Don’t Go Breaking My Heart - Volume 1 Chapter 16 Rival? Iv
She hung her arms around Caleb’s neck in an intimate manner.
He laughed when he saw her do this.
“You’re going with the jealousy plan babe?”
Looking all embarrased, she tilted her head to the side, “I’ve got nothing else.”
Caleb kept on laughing at how clueless his friend was.
“You’re going about this the wrong way. You need to make sure he feels the same way as you do. If he doesn’t like you that much, this trick won’t work.”
He had had his fair share of Tom and Jerry tricks with Stephanie. He needed to pass on some knowledge to his new student. He unwrapped her arms and stood up.
“I drank a bit too much. Going to the bathroom. I’ll be back in a jiffy.”
She nodded in response as she pondered over what Caleb said. She knew Justin cared about her, but she wasn’t sure if he really liked her the same way she liked him. He seemed like the kind of guy that was nice to everyone.
On his way to the bathroom, Caleb glanced at Justin briefly. He had felt his death ray since he hugged Claudia when they met. Now, Claudia had confirmed his doubt. The runaway crush did look good. He just needed to find out why he ran away.
Justin caught his glance and excused himself also. He tailed Caleb all the way to the bathroom. They had a stare-down for a little over a minute before Caleb looked away.
“So intimidating,” he thought as he made his way to a stall. Claudia definitely had a lot of work to do on this guy. Justin waited by the door to see the man that had his hands all over his girl.
“Who are you to her?” He asked as Caleb walked out.
“The most important man in her life at the moment, after family of course,” he replied calmly.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you around here.” He was a bit skeptical about this ‘important man.’
“I was out of the country for a long time. Just came back to my girl.” Caleb smirked at Justin as if stimulating him.
“Your girl?” He scoffed. “I don’t think so,” he rolled his eyes.
Caleb laughed at how childish Justin was being. He couldn’t help but tease him a little more.
“Are you the rival that popped out when I was away?”
Justin paused for a bit when he heard that.
“Rival? You’re not worthy.”
He left made his way back to his friends when he said that. One more second and he’d have pounced on Caleb.
When he took his seat, he saw Claudia coming his way. She stumbled a bit.
“Damn! She’s drunk,” he mumbled as he lowered his head.
His light was blocked by her, and he had no choice but to lift his head. What she did next stunned him.
