Don’t Go Breaking My Heart - Volume 1 Chapter 10 Bigfoot
After the call ended, the old women left with satisfied smiles all over their faces. I was so freaking embarrassed and I’d wished the ground would crack open at that moment and swallowed me.
My goddess impression was all gone. My grandmothers had ruined my chances of getting loved. My perfect image had gone down the drain, making me feel n.a.k.e.d. How was I to face Justin from now on???!!!!!
Over at Justin’s room, he was sorting out all the information he got over the video call. He recalled Winnie’s face and a maniacal laugh filled his room. “My Winnie is the prettiest when she stutters,” he thought to himself.
So it all went like this…
*Ring**Ring*
CALLER ID: Winwinnie
“Why is she calling me?” He thought before connecting the call. Sadly, he didn’t see the gorgeous face in his mind on the screen. He was met with 3 pretty older women with wicked smiles on their faces. He blinked twice and 3 more faces appeared behind.
Being a military man, he knew how to look cool on the outside while screaming on the inside.
“Hi everyone. I’m Justin Bolton,” I said in my usual bedroom voice.
In his head: SOS! I see Winnie, Seraphina and Flora… and I see older versions of them *pulling his hair*
Janet: You are such a dashing young man.
Barbara: Winnie has such good eyes
Regina: His voice alone qualifies him.
While the 3 stooges rained praises on their future grandson-in-law, Flora and Summer took a back seat and faced their business. Winnie was in for the unexpected.
Justin: Thank you. You all look gorgeous also.
He replied with a smile. He could see why Claudia was always so cheery. She grew up surrounded by love.
Janet: What’s the size of your shoe?
Claudia: Why are you asking that Granny D?
Inquisitive Janet was bad news.
The amigos were cracking up in the background. Claudia and Justin felt the question was about off, but he still answered anyway.
Justin: US 11
Janet, Seraphina, Barbara, Regina, and Flora shrieked and swooned as they heard that. They all nodded satisfactorily while looking at one another.
Seraphina: He’s the real deal.
Flora: I agree.
Regina: ditto
Barbara: ditto ditto
Claudia: what does that even mean?
She looked like she was about to lose it any moment.
Janet: The measure of a man’s foot is directly proportional to his little one.
Janet coughed awkwardly after dropping the knowledge. She didn’t dare make eye contact with the man on the phone.
Flora: Translating for granny J, Justin’s a bigfoot, so he’s a big man down there.
Everyone in the room burst out laughing. Claudia grabbed her hair to cover her embarrassed face. Justin looked at the “man down there” and nodded in agreement.
When he looked back at his phone, he saw the frustrated Winnie and nothing could compare to how stunning she looked. She noticed him looking and grabbed the phone out of Barbara’s hands.
Winnie: I.. I’m sssso… I’m sorry about tonight.
Her eyes darted around, not staying on Mr. Bigfoot.
Justin: It’s okay. I enjoyed their company.
He couldn’t help chuckling as he remembered her embarrassed look.
Winnie: bye!
She hung up in a hurry, and he finally laughed out loud.
“It’s gonna be fun spending so much time with you,” he said to himself, still smiling.
