Don’t Misunderstood! - Chapter 119

Since Klein knew that it was him that hurts the both of them, informing Calix of the reason is the least thing he could do

With that in mind, Klein turned his head to look at Calix with a smile that isn’t actually a smile. His lips were curled upwards but he doesn’t look happy. He only looks like a person that is sad and is in pain

“I’m gay, Calix. That’s something I never feel ashamed of” Klein started. No matter how many people tried to bully and mock him because of his sexuality, he still never felt ashamed for it. Never!

“If I enter a romantic relationship with someone, we would face a lot of prejudice. You already witnessed the things that gay people experienced by looking at what Dwayne did to me”

“If I’m going to accept a person’s affection for me, I want that person to be able to walk with me in this prejudice world!”

Klein starts pouring out everything that he was bottling up inside him. The atmosphere turned melancholic as Klein releases a downcast aura

He might be a strong person but he also experienced a lot of horrible things just because he was gay

“I can! I can be that person! I don’t care what people would think!” Calix said, in almost a begging manner. He looks so agitated that his whole face was red in color

If that is what Klein is worried about, there’s no need for that. Calix is not too naive to think that their relationship would be a smooth one

Klein just has to give him the chance! Unfortunately, Klein seems to not have that kind of plan as he shook his head

“Calix, witnessing and experiencing prejudice are two completely different things. I don’t want to be with a straight guy. If I’m going to enter a romantic relationship with someone, I want my partner to be gay or at least a bisexual” Klein said firmly and the reaction he received from Calix was not the one he was expecting it to be

Calix… he… he was looking at Klein with knitted brows. His face seems to be screaming ‘what the fuck?’

“T-that’s… that’s the only reason why you cannot accept me?” Calix questioned in disbelief as if he doesn’t know whether he should cry or laugh and Klein felt offended by that

“What do you mean by ‘just’?! It was a big reason! Hmph, this is why I don’t want to be with a straight guy! You simply wouldn’t understand!” Klein retorted while seething in anger. He was even raising his fist from frustration

Calix realizes that he did something wrong again and he waved his hand in panic

“W-wait! That’s not what I meant!” Calix cried out as he strode forward to Klein that was glaring at him

Calix hold Klein’s hands using his as he looks at the latter with a very serious expression

“What I meant is, I’m not straight, okay?!” Calix blurted out and Klein immediately gave him a deadpan expression

“If you’re only saying this to make me accept you, stop. I’ll just be angry at you the moment I prove that you are wrong. If you are not straight then are you telling me that you are straight?”

No matter how many times Klein looks at Calix or how many times he interacts with him, except for the times they kissed, that guy looks as straight as a ruler

Klein knows that one should not assume a person’s sexuality. Even if a person is as feminine as he can be, others should still not assume their sexuality and the same was true if that person is masculine

After all, masculinity and femininity are not an indication of a person’s sexuality. One can be straight but feminine and also gay but masculine

However… Calix… there was almost no way in hell that Klein would believe that Calix is gay

“No, I’m also not gay” Calix said while shaking his head and Klein immediately frowned at him

“Then what? Are you playing with me?” Klein asked while trying to take his hands back but Calix didn’t let him

The man just shook his head furiously again. “What I’m trying to say is that I am neither straight, gay, bisexual, or whatever. I simply don’t label myself! I am Calix and that’s it. The only thing that I know now is that I have feelings for you, I like you!”

Klein blinked his eyes repeatedly… is Calix really saying the truth?

Of course,  there are people that refuse to label themselves as they think that was unnecessary. However… the same problem still stands. Could Calix even endure the prejudice of people?

Calix refusing to label himself won’t change a thing. He is still not gay that already receives the judgment of people

The risk of a day wherein he tries to end things with Klein for the reason of not being able to endure the prejudice is still there

“M-my answer is still the same!” Klein refused but his voice was not as firm as before. A crack already appeared in it as he tried to get his hand back again

Seeing that, Calix gritted his teeth. “Fine! If you think that I am not trustworthy, I just have to prove myself, right?”

Klein had a bad feeling about this as he stared at Calix in alert. “W-what are you going to do?”

Calix didn’t answer that and he just took out his phone from his pocket

“H-hey! Answer me!” Klein said while trying to take a peak on Calix’s phone but the latter easily dodged him

‘This guy!’ Klein seethes in anger. Fortunately, it wasn’t that long before Calix shove his phone in front of Klein

The Facebook app was open in Calix’s phone and the first thing that Klein noticed was that recently posted post of this guy

It was a post that contains only a few words but it was still more than enough to make Klein feel as if he had just received the greatest shock in the world

“See? I’m not afraid! Since I want to be together with you, I perfectly know what might possibly happen in the future. You know me perfectly Klein, many people are badmouthing me for being unfriendly and rejecting people ruthlessly but those things don’t matter to me!” Calix said proudly as he continue letting Klein read his post

In fact, his post looks silly and looks like he got pranked by his friends but the fact that Calix did this for Klein…

“There is a guy I like right now that I hope will accept my feelings”

That was the only thing included in Calix’s post but Klein could still feel a warm current spreading in every corner of his heart

Calix’s post doesn’t look that much but since he did it for Klein, that changes things

“I-Idiot, d-delete that immediately or say that Cain was pranking you!” Klein ordered but his voice was as soft as a mosquito

It’s like his strength escapes his body and he became a bit meek

“Why should I? I was telling the truth and if you want, I can even show the world the person that I like!” Calix rebuked with a fire burning in his eyes

Klein can feel that as soon as he says the word, Calix would really post a picture of him

Klein can only bite his lower lip as mixed emotions swirled inside him. His rationality was shouting for him to stop all this nonsense but his heart was scolding him for trying to push away a guy that is willing to go this far for him

He was still in a torn state when he felt Calix flicking his forehead. “I can hear your internal dilemma from here” Calix said and Klein pursed his lips

This bastard really has no manners. How dare he flick Klein’s forehead when he was still thinking?

“How about I help you make a decision?” Calix offered with a sly smile that causes Klein to raise his brows

He can’t help but be alert to whatever this bastard was planning to do

“Don’t be scared. The solution is simple” Calix said playfully as he pushed Klein against the wall, once again caging him

“I’ll kiss you again. If you refuse, I would let you go” Calix said while feigning confidence. In truth, he was scared of this plan of his but of all the times that he kisses Klein, this guy never refuses

Calix was betting on that fact and he was nervous that this very important moment might be the first instance that Klein would refuse a kiss from him

“But if you let me kiss you, from now on, you are mine. I won’t let you run away from me ever again. How does that sound?” Calix asks with a cocky smile, acting as if Klein would accept his kiss

At this moment, Calix could only try to look as confident as possible!
