Divine Emperor of Death - Chapter 3890: Overwhelming Suppression
*Booom!~*
Davis glanced into the distance, looking at the entrance of the valley. It seemed like their battle had started, which meant they were going to die if they didn’t escape or if they managed to get past them, but that was unlikely since he sensed his death puppets were the only Late Stage Autarchs who surpassed Level Nine Autarch Stage by two more levels.
If it weren’t for them, he wouldn’t have chosen to undergo his tribulation either.
He wasn’t actively controlling them as they were instinctively protecting him based on the last command he had given them, which was to guard the entrance from anyone who tried to enter. This was done to bypass the rule that he could not be helped during the tribulation.
His death puppets weren’t helping him but were guarding the entrance, not allowing anyone to enter, and that meant anyone— even his own family and allies.
They would not hesitate to kill Clara if she appeared here.
He felt somewhat complicated to the Heaven’s Warriors that she was taken away, allowing him the brief minute he needed to undergo his tribulation.
He looked back at the heavenly dark crimson clouds, also having considered that the heavens could probably break the hold he had over his death puppets once the tribulation descended. However, it didn’t do such a thing, making him wonder if the heavens didn’t consider dead Heaven’s Warriors to be a part of its arsenal.
Perhaps it couldn’t connect with them since he had stolen their soul essences and kept them hidden with Fallen Heaven. He guessed it could influence their physiques, but it didn’t do that as well.
Either way, he kept his mouth shut, not saying anything insulting against the heavens while he refined the three-kilometer-long heavenly lightning dragon.
He looked down, wondering if he should refine the heavenly water tribulation after the tribulation ended or was about to end.
However, he guessed that could be considered an offensive action against kindness, something only a backstabber would do. It could probably result in him losing karmic virtue benefits altogether in the future, so he was still at the point of thinking.
Nonetheless, his life energy was potent and powerful.
This heavenly lightning strike was huge, and its energy capacity was as immense as an Empyrean’s, but ultimately, its prowess was only at the peak of nine levels higher. He was unmatched as his life energy reached the peak of seventeen levels higher, almost double that of the heavenly lightning tribulation.
The refinement rate was practically quick. He refined the whole thing in six seconds and split it into nine heavenly lightning wisps before throwing it into his life ring again.
Davis looked above, knowing the Heavenly Yang Tribulation was going to begin.
He descended and went back into the heavenly water body, submerging himself inside it. After all, he didn’t want to be careless despite having extreme confidence. The Celestial Transcendent would attack his soul. That cannot be taken lightly.
Davis closed his eyes, waiting for the Heavenly Yang Tribulation to appear.
He basked in the warm embrace of the heavenly water, continuing to receive its grace. However, because his body was already crazily powerful, as much as sixteen levels higher after being tempered by the Gilded Realm Ascendant Pill, it was barely improving.
If he could extend the tribulation by wasting time, that may help the heavenly water improve his body and soul more. Unfortunately, its energy was not endless, and the tribulation’s prowess he faced was small, which meant there would not be much of an improvement after the initial improvement.
Besides, extending the time of the tribulation was not an option.
Davis was aware that he needed to quickly end the tribulation and leave. Otherwise, the chances of his survival will go down with unexpected things that are capable of happening.
Although refining heavenly water seemed to be a bad idea, Davis was hellbent on refining heavenly yang. Last time, because the World Master warned him not to refine heavenly yin, he heeded her advice and didn’t, but now, he was too powerful— powerful enough that he almost regretted not refining heavenly yin because the increase in karmic burden still wouldn’t be enough to kill him.
Still, with so many dangerous factors present and a few unknown factors to his tribulation, he was glad that he listened to the World Master.
Because of that, he could breeze through as he pleased.
‘They’re here…’
Davis’s soul was like an arrow and a taut bowstring. He was suddenly unleashed within his soul sea, stabbing right into empty space, his hand clad in death.
*Puchi!~*
He pierced through something, and only after feeling the sensation did Davis open his eyes, looking at the Celestial Transcendent, whose eyes were wide.
His golden-black body, made up of heavenly yang, pulsated before it was seemingly corrupted by death energy as the pitch-black mist spread everywhere in his body. Moreover, Davis put up multiple layers of karmic barriers.
It was a simple karmic barrier, but there were as many as hundreds superimposed on itself. It was not like Tia’s, as Davis was unable to learn such a complex karmic void zone technique. Besides, his focus was more on the threads and the effects they helped him unleash using various other laws rather than creating karmic void zones.
Still, Davis hoped that this would stop the Celestial Transcendent from sensing the location.
“Sorry. You are like a teacher to me, but I’m strapped for time. I’m afraid I can’t have a chat with you nor allow you to sense where I am. However, I do hope you will personally take care of my younger sister, who is a Heaven’s Warrior, until I come to kill her myself. Suppose I do hear that someone dared to harm her while under Heaven Warriors’ protection. In that case, my vengeance will be upon all Heaven’s Warrior organizations, and even the common populace would be at stake.”
Davis’s voice carried a hint of remorse, yet it was full of solemness.
Back then, the Celestial Transcendent gave him enough time to counterattack and even chatted with him like an elder in the neighborhood.
He couldn’t forget that incident, having some sense of gratitude in his heart towards this figure.
The Celestial Transcendent stared at Davis as he began to fade, looking speechless as he glanced around.
The twelve Paragon Magical Beasts— the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Serpent, Kirin, Turtle, Hydra, Phoenix, Wolf, and Fox, were all caught in an omnidirectional pulse of life energy within the soul sea. They were being forcefully refined while their Wills were still active, and the Paragon Magical Beasts couldn’t do anything but struggle and growl, unable to even launch an attack on Davis’s soul essence.
They were all caught and ended at the same time, causing the Celestial Transcendent to chuckle.
“You’re not going to refine me?”
“Unfortunately, I’m not foolish enough to refine your Will and allow you to trace me right back.”
“Hahaha!” The Celestial Transcendent heartily laughed, “Don’t worry. You did the right thing by eliminating me in an instant. My prowess is always one level above you until it reaches fifteen levels higher, so if you tarried, you might’ve not been able to eliminate me easily as I would’ve just run around and allowed the other Heaven’s Warriors to end you.”
“You’ve grown stronger.”
The Celestial Transcendent extended his hand and touched Davis’s head, causing the latter to freeze.
