The two walked for a while with their hands intertwined together but Klein immediately took back his hand as soon as he saw another human being

Calix noticed that but he just let Klein be. He can sense that Klein doesn’t like people to know that there is something ‘weird’ going on with the two of them

He had witnessed how freak out Klein could be and he has to take it slow, one step at a time

“Where did the both of you went?” Shane inquired as soon as the two returned and it was Klein that answered

“N-nothing! P-pfft, where would we even go, right? Hahahaha!” Klein replied defensively, he’s not doing a good job at trying to be convincing

Heck, not even a 5-year-old kid would be fooled by him

“So… we’re supposed to believe that?” Shane asked while lightly shaking his head

“O-of course! I mean, there is no… like…. hahaha… silly you” Klein decided that it was better to just keep his mouth shut and he meekly went back to his seat

To everyone’s surprise, though, Calix followed suit and he sat next to him

“Ohooo, I can sense something fishy here” Shane commented after seeing Calix’s actions

“Oh no, I knew it. Even my cold-hearted friend would fall for my Goddess. I just hope my Goddess wouldn’t fall back” Cain sobs with fake tears and the panicky side of Klein was aroused once again

“W-w-w-what?! T-that will n-never happen! I’d r-rather die!” Klein’s voice rose a bit… actually, a lot, attracting a lot of attention and he can only mouth an apology to them while lowering his head

“Really? That’s good! I knew my Goddess wouldn’t fall with a jerk!” Cain was relieved and Klein’s face twitches a bit

“Ha… h-haha, sure” Klein averted his gaze

Calix can’t help but glare at his friend while also feeling kind of hurt. Klein’s strong refusal kinda hurt his feelings

Even if both of them are confused right now, there is no need to act like that. If Calix didn’t sense that there is a reason for Klein acting like this, he might have been greatly disheartened already

“Is it just me or… there’s something different with those two?” Liam whispered to Tristan

There is something in the atmosphere between those two always arguing people that he couldn’t quite pinpoint

“Beats me” Tristan answered with a shrug

October 8 the Year 2022

Four days later

“Oh my God, yasss!! I was accepted! Dang, I knew I have what it takes to be the greatest villain of all time!” Shane rejoice after the audition result was posted in the group chat of the club

Shane doesn’t like to be a female protagonist that is weak and would passively accept humiliations. What she wants is to be the villain

Shane wants to slap people or pour drinks on them even if it was just acting. She thinks that doing scenes like those were very cool

If she is the one that would get slapped with, she’ll rather stop acting

“Great, now that the cause of your nervousness is gone, may I finally know what Your Majesty wants this servant to cook?” Klein asked sarcastically

It was currently a weekend and there is no class but his dear friend has visited him or more like visited him so that he would make her food

It was Shane that ask Klein to cook for her yet this nervous woman don’t know what she wants to eat

Thus, the two were in a stalemate for around an hour. They both want to eat already but thanks to Shane, Klein still hasn’t started cooking

“Tsk, since you know that you nailed the audition, you weren’t nervous about the result! Damn you, genius!” Shane said through gritted teeth and Klein averted his gaze

“Y-you should have practiced every day if you don’t want to be afraid of the result” Klein can only say that when in fact, that wasn’t the reason why he was not worried about the audition result

In fact, Klein has decided to forget all about that audition. Whenever he starts thinking about it, he would always remember the kiss or more like kisses he had shared with Calix

As Klein discovered a new talent of his which was running away, he has tried his best to not think about anything that will make him remember the kisses and his current complicated relationship with Calix

That’s the only reason he wasn’t worried about the result. If not, he too would have been nervous

“Geez, whatever. Since I’m calm now, I know what to eat, I want pizza with lots of cheese and absolutely no pineapples!”

Pizza… Klein’s eyes darkened at hearing that. Out of all the dishes in the world, Shane has to choose pizza. Is she shitting Klein, right now?

“No way, I wouldn’t make pizza now and never!” Klein almost shouted

He was making a pizza the day he had his first kiss with Calix (and sadly, he wasn’t able to finish that because of the situation with Dwayne)

Klein doesn’t want anything that will make him remember the kiss and he definitely wouldn’t make pizza!

“What the! What’s wrong with you and pizza? What’s with this strong reaction? You also like pizza with no pineapples!” Shane was really sensing something fishy with Klein these past few days

“It’s nothing. Just choose whatever you want aside from pizza!” Klein said firmly as he stood up from the sofa to get some water in the fridge

“Argh, so annoying” Shane also stood up from her seat to drink water herself. She has been a nervous wreck earlier and her throat felt kind of dry

“If it’s not pizza, I couldn’t think of anything else that I want to eat” Shane whined, not knowing that Klein’s ears palpitated every time he heard the word ‘pizza’

“Shut up and just drink your water” Klein said as he shoved a glass full of water to Shane’s mouth and force her to drink all of it

“Cough! Cough! Klein you bastard!” Shane muttered angrily while coughing

“If you have to pee, you know where the bathroom is” Klein replied with a shrug and Shane can only accept that advice as she really has to pee now

“Wooh” Klein let out a sigh of relief before drinking more water

Ding dong

“Who is it this time?” Klein mumbled and he dragged his heavy feet to his door to open it

As soon as Klein did that, he immediately blinked his eyes repeatedly, thinking that he was seeing an illusion

Since blinking didn’t change a thing, Klein uses his hand to rub his eyes until they turned red

“What are you doing?” Calix asked in confusion and finally, Klein has to admit that this guy is here

“What are you doing here with…” Klein’s eyes widened in surprise as he gasps hard. “A freaking pizza?! Seriously?!”

It didn’t take that long before Klein’s cheeks turned red from both anger and shame from remembering something

Out of all the things that Calix could bring with his unwelcome visit, it just has to be a pizza!

“What’s wrong with pizza?” Calix feigned ignorance

For the past days, he knew that Klein was trying his best to forget about the kiss and Calix don’t want that

He couldn’t be the only one heavily affected by the kiss. Klein is not allowed to forget about it

“Klein, who is it?! Is it Liam? I knew that little bastard wouldn’t have anything else to do!” Shane’s loud voice came from the bathroom and Klein panics

For the nth time, Klein’s brain didn’t work properly. Instead of just pushing Calix out of his doorsteps, he dragged the guy into his room

“Y-you… you couldn’t be here! Shane will see you!” Klein said as soon as he closes his room’s door

“So?” Calix asked with a shrug before sitting down in Klein’s bed

“What so?! You have to get out now!”

“Why?”

“This… why are you being such a jerk?”

“Why are you always running away from me?”

“I-I didn’t!”

“Yes, you did!”

“I wasn’t!”

“You did!”

“I wasn’t!”

The two went back and forth for some time before Klein heard Shane again

“Klein, where are you? Who came?” Shane asked and from how her voice sounded, she wasn’t in the bathroom anymore

“Shit” Klein cursed before thinking of an excuse. “I-it’s just someone asking for directions. I-I’ll be in my room for a minute, I just have to do something!”

After taking care of Shane, Klein turned his attention back to Calix that has his arms crossed in front of him

“Why do I sense that you are sulking?” Klein asked in confusion

“Because I am”

“What the… are you a kid?”

“Yes, since a kid wouldn’t run away from their problems”

“Don’t be silly, kids don’t have problems. They just play and goof around while bleeding their parents’ pockets”

Calix can’t help but laugh a bit at Klein’s comeback. This guy really knows what to say
