Don’t Fall In Love With Me Mr. Ceo - Chapter 82
They arrived in front of Mia’s house. It was already late at night as the fireworks display ended late.
The way back was more than an hour which was spent in silence.
William did not think much about it, he thought Mia was tired from the long day.
They finally arrived in front of Mia’s home. He opened Mia’s door and brought her to their front door.
William was about to say goodbye when Mia said something.
“Thank you for today. I had fun.” She said while looking at William’s face full of intent.
William was confused with Mia’s facial reaction but he was still able to reply appropriately. “You’re welcome. I had fun too”
William’s face started to smile when he heard Mia’s words but that was not all. He was surprised as Mia approached his face and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
Mia hurriedly said, “goodnight.” As she went inside her house as fast as she could. She did not look behind her, rather she could not face William. She was too embarrassed herself, she did not want to look into William’s face. She just ran for her life and hid behind closed doors waiting for William to leave. She was listening intently in William’s footsteps.
William stood in front of the door in a daze. He reflexively touched his cheek with his hand. It was so sudden but he was still able to feel Mia’s soft lips as they touched his cheek. His smile reached new heights after realizing it was not a dream, he laughed to himself and walked with vigor. Every step he took looked more of gait full of pride and happiness.
If Stephanie was there, she would have given her brother a smack on his forehead for looking so silly.
William walked to his car full of happiness. He was in such a good mood that he was humming a tune which was undecipherable. Compared to his stunning good looks, if people can hear his humming while adding singing a couple of lines from a song, they might doubt their ears and take a second or third look to see if the sound was really coming from him. It was that bad, people might even think he was tone deaf.
He went home still full of joy, his face had a shine to it as if encompassing a heavenly creature with a holy on top of his head. He greeted the people in their house with a warm smile which made the servants in the house almost faint from blood loss as their noses bleed from the impact. That was how strong his charm was when he went back home.
At the end of the stairs, he was met with his sister’s squinting eyes and grinning smile.
William, on the other hand, was so full of happiness that he opened both his arms to her and shouted, “My loving sister.” He approached her and was about to hug his sister, but Stephanie sidestepped.
Sfx*thwack*
“Ouch. What was that for?” William was caressing his head which was smacked by a thick magazine.
He was looking at the rolled up magazine on Stephanie’s hand while looking full of agony as he gazed at her sister. He was wondering what he did wrong.
Stephanie took out something from her pocket then handed it to William.
“Huh,” William said as the thing his sister handed was familiar. It was his phone, the one he exchanged for his sisters. He thought his sister wanted to exchange phones as soon as he arrived, therefore, he hesitated before saying. “I haven’t transferred the pictures I took.” He said sheepishly.
Stephanie gave a sigh and said. “Fine take your phone then give me my phone once you’re done.”
She walked away like nothing happened as she went to her bedroom.
William was left standing there. “I haven’t told her my day, why does she look so irritated.” He was wondering this, he could not think of any reason so he let it be. He took his phone and his sister’s phone as he hurriedly went to his room to transfer the files.
Before he could take a couple of steps, he heard his sister’s voice once more, “Make a copy and don’t just transfer the original files. I want to see the pictures you took.” After which he heard the closing of her door before he could reply.
William decided to move to his room before his sister changed her mind once more and things difficult for him.
