Divine Emperor of Death - Chapter 3923: Evolution Laws?
“What did you name this technique?” Ellia grabbed Davis’s arms and pushed her bosoms against him.
She was intrigued by the technique he used and wanted to know more as she was also looking to increase her comprehension of Life Laws, but she also tried to seduce him, sparing zero effort to hide that she was horny.
Davis felt his neurons activate in her hold, especially with her floral scent. She smelled so good, his heart that steeled for the sake of research beginning to show signs of folding.
He couldn’t fold, at least, not yet. He still wasn’t done yet and had to perfect the technique while the insights from this session were still fresh in his mind, not to mention increase Katherine’s bloodline purity so she doesn’t fall out of nobility even though her bloodline purity was fairly high.
Everlight’s azure orbs were practically miraculous. Her life orbs were still much more valuable than the technique he used on Shimei.
“I don’t know. You name it.”
Davis shrugged off her embrace and held her shoulders, appearing solemn, “If you can come up with a name that satisfies me, I’ll hold you.”
“…” Ellia was confused, but hearing his words, her lips automatically curled as her eyes glazed, “Yes, my prince~”
The both of them smirked at each other. He leaned in to steal a kiss, lightly feeling her up as he brought his hands from her shoulder to her cheeks and slipped in his tongue with genuine passion.
Ellia felt electrified. When he let her lips go after five whole seconds, she heaved hot breaths, looking away as she adjusted her hair. She couldn’t help but wonder if she should come up with a stupid name in order to get punished. Her playful nature was demanding that she do so after experiencing this hot and passionate kiss in front of everyone. It felt embarrassing but also fulfilling to be acknowledged.
“What do you think, Ellia?” Davis raised his brows, once again holding her arms, “Is the Quaking Earthflame Lion as strong as the descendants of the Twelve Paragon Magical Beasts?”
“It could be.”
Ellia blushed as she thought he was asking about the kiss. She restored her demure appearance and moved her lips, “The twelve descendants of the Twelve Paragon Magical Beasts that have a bloodline limit up to the Immortal Emperor Stage, the Saint Magical Beasts are certainly strong and have a wide edge over other magical beasts of the same rank.”
“However, this gap becomes unstable as the beasts climb in rank. Some descendants of the Twelve Paragon Magical Beasts could be weak, and some are stronger. In the same way, the Quaking Earthflame Lion is one of the strongest lions in the rank of Great Saint Magical Beasts. They boast an incredible offensive prowess with their ridiculous tails. Even an Azure Dragon’s scale would not go unscathed if hit by it.”
“I see…” Davis nodded, appearing intrigued.
“But yes, generally, the descendants of the Twelve Paragon Magical Beasts, at least the main bloodline like the Azure Dragon and Seven-Colored Phoenix leading up to the Paragon Magical Beasts, are really stronger than the other subspecies within or other species. They represent the apex of any rank in this universe.”
“Understood.”
Once he let go of Ellia, Davis turned to look at Katherine, “Turn into a human. We’ll also check if there’s anything odd in your human form.”
Katherine nodded. A crimson-gold light flashed from her body, the air around her shimmering, waves of heat warping the landscape. A low hum vibrated through as her eyes gleamed with a blinding light.
Eventually, the light receded, replaced with a tall and graceful woman. Her fiery orange hair cascaded down in waves, glimmering with the same molten glow that had once coursed through her veins. Her eyes, still a deep, piercing amber, reflected both the intensity of her flames and her playful nature. Her skin was fair and radiant, glossy as though it was kissed by the sun.
Clad in crimson robes, she looked like quite the beauty, her appearance changing quite a bit as her features became more refined.
Everyone could tell that she had become more beautiful, but some turned away their heads for some reason. It was because they saw Katherine raise her hands and grope her bosoms, except there was nothing to grope like before.
No growth. Absolutely none. Petite beyond compare. Such words resounded in their minds.
“Why am I cursed…?”
Katherine muttered ever so lightly, her eyes tearing up. This time, she really shed tears for real.
“Uhmm… it’ll grow. I promise…”
Davis awkwardly uttered before he wiped her tears and consoled her. There were still a few more evolutions left to reach if he wasn’t wrong. If she wasn’t victorious in them, then Davis was of the mind of telling her to give up or get some pills of dubious nature to grow them if she wanted big ones no matter what.
Katherine stopped crying after Davis’s whispers. She glared at him, “Master hates small breasts, no?”
“Who said that? I’m a connoisseur of peaks. I like small ones too.”
“What’s a connoisseur?”
“That’s not important.” Davis cut her short as he sensed the glares from behind and brought her back to the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace.
There, he used the technique he used on Shimei to increase Katherine’s bloodline purity.
Katherine experienced little to no pain during the treatment. It was reasonable, considering she was already a King-Tier Beast and didn’t need to refine the heart in order to produce a large amount of King-Tier Blood. Her body, heart, bones, and muscles had already adapted to the King-Tier Blood, so there was little tempering involved.
“Phew, all done.”
Davis was exhausted at this point.
He wanted to go to sleep since he had exhausted a lot of focus operating on the magical beast’s core using his life and karmic energy that fused. Even maintaining this fusion was difficult, much less exploring the core and changing its composition.
“Woah…”
Katherine flew out of bed and lightly uttered, feeling the incredible changes in her body. She was missing her old self, but now, she was beginning to feel way more confident. She clenched her fists, her entire arm radiating a strange boned whip-like aura as she felt like she earned the right to take part in battles from now on.
On the other hand, Davis plopped on the bed, his eyes barely trying to flutter open.
He remembered that he had to go search for Flamerose and Frostrose, who disappeared since one went to search for the other. He wished they were safe. The other was that he needed to go save the rabbit, but all three of them were near the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm.
Only going by himself might expose him to risks, so he was waiting for Stella’s mini-realm to be complete. Then, he could teleport to the Void Dust Sanctuary in the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm’s Great Desolate Plains and make his way to the rabbit far more easily than traveling by himself and risking exposing himself when it was possible the Celestial Transcendent could have returned and be out there searching for him.
Therefore, he felt that it was better to wait while he could settle most matters that needed his attention here.
“It is fine. Please sleep and take rest, master~”
Suddenly, he got a lap pillow out of nowhere. Davis felt himself sink into sleep and woke up ten minutes later. He looked embarrassedly at Katherine, thinking he had basically turned her into his nanny when she was his children’s nanny before thanking her for protecting him and telling her to be off.
She giggled and hugged him before leaving the chamber.
Davis wondered what that was. He shared a soul connection with her through the beast-taming pact, so he knew she wasn’t in love or anything but highly cared about his opinion and adored him. However, she was bold enough to kiss him during sleep. That was what woke him up, or he would’ve slept more. He pretended not to know, though, since he guessed it was only a playful encounter.
She could be in heat, but he imagined that would result in more than a kiss.
Shaking his head, he sat cross-legged and began to meditate and comprehend the insights he learned today. He truly felt thankful for Katherine’s sacrifice. She didn’t appear to be bothered much about it, but not many people could say, ‘Subject me to intense pain’ and manage to endure the pain.
Katherine definitely deserved more resources from him, in his opinion, making him think he should put a word on the Treasury Department to take care of her growth more. She would also be a great guardian for his children.
An hour later, he went out of the palace, not looking for Ellia but going to look for Stella, wondering how soon she could complete the mini-realm. Otherwise, he would have to leave early in order to ensure Flamerose, Frostrose, and that rabbit’s safety. If possible, he also wanted to save his friend’s families, but that was too dangerous.
They were better off staying unrelated to him or his brothers, who have been branded traitors by their clans.
