wait, as Evelynn said, but he was anxious, imagining that something could happen before that time.
Sending Clara allowed them to save Shirley without a problem, but it instead attracted the top wigs of the Heaven’s Warriors organization. They see a ruler among them, and they try to recruit them to the best of their ability. In this case, it happened to be Clara.
Davis should’ve known this, but he thought Clara’s physique was no longer significant. He underestimated her importance. He guessed she wouldn’t garner this kind of attention since Evelynn suppressed her physique. Its powers should’ve dropped quite a bit since the heavenly aura should’ve receded, but it was just the opposite in the true immortal world.
It grew even stronger, displaying the true authority of the heavens.
And this was still supposed to be her suppressed state?
From Clara’s main body, he sensed the heavenly aura was almost ninety percent as strong as Clara’s original heavenly aura before it was suppressed by Evelynn. However, Clara still seemed to hold well against it, not being influenced much. Was this because she had experience fighting against the heavenly influence?
Davis couldn’t tell, but he hoped this was the case and that it would continue to be the case.
Still, even before the Heaven’s Warriors, there was one main problem.
It was the fact that assassins congregated in the Highnode Town, all because Clara was a ruler among Heaven’s Warriors, and she should be killed before she grew, no matter what.
At least, this was the impetus behind the assassin who was caught trying to assassinate Clara without knowing she was only an avatar. That assassin spread the information and brought other assassins over, and to counter that, the Heaven’s Warriors assembled, unaware that Clara was an avatar.
They only heard of it after arriving in the Highnode Town, but they continued to guard her as some karmic attacks were capable of shattering the defenses of an avatar.
Davis didn’t know what to feel since the hateful Heaven’s Warriors were protecting his little sister with all they had. Perhaps they had their own agenda in wanting to recruit her to their separate Heaven Warriors’ factions, but it couldn’t change the fact one of them almost lost his life trying to protect her.
It was that Peak-Level Sovereign Stage Heaven’s Warrior who protected Clara from a soul-searing poison. He knew she was an avatar but apparently still threw himself in front of her to shield her from harm.
Even he wouldn’t go that far to protect an avatar if he knew they soul-searing poison was incapable of harming the main body.
Regardless, Davis had been pissed and was about to unleash the ant army at the Highnode Town, create chaos and leave the region or even the realm since it had become all confusing with three different forces clashing openly and secretively.
A cleansing would happen, and no one would bother to set foot in the Great Desolate Plains for the next thousand years at the very least. Even if they did, their mini realm from Stella had already been set up deep underground so they could hide for as long as they wanted.
All they had to do was make it look like Clara’s avatar died in the ant invasion, and the Heaven’s Warriors would go look for her elsewhere. He didn’t care if they found her true identity at that point since he and his family would be long gone.
But then, he was forced to consider again since Evelynn appeared now.
Davis wondered what kind of assassin organization would dare offend Heaven’s Warriors and apparently, it seemed that it was a new assassination organization. New was relative since it appeared to be created two million years ago, so it made sense Myria didn’t know about it.
Even the supreme geniuses he soulscoured lacked knowledge of it since it was so secretive.
He wondered if it was the Ghost Tear Hall since it was created in the First Haven World, but it was not.
It was named— Heavenly Blight Hall.
Such a daring name made him wonder who its leader could be, and it turned out very much as he had expected— an Anarchic Divergent.
He didn’t hear much as this was information retrieved by Clara from the captured assassin and the Heaven’s Warriors, but it seemed this Anarchic Divergent possessed a tremendously powerful treasure that allowed him to escape as he pleased, and just by hearing that— Davis couldn’t help but imagine one of the Primeval Law Treasures, the Space-Time Quintessence Ring.
It was an apex treasure that stood at the same height as the Tablet of Life and Death and Thread Essence of Karma that supposedly made up Fallen Heaven.
Just imagining that made Davis feel an unimaginable chill since such a treasure would possibly be able to ignore all forms of universal restrictions of space, meaning that such a figure could come to the Third Layer and enter the First Layer as they pleased without even having the need go through the Second Layer.
It should be capable of ridiculous maneuvers since it was a Spacetime Primeval Law Treasure.
If this person targeted him, would he possibly be able to survive?
Davis could tell that the answer was an instant no.
So what would happen if this person targeted his little sister because she was a ruler among Heaven’s Warriors?
