Douluo Dalu: Wulin’s Legend - Chapter 123 Second Tournament!
Everyone in the house except for Ning Yuzi let out an audible gasp of astonishment.
Not all of these gasps were for the same reason, but they all had the same origin.
Little Niu and Pachong stared at Wulin’s swaying tail with their big and beady eyes.
They had never heard of someone having the body parts of their Spirit before, which is why Pachong was thought to be a monster.
But now, another person came along with the same condition, and he said they were not monsters.
Pachong and Little Niu were quickly relieved after hearing his words and seeing his tail.
Although it had only been a little while since the Awakening Ceremony, the drastic change in attitude was a massive blow to Pachong.
The people who were kind to her became cold, distant and were unwilling to let their children play with her.
Their attitudes hurt her feelings, and she couldn’t help but feel that she didn’t belong in the village anymore.
If she didn’t have Little Niu’s family and her own trying to console her, she might have run away already.
However, Pachong was finally able to feel relieved once a stranger like Wulin said she wasn’t a monster.
As for Little Niu, she was thrilled that there was another person like Pachong in the world.
Not only that, but he was willing to bring both of them to a place where they will live happily without bullies.
The adults in the room hardly even noticed Wulin’s monkey tail since they were so focused on the words that came out of his mouth.
Future master of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan? What kind of title is this?
It meant having a status equal to that of an empire, something none of them could ever hope to acquire.
It didn’t even cross their mind that Wulin could be lying. After all, they had seen Ning Yuzi’s power, but he was still kneeling to Wulin.
Their mouths opened and closed like a fish out of water, unable to speak out of pure shock.
Very quickly, they did the only thing that came to mind, kneeling.
They lowered their heads and stared directly at the floor beneath them, feeling unworthy of looking in Wulin’s direction.
As for Little Niu’s father, he was feeling even worse. His body was shivering as he recalled what he had done.
In his anger earlier, he called Wulin a bastard! He called the heir of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan a bastard!
He was shaking in self anguish and regret; he could only prepare himself for the punishment he deserved.
Wulin could only watch as the people went through a myriad of emotions while kneeling in front of him.
He wasn’t a person who was vain and needed people to kneel before him, but he also knew it was a necessity.
“All of you, rise,” Wulin spoke in a commanding tone, giving the villagers no chance to think twice.
Sometimes, there was a need to show authority in your voice. Otherwise, everyone will become confused and disorderly.
Wulin didn’t want to waste time anymore, and from the sounds of it, Pachong wasn’t welcomed in the village either.
“Now, do you all accept the offer to enter the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan?” He asked.
The two families were put on the spot in an instant, “Yes!”
They answered almost as quickly as Wulin asked, knowing that he didn’t have unlimited patience.
Wulin nodded his head, “Good. We will leave tomorrow morning. Yuzi, let’s go.”
Ning Yuzi hurriedly nodded his head and followed Wulin out the house to the nearby forest.
Wulin and Ning Yuzi are plenty used to living outdoors, so they decided to stay the night in the forest instead of imposing in another person’s home.
…
The next day, Wulin and Ning Yuzi gathered with Little Niu and Pachong’s family and got ready to head back to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.
“Alright, let’s get going now.” Wulin looked at them and said.
As he spoke, he manipulated his Spirit Power and summoned his Monkey God’s Nimbus.
Because he was going to be carrying many more people, he had to spend more Spirit Power to make it larger.
Of course, with the amount of practice he had in the Immortal Realm, his Spirit Power consumption was lowered to minimal rates.
Also, his Spirit Power reserves are higher than ever before, so he could easily sustain the trip back to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.
Very quickly, Wulin made a nimbus cloud large enough to accommodate all eight of them.
Little Niu and Pachong hopped to Wulin’s side. They were wearing the newest and cleanest clothes they owned, looking like little bunny rabbits.
Well, one bunny rabbit and one alligator-rabbit hybrid. Pachong was no less cute, though.
“Master, are we going to fly to the Seven… Seven Clan?”
Little Niu asked, obviously still struggling to remember the name of the clan she was moving to.
“Silly Niu, It is the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan! You should learn to remember it.”
Pachong rapt Little Niu on the side of her head, scolding her for being so silly.
“Chong Chong, you still smack my head! I won’t care for you anymore!”
Little Niu glared at Pachong for a second before turning her head and ignoring her, not forgetting to let out a cute harrumph.
Pachong’s eyes widened in fright, and she quickly wrapped her arms around Little Niu.
“Niu, didn’t you say you would be my friend forever? You wouldn’t be shameless enough to break your promise, would you?”
Pachong’s tail swept from side to side, smacking against the ground energetically.
It was a dire contrast compared to the tragic and betrayed look on her face and her accusive words.
Little Niu pursed her lips in consideration, “It is you who is shameless, smacking me on the head even though I am your friend!”
Pachong rested her head on Little Niu’s shoulder, “You are right, Niu. How can I make it up to you?”
Little Niu put a finger to her mouth and thought for a second, “You will do whatever I want?”
Pachong rapidly nodded her head, “Of course. Of course.”
A small smile crept its way onto Little Niu’s face, “Then… You can’t hit me on the head anymore.”
“Yes, yes. I won’t smack your head anymore. It would be bad if you stopped being a genius because I smacked it too much.”
Little Niu nodded her head in agreement, “Then… how about you play games with me?”
“Yes, yes. Anything you want to play, I will play with you. Are we still friends now?”
By now, Little Niu was already smiling widely, “Hmm… I guess so, and we can still be friends.”
Wulin was still there, watching the two play back and forth in their little skit.
He found their friendship entertaining and couldn’t help but laugh at how quickly their attitudes changed.
“Alright, hurry onto the nimbus now. I will be flying everyone to the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.”
Wulin ushered the two kids onto the cloud while all the adults also climbed onto it.
Once everyone was standing on the Monkey God’s Nimbus, it slowly began floating in the air.
“Whoa!”
“Uwah!”
Sounds of amazement came from all the villagers. They were weak people, with the strongest not even having their second Spirit Ring.
They have hardly even jumped or climbed a high place before, let alone floating in the air.
Wulin summoned his Chaos Energy Staff and shaped it to wrap around the villagers.
At the same time, he coiled his tail around Little Niu and Pachong carefully.
Once he made sure everyone was secure, Wulin willed for his Monkey God’s Nimbus to return to the clan.
*Woosh!*
In an instant, the nimbus burst into maximum speed, heading straight towards the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.
As Wulin had expected, the villagers were scared out of their minds once they felt the speed they were moving.
It was much faster than they thought was possible, and it was only thanks to Wulin and Ning Yuzi that they stayed on the nimbus.
To help them feel better during the trip, Ning Yuzi used some of his Spirit Power to block the wind for them.
Several hours passed by, allowing the villagers to get used to flying and even become bored of it.
It was fascinating at first, but now that they were in the same position for multiple hours, it became tedious.
The only thing they could do was stare at the ground flashing past their eyes.
Fortunately, their excitement rose once they arrived at the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.
Even before he entered the clan’s territory, Wulin could see a couple of white-clothed individuals watching him from the trees.
They probably reported Wulin’s return to the rest of the clan, because he was able to move unhindered into the heart of the clan territory.
Very quickly, Wulin landed the nimbus cloud in an open space of the clan territory.
Even before he landed, many white-clothed clansmen were awaiting Wulin while kneeling.
“Welcome back, Young Master!” They shouted simultaneously.
The backwater villagers and little children all watched the scene with astonishment.

Wulin dispersed the Monkey God’s Nimbus and let everyone down gently.
“These kids are new members, and this is their family. Help them get used to life here.”
Wulin said to the white-clothed clansmen, before turning to face Little Niu and Pachong.
“Go with these people, and they will teach you how to get started in the clan. Make some friends and cultivate hard.”
He placed his large hands on both their heads and rubbed it lightly.
The girls nodded their heads obediently while their families hurried to express their gratitude.
Wulin accepted it with a smile and promised to see the girls later, before leaving to go to the main palace.
The rest of the girls should be back from their shopping trip already, so Wulin was off to see them.
Quickly, he found Little Jing and Rong Rong in the main lounge drinking tea and eating snacks with Ning Fengzhi.
“Brother Wulin!” Rong Rong was the first to notice and jumped to her feet, before rushing to Wulins side.
“Come, come! Sit with us!”
Rong Rong had a broad smile on her delicate face, and she held Wulin’s hand between her arms and dragged him over to the sofa.
Wulin allowed himself to be pulled to the sofa and sat down with Rong Rong.
Little Jing, who was sitting beside Ning Fengzhi, leapt to Wulin’s side and plopped her bottom on his lap.
Ning Fengzhi watched them with a helpless expression on his face, “Now that the husband is back, you all abandon me…”
Little Jing wiggled her body and got comfortable, poking her tongue out at Ning Fengzhi cutely.
Wulin placed his palm on Little Jing’s head and scratched her fox ears gently.
“Brother Wulin, Daddy told me you and Yuzi went on a short trip.”
Rong Rong held Wulin’s hand in front of her and traced the creases with her slender fingers as she asked.
“Ning Yuzi and I went on a little trip, and we brought back a talented kid with a unique Spirit,”
“Not only that, but I found a kid that has a mutation which fused their Spirit and body.”
Ning Fengzhi looked at Wulin, “You brought another one home as well?”
“That’s right, Little Niu wouldn’t go without her, and I was curious, so I invited her as well.”
Ning Fengzhi only shrugged his shoulders lazily, “Well, do whatever you want. It will be your problem to deal with in the future.”
Thinking about this, Ning Fengzhi felt an urge to laugh. In the future, he wouldn’t have to worry about matters of the clan anymore.
Instead, he can live his life peacefully, hopefully with some grandchildren and dote on them.
Wulin only nodded his head, before adding, “Also, I will be hosting a competition for all the children with a Spirit Power of 10 and under.”
“Oh? That is a pretty good idea. Let the kids have some competition and get to know each other.”
Ning Fengzhi agreed.
“As for the reward, A heavenly item that increases the potential of a Spirit Master.”
