- Chapter 3876: Ridiculous Physiques Of Her Disciples
Davis nodded at Kisha Blackheart, thinking it was best not to converse with her now as she didn’t seem to be the type to understand what kind of situation they were in. He moved on, looking towards a woman clad in a crimson robe.
She appeared to be blind, her eyes a full shade of milky white. She didn’t appear to have pupils, although it might just be the case of concealed within. Her long silver hair was meticulously tied in a bun, and the rest fell down in waves.
She possessed a zither by her side, which made Davis curious as he hadn’t seen too many sound or music cultivators. After all, he had his hands full with survival and couldn’t go to refined places to meet them.
As far as he knew, only Shea, Yilla, and a few others knew how to play zither skillfully, but they couldn’t attack or support using it. They hadn’t learned such a thing. Perhaps Myria and Ellia could, but he had never seen them do so.
“She’s Isolde Grimsong, my seventh disciple. She possesses the Oblivion Echo Soul, which resonates with the invisible and mute sound of the void. When she plays her music, she can erase energy and matter from existence. The sound waves she produces can cause structures to collapse, beings to dissolve, and entire mini worlds to vanish without a trace.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Divine Emperor of Death. I hope you won’t stray away from the goodness in your heart.”
Isolde Grimsong raised her hands and cupped her fists. Each movement of hers was filled with elegance, just like her mature voice.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, too.”
Davis returned the greeting, feeling his heart calm and his muscles relax from the echo of her voice. It seems that matter isn’t the only thing she could eliminate as she appeared to be also capable of eliminating the tension, calming other people with her sound waves.
Still, for her to be able to erase something out of existence or make something collapse from the inside, he felt it was similar to Rumbling Laws.
Nonetheless, Davis turned his face once again, looking at a black-robed man with short hair.
He seemed to be the only one who was practically carefree among them as he reclined in his seat and kept his legs above the table, appearing to sleep. He possessed a rugged yet handsome look. His short, tousled black hair gave him a laid-back appearance, yet there was an undeniable strength radiating from him. His eyes were a deep green as he opened them to meet his gaze.
“This is my eighth disciple, Karyot. He is a fey who possesses a fey physique of divergence, the Warping Gust Wings. He could sprout as many as eight wings from his back, allowing him to entwine winds that bend space and even time. In other words, he creates a vacuum that acts like a spatial bubble, which enables him to breeze through spatial layers as he pleases. His ability to escape is probably the best among us, so we may have a use for him.”
Karyot raised his hand, put down a ‘V’ sign with his fingers, and went back to closing his eyes and sleeping.
Saintess Lunaria inclined her head, “Karyot, is that the manners I taught you?”
“No, no…”
Karyot flinched, sitting straight before he cupped his hands towards Davis.
“Nice to meet you, Divine Emperor of Death. I don’t have anything to say other than you have to address master more respectfully, but even then, I don’t care as I can just swing my fists and make others do what I want if their ignorance goes overboard.”
“…”
Davis didn’t respond. He turned to look at the last person whom he didn’t know and opened his mouth.
“So you’re the tenth disciple.”
Davis looked at the velvet-robed woman who couldn’t stop smiling.
He knew Wix Voidfield was the ninth disciple and Myria and Ellia were the eleventh and twelfth disciples respectively. So, the spots left were the second disciple and the tenth disciple. However, an Anarchic Divergent had died way earlier, so he guessed that person was the second disciple, making it so this velvet-robed woman in front of him was none other than the tenth disciple.
She also looked extremely young and petite, only five more inches taller than his Aila Cherryweave.
She wore a veil, but that did nothing to hide her smiling eyes. Her velvet robe was a rich shade of red, appearing soft and luxurious, but her long hair was more vibrant as it was pink, curly, and lovely.
But different than his Aila, this woman possessed bright blue eyes of joy, her delightful aura infectious as it made him smile without being able to control himself. She was like a burst of warm sunshine who lights up the room, pretty and innocent.
“She’s indeed my tenth disciple, Laphria Rinmei.”
Saintess Lunaria also spoke delightedly when she mentioned her tenth disciple.
“She’s the most cheerful of all my disciples and never ceases to bring joy to the room. However, she has a ridiculous physique, which manifests in her hair. Those vibrant pink hair you see is imbued with some kind of strange cosmic energy. Her hair can extend and weave into the fabric of space without damaging them, triggering unpredictable bursts of illusions in another’s perception that are just as real to them as it absorbs heaven and earth energy to produce their illusions. In other words, each strand of hair is an illusion talisman on its own which can become a reality.”
“…”
Davis stared at Laphria Rinmei, who giggled proudly.
“Because of this physique, which we named Ethereal World Weaver, she was able to hide the entire space around me when I went through my Empyrean Tribulation. No matter who chanced upon the crimson annihilative clouds from a distance or felt annihilative aura from outside the tribulation area, they would confuse it with something else or won’t even sense it due to the illusion she had set up.”
Davis’s jaws dropped.
Needless to say, this was just the kind of power he was looking for.
“Of course, I don’t think she can handle your tribulation as yours summons twelve Paragon Magical Beasts, and mine summons only four. Even if the tribulation stage is different, the scale between the difficulty of our tribulations is entirely different.” Saintess Lunaria frowned.
She couldn’t think of a good way to help him enter the Immortal Emperor Stage.
“…”
Davis felt that it would be fine if it was just the twelve Paragon Magical Beasts. The problem was the Celestial Transcendent descending, which made his Annihilative Heavenly Tribulation truly ridiculous enough to extend through space more than a normal or even a strong Annihilative Heavenly Tribulation.
He had the confidence to deal with the Celestial Transcendent but also hoped that there wasn’t anything more in store for him.
Nonetheless, he turned to look at Saintess Lunaria.
“Since you brought me here, I hope you have a plan to rescue my sworn brothers in the most efficient way possible. I also have to rescue my little sister, who nearly sacrificed her life because of my inability to protect her.”
Davis asked.
At the same time, his mind, which had gone dormant because he determined himself to brute force save his friends, was now working overtime to take advantage of the power of the Divergents present in order to save his friends in the most efficient way possible
