Don’t Go Breaking My Heart - Volume 1 Chapter 43 Second
Stephanie’s gang-leader boyfriend was indeed in need of a kidney, but not for himself. He got a request from a customer and coincidentally, Caleb met the conditions after Stephanie saw the request. Her boyfriend was also an underground dealer of human organs.
Doctor? Medical checkups? As if! He would have been knocked out by the doctor in their team and operated on immediately. Dying or living was up to his fate. Already planning ahead, she was going to use a part of her share to compensate him and abandon him afterwards.
She was determined to squeeze out the last drop of advantage she could get from him without giving anything in return. It was his fault for being stupid.
Caleb missed a bullet without even knowing it. By the time he found out about everything, he was living happily with the love of his life. But these events take place in the future.
The jolly friends had lunch together, and Caleb felt a huge mountain had been lifted off of him. Everything looked beautiful, and he looked forward to living his life well from then on.
They spent a week out of state before heading back home. Their businesses were fruitful and development for Claudia’s salon was going to start first. Caleb volunteered as an exclusive master at a non-profit taekwondo studio. He was required to travel between the two states frequently.
As she sat in the car, Claudia retrieved the second letter. She smiled reading the first line.
“My dear Winter…
If you’re reading this, that just means that I’m not back yet after 2 weeks. The mission is most likely tough, and it’s delaying my return back to you… into your arms. You don’t need to worry much, your man is a fighter.
Are your plans going accordingly? Is my girl creating miracles? I bet she is because she’s a miracle herself, my miracle. I miss you babe. As I pen this second letter, I miss you even more.
Now, I’m going to tell you about the time when I knew that that someone had to be in my life no matter what. I was at the grocery store to get fresh vegetables for my mom. As I walked past the bakery towards the veggy stall, I heard that laugh again. It sounded as pleasant as the first time I heard it, just like fireworks.
That was when I heard that someone’s conversation with a companion. “So that’s what that someone is called,” I murmured to myself. I watched for a while longer until that someone made a move.
Right at that moment, I realized I was missing that laughter in my life. Just recalling that moment brings a smile on my face knowing that I successfully got that someone involved with me. That was my biggest blessing the past year.
You’ll love that someone too. I love you babe. I miss you too.
Love J.”
She only had one thought after she read the letter.
“Come back safe to me Justin.”
She put the letter away and focused on deciphering the identity of the person in Justin’s letters. This way, Justin achieved his purpose of distracting Claudia from worrying about him endlessly.
