Divine Enchantress: Night Emperor’s Beloved Consort - Chapter 75
A week passed by and everyday, Jiang Ying Yue and her team would train with different level magical beasts everyday.
They were at the border of inner and outer perimeter of Mount Trux and had been camping here since.
By now, Jiang Ying Yue could fight a few Level 8 magical beasts at the same time. It seemed like her training was worth it. Liu Weimin on the other hand could fight a single Level 8 magical beast without a problem.
But the same could not be said for the siblings. Han Jianyu could at least fight against a Level 6 magical beast alone but Han Jinghua could only fight a Level 4 magical beast.
They all would wake up early in the morning to hunt for magical beasts and it would continue till night. They were all exhausted but Jiang Ying Yue felt happy. She felt alive.
Today, they had just completed their hunt and was about to have dinner when Jiang Ying Yue felt the ground tremor.
It was very faint and only she noticed it. She put her guard just in case anything untoward happens.
She bit her chicken leg and felt the ground tremor again. But this time, it was stronger and all of them felt it.
Liu Weimin looked at the dark forest in front of them and asked, “What is going on? Why did the ground shake?”
Jiang Ying Yue’s face darkened instantly.
“Everyone, prepare yourself and be aware of your surroundings. I am afraid that this situation isn’t good.”
Everyone nodded and did not question her any further. Throughout the time they were with her, they realized that although Jiang Ying Yue was the youngest in the group, she was the strongest and had the most knowledge so they naturally listened to her without qualm.
They all stopped eating and stood on guard immediately.
*Doom doom*
The ground started shaking fiercer than before and howls could be heard one after another.
What the-?
Wolves?
And they traveled in a pack so this was bad!
Everyone knew the gravity of the situation and they were prepared for battle. They knew that in this forest, there was a type of wolf that was bigger than a normal wolf on the outside and it was a Level 7 magical beast. But what was dangerous was that they traveled in a group making it hard to fight them.
Jiang Ying Yue could faintly see the silhouette of the said ‘wolves’ but why did it looked.. different?
Aauuuuu! The leader of the wolf pack howled followed by the others.
The wolves ran and when Jiang Ying Yue and the group could see them perfectly, they cursed.
Fuck! This wasn’t a pack of Level 7 wolf alright?!
This was a freaking pack of peak of Spirit Master level magical wolves!
It was different than a Level 7 wolf by so many levels.
It was bigger size, a lot stronger, could use their elemental power, smarter and it looked different too. This type had 2 horns of it’s head, red eyes and longer fangs than Level 7 wolf. The fuck?
What was this luck? This thing shouldn’t even be here!
They wanted to run but it was too late. And thus, they could only try to fight the wolves.
The pack of wolves attacked first under the order of their leader and Jiang Ying Yue unleashed all of her powers. She did not dare to slack of in the slightest! It could cost them their lives!
Auuuu!
Boom!
Bang!
The group tried their best to fight against the wolves.
There were 6 wolves and there only 4 of them. But the disparity between their power was too great.
Han Jianyu summoned a wall made of soil to stop the wolves from advancing while keeping his sister behind him. He was an earth elemental wielder and his sister was water. He knew that he needed to protect his sister at all costs.
But Han Jinghua was done being protected thus, instead of staying behind him, she stood by his side instead surprising him greatly.
“Hue’er stay back! My wall can’t hold for long”
“No! Let me fight alongside you. We are siblings after all. I care about you as much as you care about me.”
Bang!
The wall crumbled and two wolves charged in.
Handling one was a hard enough and now they had two charging straight at them!
Water and earth attribute collided against the wolves with fire attribute that was consistently being shot out of their horns.
On the other side, Liu Weimin’s situation wasn’t great either. Two wolves came straight at him, separating him from Jiang Ying Yue.
Yes, he had been improving greatly for the past one week but against peak Spirit Master magical beast, he was nothing.
Not to mention the peak level, even if the wolves were at lower Spirit Master, he still couldn’t fight them. He was only at Qi Refiner Level 6 ah! There was a 6 level difference between them and each level’s difference was as huge as haven and earth.
Nevertheless, he tried to fight with all of his might.
It didn’t take long before he was beaten and injured.
Jiang Ying Yue was fighting against the other two wolves alone while the leader of the wolves just looked at her fighting his teammates from the back.
She used both fire and water attributed this time. One hand was shooting fire and one was shooting water.
She even ran towards the wolves to punch it with her Spiritual Qi but that didn’t injure the wolves.
Sparks of Spiritual Qi could be seen everywhere in the dark and quiet forest.
The siblings fell and Jiang Ying Yue saw them including Liu Weimin were bleeding badly. She too was bleeding heavily.
The situation was grave.
They need to run.
Thus, she shouted “Everyone! Run! Just run and I’ll catch up soon.
The group nodded and they immediately ran. They trusted her and knew they would be burden if they stayed behind.
They dragged their injured bodies and started running with all their might. Liu Weimin knew that Han Jinghua was a slow runner thus he picked her up and put her on his back before started sprinting using his qinggong with Han Jianyu followed suit.
Jiang Ying Yue looked at them leaving and was relieved.
The wolves wanted to chase after their running preys but were stopped by Jiang Ying Yue’s fire.
She made a wall of fire in front of her; making it a divider between her and the wolves. She knew that she was too weak to fight them but she was only doing this to stall more time for her friends.
She then took out a powder and sprinkled it in the air. At the same, she summoned wind to blow to powder around the camp.
It was a type of poison that would slow down the opponent’s movement but she knew that it wouldn’t work for long on the wolves. But that was more than enough for now.
The wolves sniffed the powder and it entered their system. The wolves howled when they felt the effect of the powder. The leader was furious.
Jiang Ying Yue took this opportunity to run!
