Divine Emperor of Death - Chapter 3922: Quaking Earthflame Lion
*Trkk~* *Trkk!~*
The Quaking Earthflame Lion appeared majestic and formidable. Its once copper-colored man now has deepened into a rich, molten bronze, shimmering with a faint hint of gold. Its mane, even though it was a female, moved as though it was alive, mimicking the flow of molten lava.
Its body was armored in thick, jagged bronze-crimson scales possessing fissures glowing with a faint, earthen light, resembling magma veins running through the stone ground.
The Quaking Earthflame Lion was gargantuan, its size over two hundred meters tall and proportionally long.
Its massive paws, adorned with stone-metal claws, which sank into the void dust sand, moved, leaving a trail of fire in its wake. Its eyes glowed with a deep, amber hue, burning with cinders radiating off its eyes.
But most importantly, its tail was the one that made it look so ominous as the segments made up of small boulders clattered together, generating dense vibrations that rippled through the air or anything it touched.
It turned around, creating extraordinary undulations despite being a Level One Immortal Emperor Stage Beast.
Davis arrived before the majestic beast. He couldn’t help but be full of awe as he saw its magical body. Its King-Tier aura seemed to be flickering, appearing like it was unstable. Even amongst magical beasts, this was the most fantastical creature he had ever seen. Still, he kept his eyes focused, wondering if Katherine was still there.
He may have successfully allowed her to evolve her bloodline’s rank, but in the end, if Katherine wasn’t there in body and soul, it would have been useless. He may have a lot to work on.
However, the lion’s King-Tier aura became stable soon, the fiery light in its eyes dimming before revealing a pair of innocent eyes.
“Uhm… have I changed?”
Katherine’s voice echoed out melodiously.
She looked around at herself, raising her paws and rolling around to look at her body and tail. Once she was done, her massive body stood, her eyes tearing up as though she was going to cry.
“W-What is this…? Why is lava flowing all over me? How will I be able to hug Eterna and Celestia to sleep?”
“…”
Davis didn’t know what to say. Katherine lacked ambition too much and had little pride in her magical beast body. Of course, she was prideful of her tail, but then everything changed. The rattling tail was now a boulder-like tail. She wasn’t sure if it was even really a tail anymore.
It was really strange to look at but seemed extremely strong.
He saw Katherine dumb down her size to their level and lick her paws, tasting her own new flesh.
Davis turned to look at Ellia, who approached him from behind.
“You said Katherine has turned into a Quaking Earthflame Lion?”
“Yes.” Ellia answered, appearing to be also intrigued as she kept gazing at Katherine, “The Quaking Earthflame Lion had gone extinct three billion years ago. None of them exist any more in this galaxy, as far as I know. Perhaps they would be present in the other galaxies, but I am not sure as news from other galaxies rarely ever make it to ours, and even if it did, it would be only for occupational research or some big news.”

“I see…” Davis nodded.
“Incredible…”
Isabella said once again. She walked closer to Katherine and touched her body. The magma was scorching hot, but Isabella wasn’t harmed; she had a layer of martial energy surrounding her palm. She dragged her hand across Katherine’s small frame, feeling it soft despite the hardened scale armor.
She smiled, knowing that if Katherine were able to control her flames and make them die down, then it shouldn’t pose a threat to the children.
She didn’t blame Katherine. Magical beasts were hazardous existences, after all. One could die just by being in the presence of a venom-breathing magical beast.
Nonetheless, the thing she was most impressed with was how her tail worked.
Before, she had vaguely thought how rattling could create a type of resonance that could be near the magnitude of rumbling, but this was just the exact opposite. These strange boulders crashing against each other and creating resonance were too strong.
It was as though this resonance contained too much yang force.
On the other hand, she had reached Rumbling Laws through yin. She felt like if she could learn insights from this tail, she might be able to increase the attack strength of her normal attacks and even extend the range and power of Rumbling Laws.
Davis also appeared before Katherine and began checking her body out.
There was nothing strange like a wound. Her body had completely transformed and appeared to have become completely stable. There were no strange points to notice. His senses dwelled inside her, and he saw that she was healthy.
“How do you feel, Katherine?”
He walked in a circle around her before standing in front of her and touching her forehead, checking the composition of the core.
“I feel great, brimming with power, but your children-”
“Eterna and Celestia won’t mind.” Davis chuckled, “All you have to do is control your powers and lower the intensity of the flames until it can no longer harm them. That would require you to be diligent, though.”
“…”
Katherine looked like she was going to cry again. All she wanted to do was laze around and play. It looked like that was finally going to come to an end.
Davis did a few more checks while everyone looked at her with curiosity and shock.
On one side, they could sense how powerful Katherine was, and on the other, they looked at Davis, wondering how he had initiated her evolution without using a resource of any sort. How far had his comprehension of Life Laws reached for him to be able to do this?
It must be known that neither Everlight nor Saintess Lunaria was capable of this.
Their shock swelled into their souls, leaving them incapable of asking how he did it as they feared it might also have to do with the trump card he owned or the new treasure that was plundered from Rokushi Mirai. By this time, they have also heard of her.
Right now, Schleya was keeping an eye on Rokushi Mirai, so they didn’t worry.
“Yes! This technique is a success!”
Davis raised his hands and cheered. Seeing him be excited, Katherine also roared into the skies and flicked her tail up.
*Dun!~* *Dun!~* *Dun!~*
The boulders crashed against each other and, in the end, sent a powerful shockwave that practically started collapsing space.
“Oh no! Stella is going to get angry.”
Katherine jumped and landed, hiding her head under her paws.
“Hahaha~”
Everyone couldn’t help but laugh at seeing her antics. They wouldn’t believe it if someone said she was a majestic Quaking Earthflame Lion. Fortunately, Stella was powerful. Her space started repairing itself soon. But with Katherine’s attack, they figured that her prowess was six levels higher, which was quite ridiculous for an Immortal Emperor Magical Beast, even if it was a King-Tier Magical Beast.
If she was an Emperor-Tier Magical Beast, those numbers could even reach eight or nine levels higher. After all, an Emperor-Tier’s runes were intrinsically different from a normal beast. Isabella figured that an Emperor-Tier Quaking Earthflame Lion might even be capable of using Rumbling Laws. The distance to reaching it was already close with Katherine’s King-Tier Bloodline, although it was just the yang side of Rumbling Laws.
Still, that was fascinating on its own to Isabella and the others.
