Divine Emperor of Death - Chapter 3879: To The Execution Stage
“He really came…”
Empyrean Miller Skyrend rubbed his beard, “That means the one at the northern edge is a diversion. So he’s not alone…”
He raised his chin, exuding a cold look before he instantly sent a few soul transmissions to the fellow Heaven’s Warriors.
Instantly, tens of Empyreans and Autarchs jumped to the front. There were fifteen Level Three, four Level Four, five Level Five, and two Level Six Empyreans and Autarchs, each of their undulations blaring as they tried to stop the Divine Emperor of Death in his tracks.
Even the realm officials from many realms joined. They jumped out of nowhere, intending to get his head first so that they could enjoy the karmic virtue.
However, their hearts clenched as they suddenly felt something was amiss.
“Heavens, begone from this land.”
A green-robed man appeared between them, radiating a strange undulation. His energy manifested in his tongue and spread with his voice, reverberating. It caused their bodies to freeze in place, unable to move, as he declared.
“This battle is not yours to interfere with.”
With a wave of his hand, he sent them flying, lacerations appearing in all parts of their bodies as spatial blades cut through them. At the same time, the Heaven’s Warriors displayed strange reactions as though they were choking.
Soon enough, they all spat out mouthfuls of blood, their expressions full of horror as they found themselves devoid of heavenly energy. It was like their lifeblood was taken away from them. It was like a cardinal rule of the universe was suddenly stripped away, causing their brains to stop working.
The mysterious force surrounding them seemed to be draining the Heaven’s Warriors of their power, leaving them vulnerable and weakened. Their once confident demeanor turned to fear and confusion as they struggled to comprehend what was happening to them.
Empyrean Miller Skyrend’s gaze flickered as his expression also changed.
It was clear that this situation was far from ordinary, with forces at play beyond their understanding.
“Who are you?”
He perceived this green-robed man to be more of a threat than the Divine Emperor of Death. The anarchic aura seeping from him couldn’t make it clearer that he was an Anarchic Divergent. It was unknown how he managed to hide his anarchic aura to this moment.
“Who are you all!?”
But while this happened, Empyrean Miller Skyrend also noticed the emergence of many Divergents.
The guards who captured Renfa Jadelight were all now on the ground, appearing to have fainted from a soul attack.
A crimson-robed, white-eyed woman stood by Renfa Jadelight’s side as she held a zither in her grasp.
“Don’t worry. All will be fine~” Isolde Grimsong spoke with a gentle tone.
She pulled a string, sending a dark wave of music to the ears of all the guards in the surroundings. These invisible notes slashed past the souls of the people present nearby.
Without even being able to put up a fight, they all fainted without even knowing it, plopping to the ground like a doll that had lost its puppeteer. However, the guards weren’t the only people who fainted.
The realm officials and even some weaker Heaven’s Warriors at the back, who barely remained conscious after receiving the shock from Jaiyan’s unholy attack, shuddered and blanked out while they kept kneeling.
Using this chance, a silver-robed man dashed past them. He rushed like a silver ball of fire heading towards the execution stage but struck an invisible line and got snuffed out. However, he appeared on the other side, causing the Heaven’s Warriors to flinch.
The other Heaven’s Warriors inside the barrier were safe from Jaiyan’s attack, so they didn’t think they would be in harm’s way.
They quickly launched a plethora of attacks—striking with precision and ferocity as they tried to overwhelm the intruder with a relentless onslaught from all directions. The air crackled with the sound of reverberations from the intense might of the Empyreans and Autarchs falling on him.
But suddenly, a golden barrier erupted from the silver-robed man.
“Absolute Cauldron Shell!”
With a roar, he summoned a powerful barrier to defend against the relentless attacks. The incantation echoed through the air as a shimmering, translucent shield materialized around him, effectively repelling the oncoming techniques. As their spells collided against the protective barrier, the silver-robed man stood resolute, looking like he couldn’t give a damn about the situation.
As soon as the attacks collided, he spread his hands and looked like he had reached nirvana.
Abruptly, an icy-blue-robed woman dashed past him, rushing past the Heaven’s Warriors without a single hint of fear in her cold eyes.
“Frigid Veil Sword Third Style, Aegis Reaver~”
The sword that was sheathed in the scabbard near her waist came out as she slashed. Thousands of icy rays emerged. She didn’t particularly target anyone, but the slash she made equally affected everyone in her range.
They were blown back as blood splattered from their stomachs. Their dantians were wounded, energy rushing away from them. The ice formed in their dantian didn’t seal the wound but caused the wound to be unable to heal, making all of them panic.
They tried to stand up but felt their entire bodies freeze from the attack as ice formed all over their flesh, eliciting a painful groan from them. Before they realized it, the silver-robed man and the icy-blue-robed woman rushed to the execution stage.
“Realm Master, stop them!”
Empyrean Miller Skyrend had rushed towards Jaiyan but turned to look at Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan’s Realm Master, Lombart Blackstone. However, he also appeared to have been sent flying as he looked injured.
“…!?”
Empyrean Miller Skyrend looked shocked. Was he acting, or was that woman’s sword strike really that powerful? She appeared to be at Level Six Empyrean Stage, considering the undulations. However, the Realm Master himself was a Level Six Empyrean with the additional benefit of receiving power from the realm, allowing his prowess to be as much as six levels higher together with his own prowess!
How could he fall!?
Nonetheless, he saw the executioner was already making a move and continued onwards, intending to end the threat he perceived to be the most dangerous. However, his pupils dilated.
Indeed, Reval Heremic and Glacia Frigidveil’s expressions changed. When they appeared there, the executioner was already swinging his glaive towards their necks, intending to behead them in one fell swoop as he aligned himself and raised his glaive all the way up to the skies.
They might be too late.
But at this moment, a dark light flashed forward. The scent of death it left made their eyes go wide as an undying chill was left in their hearts. The dark figure rushed past them with an entirely different speed than what they would expect from an Immortal King, shattering their common sense.
The dark figure materialized on the execution stage and spun, sending a roundhouse kick that caused a wave of tremendous death energy to billow upwards. The glaive’s long blade made contact with the fog of death, causing the glaive to sink into it.
“Haha! Too late!”
The execution plunged the glaive all the way to the ground, expecting to see the three heads fall.
Soaren Goldsun, who was at the far right and the nearest to the glaive, felt a cold chill seeping through his neck. His eyes went wide, fearing that it was already too late.
