Don’t Fall In Love With Me Mr. Ceo - Chapter 69

Hana deftly used her hands as she continued to cut and trim Mia’s hair. Her movements were precise with each cut, the hair gradually transformed to the outcome of her desire.
Mia could not see Hana’s movement as her hair was spread all over her face. All she could hear is the fast movement of the scissors each time it cuts her hair. Sometimes she could see some of Hana’s movement when she moves and flips the hair to the other side, but she could not imagine what the outcome would be. Adding to the fact that her glasses were taken off, all she could see were some blurred shadows passing through her face.
Stephanie was nowhere to be found. God knows where the little mischief went as she hopped along the other direction as Mia sat down on the hairdresser’s chair. The last thing she mentioned was, “Hana will take care of you. I’ll be back.”
Mia was lost in her own thoughts when a voice was heard from behind her ears. “Honey, have you tried wearing contacts? You have such beautiful eyes but you’re glasses are covering them.” Hana was making small talk while her hands kept moving in succession.
“Uhm. I’m not comfortable with putting something in my eyes.” Mia shyly said to Hana, she remembered the times when foreign objects entered her eyes like specks of dust or sand which irritate and hurts her eyes. She could not imagine putting her own fingers near her cornea, more so putting a foreign object into it.
“That’s too bad. Well, there are glasses that will better fit the shape of your face. I suggest you get something like that instead.” Hana kindly reminded Mia of another alternative. Though Hana wanted to help Mia to get the best result, she still took the other person’s feelings into consideration. There are times when people who want to change themselves become reluctant when there are too many changes at one time.
Deep down inside Mia was glad that Hana did not force her. She sighed in relief, she believes she was in good hands.
A couple more minutes and Hana was finished with cutting her hair. It was time to blow dry Mia’s hair and see the results of her masterpiece. Hana usually lets her assistant handle this task but decided against it. She took the blower and did it herself. Using a brush in accordance with the blowing wind she got the desired look she was looking for. She added some bangs and body to Mia’s black and shiny hair. Overall, the result was satisfactory. The change in her hairstyle was not big but the result made her face become more radiant compared to her old hairstyle.
Hana flipped the hair from left to right while bushing it. She was trying to see if the length and style is perfect. Once she was done, she gave Mia her glasses and let her have a look at the finished product.
Mia opened her eyes wide once she saw herself. Though she did not have any makeup on. She was surprised by the change her face had. It was not that different from before but the style complimented the shape of her face, she looked brighter. Her forehead which most people called large was accentuated with some bangs, her face looked more attractive as the length of the bangs was just enough to not be obtrusive to her eyes.
Hana was still touching and fixing the ends of Mia’s hair as she said, “See how beautiful you are. Now let’s head to where Stephanie is. She told me to teach you some simple makeup tricks to make your face more stunning than it already is.”
Hana removed the cloth covering Mia’s body and brushed Mia’s clothes that might have some hair on it. Mia stood up still dazed and still looking at her reflection in the mirror. She knew she was looking at herself but it felt like she wasn’t.
“Is that really me?” she asked herself as she followed along Hana’s lead.
They reached another part of the wellness center where they found Stephanie at a table with a large mirror and a stool. A lot of beauty products were on the table as she arranged them one by one. Pulling one more product from the bag she was carrying.
“You bought too much Steph. We can’t possibly use all of those.” Hana said while looking at the foolish girl arranging the beauty products on the table.
Stephanie tilted her head to the side cutely while saying, “We can just teach her the basics then move to the other things some other time.”
Hana and Stephanie surrounded Mia with products in hands. Mia sat on the stool and was unable to relax as Hana and Stephanie explained some of the basic things. The uses of toner, moisturizer, serum, sunscreen, and primer before putting on makeup. Stephanie then explained the steps that she must follow when putting on foundation, concealer, setting powder, highlighter, contour, eyeshadow, blush, mascara, eyeliner, and lipstick. She felt dizzy with all the information they were saying. All she could do was listen, and try to remember as much as she could for her date tomorrow.
If she knew it would be this hard, she would not have promised William to go on a date on her day off. She would have prepared and asked Stephanie ahead of time so she had more time to prepare herself.
