Hearing that question, Klein faces the guy behind him again. “So you think that was my reason?” He questioned as he raised his eyebrows

He is not normally this rude to people but everyone had bad days before. This was one of Klein’s and he is not in the mood to be cordial with anyone right now

“Then you’re just a jerk showing how annoyed you are to someone that simply has to buy a lot of things?” The man retorted, still having that smile on his face

That smile very much reminded Klein of Calix’s smile whenever he wants to annoy him. Their smiles were similar with each other and the least thing that Klein needs right now is to be reminded by that guy

As such, Klein’s impression of this unknown guy plummeted down

“Maybe yes, maybe I just have a mannerism of tapping my foot in the ground while waiting” Klein rebuked with an eye roll

“Quite fierce, a personality I haven’t encountered for a while” the guy replied with a chuckle as he looks at Klein with amusement in his eyes

“Try going out more often, maybe you’ll encounter more” Klein said while rolling his eyes for the second time. His venomous tongue showing its might again but with another person

“Nah, they wouldn’t be as interesting as you”

“Should I feel proud of that?”

“Hahahaha, I’m kidding. I just never met anyone that wouldn’t treat me in the highest regard after they saw my handsome appearance”

Klein watched as the man winked while grinning at him. Although he agreed that this man also wouldn’t lose out in terms of appearance, he’s just really not in the mood

Not to mention, he is not someone that would want to flirt with someone that is not gay. He doesn’t know this person so better be safe than sorry

“Look in the mirror again, maybe you would obtain the reason why I don’t give you preferential treatment” Klein said in a bored tone, knowing where to hit someone hard

However, instead of getting angry, the man just laughed at him. “Pfft, kiddo, you’re really interesting!” He commented while holding his stomach, seemingly finding Klein as a source of amusement

“You think you are a fossilized old man already?” Klein asked

He doesn’t want to be rude but it was also not nice to be treated as if he was some source of entertainment

“Why don’t you guess my age then?” The man suggested as if he didn’t notice Klein’s current mood

“What would I gain from that?”

“I don’t know, maybe my name?”

“Find someone else. I’m not interested”

Klein just put his gaze back to the cashier, he was just in time as the people in front of him have finished paying for the things that they purchased and it is now his turn

He didn’t expect that he would waste that much time on some unknown man

“Thank me for preventing you from dying with your impatience” the man commented, trying to get all the credit

Although Klein wanted to refute, that man really did help lessen his impatience. He didn’t even notice that it was his turn already

However, he still thinks that that guy was annoying and he chose to keep his silence

Klein placed the can of beers in the counter and waited for the cashier to punch all of them

After seeing the price, Klein put his hand inside his shorts before his body stiffened

How could he be so stupid? He didn’t plan on going to any store and he don’t really need his wallet while inside the mansion

As such, Klein didn’t bring his wallet with him! He doesn’t have any money to pay for the beers

With a red face, Klein looked at the cashier and immediately apologizes. “I-I’m sorry, I-I actually forgot my wallet”

Klein can see and feel how much the cashier was judging him and he can feel shame swallowing his face

He can only hang his head low and he was about to walk away in shame when he heard the man behind him speak again

“Here, use my card” the man said to the cashier before handing his card and Klein immediately looked at him in surprise

“What? Want to cry in gratitude now, kiddo?” The man asked giving Klein an urge to groan in annoyance but he suppressed that

This man looks to be only around his early twenties, only a few years older than Klein yet he was completely treating him like a kid. How could this not make Klein annoyed?

“No need to pay for me. I’ll just go back and get my wallet first” Klein refused the help

How could he let a stranger pay for him? It doesn’t sit well with him

“Tsk, tsk, tsk, on guard that much?”

“Isn’t that normal since were practically strangers?” Klein refuted in a matter of fact tone

“Then, let’s introduce ourselves. I’m Kayden Vernielle, a handsome name for the handsome me, yours, kiddo?”

Klein raises his brows but still decided to not disclose his own name. However, he forgot that Kayden gave his card to the cashier and the purchase has already been made

Klein planned on not accepting the beers but the man simply threatened him that he would just throw it away if he don’t accept

As a person that is not fond of wastage, Klein could only groan and accepted the beers

Since he was kinda forced to do that, it also doesn’t feel right to at least not give his name and so, he answered.”Klein, Klein Arceus Ferrer”

“Nice name” Kayden complimented and Klein merely shrugged his shoulders

“Thanks for the beers” Kleon thanked while raising the bag containing his beers

“No problemo!” Kayden replied and Klein bowed his head a bit before walking outside the store

The encounter with Kayden made him realize that it was a bit dangerous to be outside late at night for this long

It was better to just go back with his friends. If Klein knew that he would realize this, he wouldn’t try to buy beers and ended up owing someone

They have beers in the mansion, he doesn’t need to buy!

However, as soon as Klein was outside intending to go back, he realizes another thing

“Shit, I forgot how to go back in there” Klein exclaimed, feeling so stupid for himself

He was too absentminded and he didn’t even know the road he uses. He was not in the right state of mind before he wandered around

Although the mansion is owned by his family, it was more of company property. He really doesn’t have any reason to go there aside from the shooting

“You’re so stupid, Klein. How could you get lost?” He said frustratingly to himself

How was he supposed to get back to a place he doesn’t know the way? Not to mention, he also doesn’t have his phone with him!

“Pfft, seems like today is your unlucky day, kiddo”

Klein heard Kayden behind him and he just grumbled

Due to frustrations, Klein took one of the beers, opened it, and drank some. The familiar bitter alcoholic taste overpowered his tongue but right now, Klein could only use beer to vent out his frustrations

“Should I give you a ride? My car is parked over there” Kayden offered while pointing at a black car parked in the parking space of the store

Klein waste tempted to accept the offer but he shook his head. Although Kayden looks nice aside from being annoying just like Calix, Klein still doesn’t really know him

He was not so stupid as to ride a stranger’s car without worrying for his safety

“Well, your attitude is actually the right one. You shouldn’t just easily let a stranger give you a ride. But it still does irks me a bit. Do I even have the face of someone that wouldn’t do anything good?” Kayden asked with a pout

His bulky body along with his hair that was longer than what most guys have made quite a contrast with his playful personality. He even pouts at Klein!

Klein wanted to refute using his ‘unfriendly’ tongue but he hold himself back. This guy still brought the beers for him, Klein would be the bad guy if he were to act as rudely as before

“I don’t know” Klein simply replied with a shrug. He could only think of a possible way to get back

There is the choice of calling Shane or Liam to fetch him but he couldn’t contact them. Even if he were to use a payphone, he also doesn’t have his money with him

Klein was in deep thought when Kayden’s face suddenly appeared in front of him

“Boo!” Kayden said to surprise Klein and it was a bit effective as the latter took a few steps back

“Pfft, hahahahaha, kiddo. You should have seen your face! It was really funny!” Kayden said with a laugh and if Klein wasn’t holding back, he might have smack that annoying man’s face already
