Don’t Misunderstood! - Chapter 110

“I guess what I’m really trying to say is that your feelings are valid, kiddo. If you still don’t know what to do, you have every right to rest and think things through” Kayden said with a smile and towards the end, he even pats Klein in the head

Somehow, Keon felt like Kayden is an old uncle giving him a piece of advice. It was a strange feeling since Kayden doesn’t look that much older than him

The two continue to converse for some more time before Kayden received a call

“I’ll take this call first” Kayden said before walking a bit, leaving Klein on his own

With a sigh, Klein continues to drink beer. Despite his high alcohol tolerance, he could still feel that he wouldn’t last long if he continue to drink at the same rate

After all, he also already drunk quite a lot when he was still at the mansion. Even if he showered, it doesn’t mean that the alcohol is already out of his system

Now that he was drinking even more alcoholic drinks, the alcohol that was already in his system was stirred

While he was waiting, Klein heard someone calling his name and when he looked at the source, he saw Shane and Cain running towards him

“Hey” Klein greeted with a yawn and Shane immediately smacked him in the end

“You jerk, why are you drinking in someone’s car? What if you displease the owner or worse, they accuse you of stealing?” Shane asked angrily

She doesn’t know the owner of the car that Klein put his cans of beer with and she assumed wrongly

“I-I kind of know the owner!” Klein replied while rubbing his head. He turned to look at the place he last saw Kayden but found no one in there

“Huh? Where is he?” Klein asked while looking around to see where that annoying, playful yet also helpful guy

“Aren’t you just too drunk? You might be hallucinating and thought that you are talking to someone!” Shane said with a sneer

With how much beer her friend has drunk, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he were to hallucinate

“No, I even have his card. He said that I could contact him if I were to need help” Klein insisted, he was about to take out the card when Cain speaks

“Let’s just talk later. We need to go back. Look at Klein, he might get sick” Cain said out of worry. Just the thought of his Goddess getting sick was enough to break his heart

“Yeah, I know you are quite liberated but do you really have to wear something like that when going outside?” Shane questioned while looking at Klein from head to toe

Klein wants to defend himself and day that he originally was wearing a jacket and he just accidentally left it but how could he? If he were to say that, he also needs to disclose the fact that he was with Calix doing god knows what

“E-ehem, whatever. Let’s just go back” Klein replied. He wants to say good bye to Kayden first but that guy is currently missing

Since he has his contact number on the card, Klein could still thank Kayden next time

With that, the three starts walking back to the mansion but with all three of them having alcohol in their system, their speed was quite slow

They didn’t know that a certain someone was hiding that breathe a sigh of relief after seeing that they were finally gone

It took some time before the three arrived back at the mansion and all of them head straight to their respective bedrooms

Klein was sharing a room with Liam as they are both guys and he entered his room. He kinda expected to see Liam but there was no one inside

With a shrug, Klein went to his bed first and rested his tired mind and body. His eyes stared directly at the ceiling with an empty look

Kayden’s words of wisdom were repeated in his mind. Now that he thinks of it, it was really exhausting shutting down his feelings and he badly needed a rest

Klein was about to doze off in the bed when he heard a knock on his door. While expecting that it would be Liam, Klein went to the door and opened it just to see Calix outside

“Where have you been?” The red face Calix questioned. He looks clearly drunk from the way his eyes fluttered and how red his cheeks were

Even his breath reeks of alcohol and Klein can’t help but frown a bit

“Outside” Klein simply replied before asking a question. “Why are you here? You are drunk, just go to sleep”

The last thing Klein needs when resting is someone that would confuse his heart. Calix’s presence is unnecessary right now

Calix was clearly pissed by Klein’s words, visible at how drastic the change in his facial expression was

“Who do you think is the reason why I am drunk?” Calix questioned

He still has the option of rejecting the alcohol the girls offered to him but because of how Klein run away from him, Calix thought that it wouldn’t be that bad

He can’t help but feel sour that the person that was the reason for him drinking too much was acting like he don’t have anything to do with it

Klein was guilty but he already decided that he needs time. “Calix, just go. I have to rest and it would be better if we don’t talk for now si—”

Before Klein can even finish his words, Calix’s fist already banged the walls

“Klein! Why are you like this?! Are you pushing me away again?!” Calix asked angrily, the alcohol in his body heavily influencing him

This scenario feels familiar to him. It feels the same as when he was in Klein’s apartment and Shane caught them

It was a horrible experience for him. Klein hurt him so much at that time

Calix thought that little by little, their relationship could improve. However, in the end, they are back to where they started again

It was like nothing has changed and Calix feels too stupid

“I’m not pushing you… I—” Klein meant to say that he wasn’t pushing Calix away and he just needed time but he changed his mind

He moved his head to the side before speaking again. “Think in whatever way you want” Klein said and he can feel his words also hurting his own heart

Klein decided to rest but in the end, he still thinks that there is no future with him and Calix

Even if Klein were to accept his and Calix’s feelings, he is sure that his pessimistic thinking would still get in the way

Maybe, the two could enter a proper relationship and be boyfriends. However, even if they were to do that, Klein is sure that he would still always think that Calix is someday going to leave him for a woman

It can’t be helped. Life is not a fairytale. Just how low are the chances of a gay guy having a straight guy as their ‘end game’? The chances were too low

Since he is sure that he would constantly feel insecure, why bother starting a relationship, right?

Calix expected Klein to act confused, vague, or whatever. He didn’t expect that Klein would be this direct and cold towards him

In the end… was it really only him that felt something? Is Klein really just messing with him?

The pain from weeks ago and the pain he had this night overlaps and Calix can’t help but take a step back

His eyes reddened as he felt his chest getting heavier. This was the first time that he ever had romantic feelinngs for someone yet the person he likes was actually this heartless

Calix felt like all the alcohol in his system vanishes and he regained clarity. He starts to get back to his senses

No matter how hard a person tries to push themselves on someone, that would simply not work if that someone don’t like them

All efforts would just be futile and he should just give up early on

Calix repeatedly took deep breaths, still hesitating as he hope that Klein would take his words back. However, in the end, Klein still refuses to look at him

“You know what, I didn’t expect that this weekend would be like a roller. One moment, I feel sad and hurt then the next I would feel happy. The cycle repeated and I am back to being hurt again”

“But this is my fault. In the first place, you already said that you don’t like me. The misunderstanding was actually also cleared by Shane. She said that you really didn’t like me in the past and she was just messing with us”

“I guess, this is my karma for being a jerk to think that you would ever like me”

Calix said his piece while breathing hard, there were even times when he almost choked on his own words
