Don’t Fall In Love With Me Mr. Ceo - Chapter 64
Stephanie went inside a high-end store without any hesitation. She was dragging Mia who looked like she wanted to back out as she finds the store intimidating. Mia was familiar with this mall, she would go here once and a while to buy some jeans and shirts from time to time. However, she has never, not even once entered this store.
Why?
Because the prices were astronomically expensive.
She did not have that kind of money to spend on a single item. Just looking from the window display, the dress that the mannequin was wearing is equivalent to her one month salary when she was working in William’s company.
Of course she would feel hesitant to enter such an expensive and luxurious store. Also, she thought those beautiful clothes will not fit someone like her, someone plain and simple with no distinguishing feature. The people who know her would probably not be able to find her if she was stuck in a sea of people. She was that normal, but she has already accepted this fact since she was young.
She thought she was a princess when she was younger. She would wear dresses with laces, ribbons and bows, just like the ones in her stories, but she realized that not everyone could be a princess. Not everyone was beautiful enough to be considered special. Not everyone could find their prince charming and live happily ever after in a large castle while everyone appreciated and gave their blessings. Dreams and stories are different from reality.
Stephanie felt the person she was pulling was not budging an inch so she looked at her friend. She saw the apprehensive look on Mia’s face so she asked, “What’s wrong?”
“I don’t think those kinds of clothes will suit someone like me,” Mia said in a self-deprecating tone.
Stephanie felt sad.
She was sad at the thought that her friend felt that she was not up to par with clothes. Stephanie would never have thought that Mia felt her self-worth was so low that she could not compare with clothes.
“Don’t you believe in me? I’m your fairy godmother right? All your wishes will come true before the date ends. Trust me” Stephanie gave a heartwarming smile to Mia as she pounded her chest to look the part of a reliable person.
Her sincerity and kindness had touched Mia. She had some bad experiences with people, so she felt that not everyone could be depended on or trusted. However, she had only felt sincerity in Stephanie’s actions since they became friends. She looked into Stephanie’s eyes and gave her approval. She would trust Stephanie and let her do what she thinks is best for her date.
Stephanie was glad to see Mia’s nod of approval. She clapped both her hands and giggled, “Excellent! You won’t be disappointed or rather, William will not be disappointed. We’ll show him!”
Mia’s eyes went wide open when she heard Stephanie’s declaration. She did not know if she should laugh or cry thinking about these two people who look like otherworldly beings. Just her wearing a simple outfit made the people around her worship her like an angel who descended from heaven, how could mere mortal such as herself compare to them.
She does not expect much like a total make-over that can make her at the same level as William, but right now she felt happy as her friend cheered her up. She does not know how Stephanie will surprise William and how she can change her with one night with just some clothes and make-up.
In the end, she thought that she’ll enjoy the experience and just let all her worries go. She ignored the incessant negative emotions that she bottled up in her heart and gave in the flow.
It had been a long time since she felt so free without thinking of her actions or anything else in particular.
Stephanie led her into the store, the lady inside immediately went to Stephanie and assisted her, it looked like Stephanie was a regular customer. Stephanie made Mia wear almost all the clothes in the store while making her do a fashion show.
Mia did not notice that Stephanie was recording her every action as she twirled, sashayed and enjoyed her fashion show to her heart’s content. The people in the store went out of their way to make their stay comfortable. They treated them like VIP’s and never did once they say no to Stephanie’s request. Whatever she wanted, she got without question. They treated them as queens and adored them as such.
Mia thought that this kind of treatment was only possible in movies. Never would have she imagined that one day she’d experience it herself in her life.
