Don’t Fall In Love With Me Mr. Ceo - Chapter 65
Once Mia was done with her impromptu fashion show, Stephanie stood up and went to the cashier to pay for the clothes.
“Wait, Stephanie, that’s too much. I only need one dress.” Mia tried to stop Stephanie from buying the entire bulk. She bought everything that looked good on Mia, Stephanie decided to buy them, all of them and that amount was not something Mia could afford even with all her savings put together.
“Please wait a minute.” Since she could not stop Stephanie, she asked the cashier to stop punching the items.
Stephanie asked while looking at Mia with a perplexed face. “What’s wrong?”
“You’re what’s wrong!” Mia wanted to say this as she was panicking from the current situation but withheld her words.
Stephanie looked at Mia, it seems she has realized something as she said, “Don’t worry about it. Just punch in all the items and I’ll take care of everything.” Stephanie pulled out a card from her purse without a second’s notice and gave it to the cashier.
The lady swiped the card and everything was paid for without a hitch, “Thank you for your purchase, Ms. White.” The lady gave back the card with her most businesslike smile. It seems that Mia’s suspicion about Stephanie being a regular customer in the store was true.
“You didn’t have to pay for everything. We could have gotten just one item and left,” Mia said in a soft voice will grabbing Stephanie’s hand and whispering that to her ear, afraid that the sales lady would hear her words.
“I said don’t worry about it. Look!” She produced the card she used and proudly held it on her hands to show off to Mia. Mia did not know what she was supposed to find, but she became stiff when she read the name.
With bold and fancy letters Williams name was emblazoned on the gold color card.
“That’s even worse!” Mia could not stop herself from saying it out loud.
“Return it! Return everything!” Mia was panicking as she waved her hands animatedly then pushing and pulling Stephanie’s body as if trying to make her come back to her senses.
“The deal is done, my dear. There is nothing we can do.” Stephanie said while showing her two hands up and shaking her head as if everything was too late to be changed.
The other staffs in the shop were laughing at the comic skit the two were presenting in the store. They find it amusing how Stephanie was teasing the girl that she brought in the shop. This was the first time they saw her act that way towards another person aside from her brother.
She was a regular at the shop but would never interact with other people like she is doing now. They thought she was such a perfect lady that no one can approach due to her melancholy and calm look. They never would have thought that she had a childish behavior too.
Looking at the person beside her, they had mistaken her as an assistant to carry the bags once she was done with the shopping. It was more reasonable to think of the plain girl that way, but once Stephanie let the girl wear almost all the clothes in the shop, they thought differently and once they saw how they interacted, they felt that they were best friends by the way they could easily tease and make fun of one another.
Stephanie stops her acting and grabbed Mia by the hand, before stepping out of the shop she said to the staff, “We’ll come back later to pick them up.” She pointed at the bags and went on their way.
The staffs were all looking at them kindly as they put all the bags in a cart, ready to be taken at any moment by the two.
“Where are we going?” Mia asked as she thought they were done for today.
“We’re still missing a lot more. We have only just begun. Let’s go!” Stephanie said while dragging Mia towards a shoe store.
“Let’s just pick one item this time and go. Okay?” Mia said with a pleading tone.
Stephanie faced Mia and looked at her expression. “I guess I have to concede this one.”
Mia’s face brightened up once she heard this as she thought she was finally able to get through to Stephanie’s head.
“Thank you,” Mia said while catching up to Stephanie’s pace.
