Divine Emperor of Death - Chapter 3920: Too Infamous
Davis noticed his wives’ strange gazes. He gestured at Rokushi Mirai.
“This is none other than Rokushi Mirai, a Candidate like you three who participated in the Candidacy.”
“We met under different circumstances while I was protecting Clara, and she tried to kill me because I wanted her treasure. I ended up victorious and punished her accordingly, and the rest that followed suit was that she helped me divert the forces of Heaven’s Warriors, allowing me to have some leeway, but her most important contribution was that treasure. That was the sole thing that allowed me to be victorious over Empyreans and Autarchs, so I decided to bring her here. She also said that she doesn’t have anywhere to go and would like to learn Death Laws under my tutelage. If you all reject, then I think having Myria teach her would also be good.”
He said one thing but sent an entire soul transmission, explaining himself.
Evelynn, Shirley, and Isabella’s gazes flickered as they finally understood. So he was treating her as someone who helped him instead of an enemy. That was truly a special kind of treatment when he could’ve just ended her after taking her treasure, but they guessed he was too proper to commit a robbery unreasonably.
“Welcome to our mini-realm, the Second Void Dust Sanctuary. I’m glad you’re all safe and sound.”
Evelynn cupped her hands and bowed lightly. Shirley and Isabella also followed suit, inviting his friends and Rokushi Mirai into their realm.
“I’ll take care of them.” Shirley sent Davis a soul transmission before she gestured.
“Please follow me.”
Fenren and the others followed her into the mini realm. They could see it was only vast starry land with nothing in sight. However, the heaven and earth energy was stable and plentiful, making them understand it was regulated by an entity.
They knew it was the Void Dust Tree as they had also heard about the Void Dust Secret Realm from the advent of the Void Dust Empress.
Isabella also chose to follow them as she seemed to be uneasy with someone as powerful as Rokushi Mirai heading toward where the others were.
“She’s good. She appears to be tame, but it is also good to keep an eye on her.” Davis reminded them with a soul transmission as they left.
Shirley and Isabella nodded. They were not scared of Rokushi Mirai if it came to a battle.
This left Davis and Evelynn standing at the entrance. He walked towards her and stood in front of her, reaching out his hands to hold her hands softly.
“What? Are you mad at me for leaving without telling you anything?”
Evelynn shook her head with a smile, “Enough flirting with me. The others are also waiting for you, waiting to see you and rejoice. Come, let’s go.”
“Nice,” Davis uttered and strode.
With Evelynn clasping his hand, he felt overjoyed to take a stroll.
“Where is Stella? I thought she would be here to meet me first.” Davis blinked.
This was Stella’s realm, after all. It would be near impossible to enter this place without her knowing. However, she was nowhere to be seen.
“She’s in a breakthrough moment of entering the fourth cycle at the center of the realm.” Evelynn answered, “Apparently, this place is too good for her, and she believes that she could have faster breakthroughs in levels here after her cultivation base resets to Level One Immortal Emperor Stage.”
“Oh-” Davis nodded, “That’s good then.”
Stella was suppressing her breakthrough to the fourth cycle for a long time as she had already peaked in the third cycle. He guessed it was only a matter of time before she made this decision. Therefore, she might advance to the Level Three Immortal Emperor Stage once her breakthrough is over. Of course, she didn’t practice the Immortal Emperor Cultivation method, but her breakthroughs were quite similar, having nine levels and nine cycles.
He also had a lot of spatial-attribute resources to share from the loot he collected recently. This would aid her significantly.
He would have to identify and tally the other treasures along with Ellia and the other treasury heads like Iesha and Niera. There was so much work to do.
“It’s just— this breakthrough may disturb the region outside, so it is possible the local sect might check on us again.”
“No worries. Leave everything to me. The first thing I will do is fortify the space around our base.”
“…”
Davis smiled at her, causing Evelynn’s heart to skip a beat. Her gaze softened, wondering why she shouldn’t just forget about responsibilities and partake in lovemaking with him. But she was firm, knowing there would be a lot of chances in the future.
Since she had always been first, she didn’t mind being the last this time around.
She brought him to the others in the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace that was hidden in one of the palaces and abodes that were summoned here in sparse quantities. These were all constructs, some flying constructs, so all one would have to do is summon them from spatial rings or life rings and set them on the ground or leave them hovering in the skies after activating their foundational formations, which would affix them to the position whether in the land or the sky.
These ready-made buildings couldn’t make life any easier.
Davis and Evelynn entered the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace.
“Darling! You’re back!”
“We were waiting for you for so long. Why did you leave us without telling!?”
Mingzhi squealed in delight while Fiora’s eyes looked all red. It seemed that the latter found out that he left and had been worried ever since.
“Fiora, don’t be worried. Now that I’m an Immortal Emperor, no one is capable of harming me.”
Davis rushed towards her, passing by Mingzhi, and hugged Fiora, causing Mingzhi to gawk and stamp her foot on the ground.
“You rogue!” She clenched her teeth but smiled and relaxed.
Looking away, she heaved a big sigh of relief. He was finally back, and she couldn’t believe how light she felt. It was like all the worries were washed away.
Suddenly, she felt his arms wrap her from behind, making her blush.
Davis hugged Mingzhi from behind, patting her head, “There, there. I have made you all worry, but I made you worry too much because you always try to think far ahead. I hope you will forgive me for not listening to your words or using your plan. I can’t possibly endanger you.”
“I know…” Mingzhi said with warmth. She relaxed against him, with her cheeks pressing against his as she looked at the walls, feeling the room and the others fade in the comfort of his presence.
Fiora warmly rubbed her stomach lightly as she looked at them from their side. She hoped Mingzhi could get pregnant too before she could give birth.
“Don’t forgive him so easily. If he made one wrong move, it would’ve been disastrous for our family.” A melodious voice echoed as Ellia appeared.
“Uh…” Davis shuddered as though he was caught.
He turned to look around. From the distance, more beauties appeared. They all sensed his presence in the hall and rushed from their units, not having expected him to return so soon when he was practically two or even three realms away.
Natalya, Sophie, Shea, Eldia, Bylai, Zestria, Panqa, and Lanqua all rushed towards him. Even Mira was the spearhead of the charge, ramming straight into him.
“No, stop…!” Davis raised his hand, barely stopping Mira.
However, they all came closer and pounced on him, making him fall, but still held him as though recharging their energy.
Lea, Everlight, Tanya, Yilla, and Niera were a few meters away from him, looking at him floating in a sea of beauties as they shook their heads. Mira had even stuffed her huge bosoms in his face, refusing to let go.
Still, they glanced at each other, knowing it was going to be a bloodbath soon as they were all looking to warm his bed and receive his love.
The continuous struggle for survival and watching the other sisters get pregnant invoked something primal in them.
Evelynn watched them trouble Davis and knew that Shirley and Isabella were right. She clapped her hands twice, gaining their attention.
“Everyone, now that our husband is back, let us first have a small banquet to celebrate his return.”
“Yes!”
Everyone agreed with a smile.
“I’ll personally cook, so please wait while you all get to know of his unruly adventures.”
Evelynn uttered in a serene voice, causing the others to gawk. The big sister was cooking?
“I’ll help!” Natalya offered.
“Me too!” Shea hurriedly put up her hands.
Bylai: “Me!”
Lanqua: “Count me in!”
“Can I also join?” Mira asked, her eyes blinking innocently.
“There’s no need for so many! And you don’t know how to cook!”
Zestria yelled out, causing Mira to throw her bottom lips out as though she was going to cry. Panqa, who looked like she was also going to ask, made herself small. She didn’t know how to cook, unlike her elder sister.
“Jeez, one helper is enough. Natalya, come with me.”
“Yes, my Empress~”
Evelynn turned around and left, but she looked happier after receiving so many helpers. Natalya also followed piously.
Davis eventually stood up and saw that only Evelynn and Natalya had left while the rest were here with him in the hall, practically with stars in their eyes, as they expected to hear about what he did in the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Minor Realm.
He chuckled lightly, dusting the robes before he made them all sit and explained the course of events. Evelynn was also eying on him through her eyes, so only Natalya, Shirley, Isabella, Myria, Tina, Dalila, Schleya, Tia, Stella, and a few more were left out of the loop.
If they weren’t here, they were most likely secluded in cultivation, engaged in research, or simply resting like Nadia, who appeared to be asleep for the last two days as she was nearing the last stage of her pregnancy. Perhaps, in two or three months, she would give birth.
Davis didn’t find fault with any of them. Even now, he was full, occasionally taking advantage of their peals of laughter as he slid in a flirtatious praise or two.
Soon, the food came hot, served in big dishes by the head maid Esvele, and they partook in it. The banquet was also attended by Yotan, Aila, and the others who took notice. Shirley and Isabella also joined later.
Then came the night when he had to choose one to spend intimacy with, and without saying anything, he took Katherine, intending to combine the efforts of his learning and avatar’s insights in order to evolve her!
“…” It was unknown how many blamed Katherine for that night.
On the other hand, his avatar went around, securing the perimeter within and outside.
