Divine Enchantress: Night Emperor’s Beloved Consort - Chapter 73
Chirps Chirps
Birds flew happily in the sky, wind faintly blew and the sun was up in the sky.
Both Jiang Ying Yue and Liu Weimin woke up a bit later in the morning due to what happened last night. They were both quite tired after having such a long day.
Jiang Ying Yue had already showered in her space and when she came out of her tent, she saw Liu Weimin walking from the direction of the river towards her.
“Morning!” He greeted in a joyful mood.
“Morning. Why so happy?” Jiang Ying Yue asked.
“I caught some fishes for our breakfast and it was super easy. I even got some fruits for you.” He waved and some fishes and fruits appeared on the ground. Liu Weimin had already cleaned them and they were placed neatly in a big wooden bowl.
Jiang Ying Yue saw the fishes and smiled. “Thank you for the fishes and fruits Weimin. You really shouldn’t have troubled yourself like this.”
“It’s no big deal. I was washing my face by the river anyway. Let’s cook and eat it.”
They both sat down and Jiang Ying Yue was in charge of seasoning and cooking the fishes. Well it wasn’t nice that Li Weimin caught the fish and he cooked it as well was it?
Plus, Liu Weimin totally enjoyed Jiang Ying Yue’s cooking these days that he even wondered from where did she learnt how to cook. It didn’t matter though; as long as he could taste her food, he was content enough.
After breakfast, they both packed their things to continue their journey. It wouldn’t be good if they just stayed at one place and chase after the magical beasts there.
They decided to go deeper into the forest because that was where higher level magical beasts lurked around.
They were about to set forth their journey when a voice shouted from behind them.
“Wait! Wait! Miss Jiang! Young Master Liu wait for me!”
They turned around only to see a girl in red running towards them in a hurry.
Who else could it be if it wasn’t Han Jinghua?
Behind her was Han Jianyu.
Arriving in front them, Han Jinghua was huffing and puffing. She barely able to catch her breath when she said, “I was really scared that I couldn’t make it on time. Luckily I did!”
Jiang Ying Yue looked at the beautiful girl in front of her whose cheeks were red due to her running. She frowned slightly, “Why did you want to catch after us?”
Liu Weimin too wanted to know why.
Han Jinghua smiled sheepishly. “Hehe actually, we want to follow you. We decided this last night. This forest is dangerous and it’s better if we travel in a group. Don’t you think so?”
Jiang Ying Yue did not expect that the siblings wanted to follow her team. It wasn’t that she didn’t want, but being with her would be really dangerous.
Therefore, she decided to be honest to Han Jinghua. “Miss Jinghua, it wasn’t that I don’t want you to follow our team but being with me will be very dangerous. Me and Weimin are going deeper into the forest to train and I can’t ensure you and your brother’s safety if you follow us.”
Liu Weimin nodded at the side. They were going to train all out to be stronger and he wasn’t sure if the siblings could be a help or a baggage to them. Plus, he didn’t even trust them.
Han Jinghua merely continued smiling and pleaded in a cute tone. “Miss Jiang, we have decided to follow you anywhere even if it’s dangerous. We too want to be stronger and I promise you that we won’t be a burden in this team. Please~~”
Jiang Ying Yue felt weak. This was her goddess ah. With that cute tone and that puppy eyes, she couldn’t resist. But she still felt conflicted.
Finally, Han Jianyu who had been quiet at the side decided to step up and help his sister. “Miss Jiang, Young Master Liu, we decided this after a careful thinking. Don’t worry, even if we die, we won’t blame you for it. Just train and consider us your additional teammates. If we ever die or get injured, it’s only because we are too weak and it’s our bad luck. We won’t blame you for it.”
Jiang Ying Yue knew that they were sincere but she didn’t want them to be in danger. But since it was their wish, she would agree for now and see how things go later on.
“Fine. But remember to stay alert at all times and don’t say that I didn’t remind you of how dangerous it is to be with us.”
Liu Weimin warned them too, “In case of danger, run and safe yourselves. Don’t worry about us and don’t be a burden.” He stressed out the last word so that they could get his meaning.
Liu Weimin wasn’t a nice person to outsiders and he was only nice to Jiang Ying Yue. With others, he was quite rude and couldn’t bothered of what they think of him.
Han Jianyu frowned slightly but he didn’t say anything. He had been feeling Liu Weimin’s displeasure ever since Han Jinghua told Jiang Ying Yue that she wanted to follow them. But he also knew that their request was too abrupt and Liu Weimin must’ve been on guard against them.
And he knew that Liu Weimin was afraid that they would be a burden because of yesterday’s matter. Who would trust someone who couldn’t even take care of his own little sister right?
“Thank you!” Han Jinghua thanked Jiang Ying Yue while smiling widely.
The group soon departed.
While walking, Han Jianyu looked at the girl in ivory robe in front of him. He was wondering on the reason she wore a veil but he knew best not to ask.
Yesterday, Han Jinghua had told him everything that happened. From her being kidnapped, to Jiang Ying Yue and Liu Weimin saving her, how Jiang Ying Yue tortured the kidnappers and to Jiang Ying Yue letting Han Jinghua taking revenge herself. Oh she even told Han Jianyu about Jiang Ying Yue sprinkling some weird powder and the corpses melted.
He couldn’t believe that such a young girl with a calm and wise aura like her would change to a little devil that fast. But he was satisfied. If it wasn’t for her, his little sister would’ve been r**ed and her taking revenge herself made him happy.
Jiang Ying Yue and Liu Weimin was their benefactor and they would help them as much as they could to repay their favor back. Thus, they reached to a conclusion to follow after Jiang Ying Yue’s team to train together.
The team traveled on a slower pace because of Han Jinghua. Her qinggong was bad and that made her feel embarrassed. In the middle of walking, she suddenly said, “I will train harder to be stronger and train my qinggong too so that I wouldn’t slow you guys down next time.”
Han Jianyu was surprised! His little sister wanted to improve her qinggong?!
If his family heard of this, they would be ecstatic.
Who didn’t know that his sister was someone who disliked learning qinggong and training martial arts the most?
But now she wanted to train on her own accord? This was truly magnificent.
Seemed like following Jiang Ying Yue’s team was a good decision indeed.
