Doulou Dalu: Reborn As Tang San - Chapter 9
A spirit after obtaining the spirit ring, all abilities must undergo a process of variation to evolve. Different spirits with similar spirit rings evolve completely different abilities, and vice versa, even if the spirit ring only is different in age, the abilities will still have great differences. Regaining consciousness, Tang San first of all thought of his dad, he was eager to tell him about his success.
“Dad, I’m done”
“Excellent, now pack up your throwing weapons and we’ll be picking up your mom with us. But are you really sure that your subspace will be able to heal her faster?”
Tang hao asked, still stumped that his son had such an ability to contain a small world into himself, but not only that it also runs on a different time dilation as the world, truly fascinating.
“Yea dad, I already showed you. Geez, don’t tell me you’re already starting to get senile.” Tang san smirked
Tang Hao smiled at this interaction, joy filled him as he can now finally reconnect with his son that he had neglected for years.
“You brat! Hmph just watch I your father will handle you during your tortu-training”
“Hmpf, If you so much as do anything ruthless then I your grandpa will tell mom about breaking your promise by neglecting me!” Tang san teased
“*Ahem* After picking up your mother, we’ll be travelling to were you will be continuing your training for the next 2 years.”
“Where will that be, dad?”
“Far Northern plains”
———————
Tang Hao pointed next to him, as he was facing a slender blue silver grass. That blue silver grass seemed a bit longer than ordinary grass, but most extraordinary was the thin golden line in the centre.
Taking a few steps forward, he knelt in front of that blue silver grass as his father instructed.
Raising a hand, the expression in Tang Hao’s eyes suddenly became extraordinarily soft. He extremely gently ċȧrėssed that golden lined blade of blue silver grass,
“Ah Yin, I’ve brought our son to see you. Our son has already grown up now. He’s got your beauty, and he’s even more outstanding than me. Do you see? Our son is here.”
Tang San’s heart shook, stupidly watching that slightly swaying, distributing a gentle aura, blue silver grass. He also gently ċȧrėssed a blade of that blue silver grass. At this moment, a strange scene appeared. Among that blue silver grass, the two longest blades unexpectedly slowly moved, one twisting around Tang Hao’s hand, and one twining around Tang San’s fingers
“Hey Mom…”
——-Timeskip
Tang hao looking at his son dumbfoundedly, feeling that he had misheard his son.
“Yea, dad its easy and plus mom would feel more comfortable with it”
Tang san then transferred the entire mound, earth and all into the realm. Leaving behind a perfectly square hole that seems like it had been dug out
————————
Endless snow as far as the eyes can see, within the vast white we see two figures travelling side by side.
====
Tang San following behind his father stopped his steps, following Tang Hao’s gaze forward.
Appearing in front of them, was a rolling snowy mountain range stretching into the distance overlooking the blinding white plains. They were unable to see all of the mountain range from where they stood, but even the outmost mountains were high enough to pierce the clouds.
“Have you recovered?”
Tang Hao asked.
“Already recovered.”
Tang Hao gave Tang San a smirk,
“Alright. Try to keep up with me.”
Leaving only six words, Tang Hao already soared up, climbing straight up the mountain wall in front.
The mountain wall in front was extremely precipitous, close to ninety degrees, but Tang Hao still walked as if stepping on the level ground. Each time the tips of his toes touched the mountain wall, his body would ascend more than ten meters, swiftly rising towards the top.
Tang San drew a deep breath, condensing his spirit power on his feet, calves and hands. crouching forward, calve muscle bending, his ċhėst close to the ground. Then with a burst of power, his legs abruptly exerted themselves, Tang San shooting up like a bolt of lightning, directly ascending close to ten meters. Feeling relief that he had incorporated rock climbing during his childhood training.
With the rhythmic sound of his breathing, Tang San felt the blood within his body gradually warm up, his whole body indescribably comfortable and no longer cold.
Tang Hao was like an untiring machine, bringing Tang San across one mountain peak after another, using close to half a day to penetrate deep within the mountain range. While Tang San was starting to get dizzy with blurred vision. because using inner energy control consumed spirit power, and half a day of travel made Tang San dizzy with blurred vision.
Just at this moment, a faint rumbling sound reached his ears, and the air also gradually grew cold with frigid mist.
As they constantly came closer, that rumbling became more and more deafening. The surrounding area was slowly getting enshrouded in mist, while the temperature was even a bit lower here than in the mountain peaks they had passed.
At last, Tang Hao halted once again. This was a mountain valley, to be precise, it was a pool. The deep water was so clear, tranquil and serene, like a giant blue gem.
On one side of the valley was a twenty-meter wide waterfall, covering the two hundred meters high mountain wall like a jade ribbon. That rumble was the sound of it striking the pool. The waterfall poured down in torrents, smashing into the pool, striking up countless splashes.
Tang Hao sat there quietly, his gaze all along falling on the waterfall pouring down like a silver river. For some reason, his always cold expression had changed, and that aged face revealed an unconcealable tenderness.
Perhaps it was because Tang Hao sensed his gaze, but his expression mended and he slowly turned to look at Tang San.
“For the next two years, We will be training here. I will be teaching you all the necessities about combat. The training will start tomorrow, for now, do as you please. And take out your mother I wish to bring her along somewhere”
“Sure dad”
Seeing as the day was already over Tang san decide to set up tent and sleep. Needing to do a few things in the realm such as levelling his spirit ring, practising the genjutsu: Sharingan and finally learning to control his spirit vines so that he could braid it like a rope with ease. He was even thinking about taking up sewing and using the grass as threads for control practice.
But for now, he must rest.
