Don’t Misunderstood! - Chapter 107

The side of Klein’s face twitches from annoyance. Somehow, this guy could make his anger meter rise easily just like a certain someone that we should hide in the name – Calix

Klein took a deep breath and he just moved his head to the side. He was worried that if he were to continue looking at this annoying guy, he might not really stop himself from hitting him

“Pfft, you angry, kiddo? Fine, fine, I’ll stop. How about this, I’ll lend my phone to you and you can call your parents or friends or whatever. But if you accept the offer, you’ll stop being angry at me?” Kayden offered and since Klein is in no position to reject that, he can only nod his head

“Alright, I left my phone in my car. I’ll just fetch it” Kayden said as he jog towards his car and Klein followed behind him

The man fished out the keys from his pocket to open the door and took his phone before giving it to Klein

Fortunately, Klein memorizes both his parents’ and friends’ contact number. Since his parents were in his home city, in times like this, he could only rely on Shane

Liam is absolutely out of the question as that guy is the one that needs to be taken care off

Klein received the phonr and he muttered a soft thank you before dialing Shane’s number

After a few moments, Shane finally answered her phone. Thankfully, this woman wouldn’t be able to live without her phone

“Hello? Who is this?” Shane questioned as her caller was an unregistered number

“It’s me, Klein” he replied. Fortunately, Klein gave his real name to Kayden. If not, imagine how embarassed he would be

“Klein? What happened? Why are you calling me with an unknown number?”

Klein can hear the confusion from Shane’s voice and he briefly explained the situation while hiding some details

He merely said that he went out for a walk but forgot his phone and wallet

“Are you stupid? I know you can fight but it doesn’t mean you could just roam around in an unfamiliar place alone!”

Klein moved the phone from his ear. Shane’s shouting voice made him feel like his eardrums would burst

“I-I know, sorry, okay? J-just please fetch me here” Klein replied after Shane calmed down a bit

“Stay there and don’t go anywhere else! I’ll just inform the others”

Hearing that, Klein panicked and he immediately opened his mouth to speak. “N-No! Just bring Cain with you”

Klein is still not ready to face Calix and he don’t want to see him yet

Although Shane sensed that this was quite fishy, she decided to pry for more information. Since she saw Calix earlier, Shane is sure that it has something to do with that guy

Since Klein could be put in any danger any moment from now, she immediately had Cain go with him

“Alright, I understand but we would take a long time to get there! We aren’t in the best shape after all”

By that Shane meant that all of them have alcohol in their system. Even if they brought a car, it is unsafe to drive. Thus, they could only go on foot

“Okay, thanks!” Klein replied while sighing in relief. He didn’t expect that he would get lost like this

“Hmm, from what it sounds, seems like you have some personal problems” Kayden commented after taking his phone back

Klein originally doesn’t want to answer but he then thought since this man is a stranger, it might not be bad to talk with him. It’s not like they would ever meet again after this

With that in mind, Klein took one more beer from his plastic bag and he gently threw it in Kayden that immediately caught it with his hands

After that, Klein put the plastic bag on top of Kayden’s car before sipping in his own beer. Only then did he speak

“T-there is someone…” Klein started yet now that he starts talking about it, he became unsure

It feels like if he were to talk about his problem, he doesn’t have a choice but to acknowledge his own feelings

“Someone that? Don’t be scared, I don’t bite” Kayden said playfully. He helped the atmosphere become lighter which made it easier for Klein to say whatever he wants to say

“S-so… there is this someone… that makes me confused like really confused!” A hint of frustration can be heard from Klein’s tone and he even took multiple gulps of his beer in one go

It hurts his throat a bit but the alcohol allowed him to speak his mind easier than before

“Sounds like you like him to me” Kayden commented and Klein was stoned

“Eh? Hellooo, yahooo” Kayden called out while waving his hand in front of Klein that was turned into a unmoving statue

When Klein recovered a bit, he immediately gave Kayden an angry glare

“Y-you asshole! You were supposed to listen to me from start to end. There’s a thing we call as a ‘process’, alright? You just made this pep talk anticlimactic!” Klein can’t help but complain

Of course, deep inside him, he knew that Kayden might be true but he don’t want to acknowledge it yet

Maybe if he were able to finish his words step by step, would he then recognize it. However, this asshole Kayden just has to ruin his moment

There should be a build up first before going to the climax, okay?!

“Y-yeah, sorry” Kayden apologizes insicerely while poking his ear. “But you can’t blame me, it sounds so cliche. I mean, if someone were to say to you that there is a person that makes them confuse, you would surely think that they like that person! If that wasn’t the case, isn’t it weirder?”

Kayden defended himself and he was on point but Klein was still frustated. This bastard didn’t even let him have his moment’

“It’s like one of those common tropes in some randome novels. It was easy to foresee the next things that would happen!” Kayden continue, further irritating Klein

“I know, I know! However! You should still let me gain some momentum before the big reveal!” Klein rebuked

“F-fine, I’m sorry, kiddo, happy now?” Kayden apologizes again but it was still as insincere as before and he can see that Klein seems like he would hit him any moment from now

“Anyway, back to the topic. If you like this someone, why not acknowledge it? Wouldn’t it be easier?” Kayden questioned but Klein shook his head

“I can’t”

“Why?”

“Because I’m gay”

It was not hard for Klein to disclose his sexuality as it was merely a part of himself. As such, he don’t feel shock admitting it to a stranger

“So?” Kayden asked while raising his shoulder a bit

As a result, Klein unconsciously raised his brows that Kayden notices

“I’m okay with gay people. How about it, I’m cool, right?” Kayden bragged as he grinned at Klein that gave him a poker face

“That’s not cool. You being okay with homosexuality is just the bare minimum. Not something to feel good about” Klein replied, dampening Kayden’s mood a bit as he wants to impress Klein

“Tch, what an uptight man. Even if you’re gay, what’s wrong with liking someone?” Kayden asked to bring them back to the topic and Klein finished the whole beer in his hand before answering

“Because he’s straight!” Klein replied with a loud voice. If not for him knowing that the car in front of him is not his, he might have kicked it already

“So as a gay man, you like a straight man. That’s not weird or a hard thing to accept though. Even if he can’t like you, doesn’t mean you can’t like him, right? I think admitting your feelings would make it easier for you to move on. Why not just accept it?”

Kayden makes a really good sense but that was only for normal cases and Klein’s case was not a normal pne

“If were merely friends or even just acquaintances, I could just do that. B-but we…” Klein trailed off as he remembered something and a slight blush immediately appeared in his cheeks

“Hey, don’t just cut your words short when the juicy part is about to come out!” Kayden complained and Klein gritted his teeth before continuing

“W-we kissed, okay?!”

Gosh, this Kayden is really not a good listener. He’s kinda annoying just like Calix!

“Oh? Isn’t that even better?” Kayden questioned in a matter of a fact tone. Klein just made him confuse. If they kissed, wouldn’t that be a good thing unless

“Oh, is the kiss only accidental?” Kayden asked again as he thought he finally figured things out but Klein shook his head

“I-I mean, yeah, the first one is an accident. B-but… the other times…. it’s not” Klein confessed and Kayden immediately looked at him as if he was the biggest idiot in the world
