Douluo Dalu: Wulin’s Legend - Chapter 125 Food God!
Unbeknownst to the danger looming over their heads, Wulin forced Little Jing and Rong Rong to cultivate for the promise that he would take them to play sometime.
Because he had the Immortal Realm, Wulin never cultivated outside and spent the time doing other things, like strengthening his physical body.
However, there was a couple of things Wulin had to do before he could focus on himself.
*Knock Knock*
There was a knock at Wulin’s study. Really, it was just one of Rong Rong’s study rooms, but Wulin took it as his own.
“Come in.” He said lightly.
The door opened, and Ning Yuzi stepped inside, “Young Master, you wanted to see me?”
“Mhm, how is your cultivation going?” Wulin looked up at Ning Yuzi and asked.
Hearing Wulin’s question, Ning Yuzi’s eyes brightened like the sun.
“I am at the brink of a breakthrough, and I am confident of reaching the 49th level before the Ranking Competition begins!”
Obviously, he was very excited to be near a breakthrough, as it was one step closer to becoming a Spirit King.
“Good, Good.” Wulin nodded his head.
“Actually, I have a gift for you. Take this with you and drink it. It is extremely beneficial to your cultivation.”
Wulin pushed a little gourd to Ning Yuzi, who was a little stunned.
“Young Master, instead of using it on me, you should use it yourself. You are much more talented than me, and it would be a waste if I took it.”
Ning Yuzi hurriedly declined the gourd. He was a decade older than Wulin, but a couple ranks lower than him.
In his mind, it was much more beneficial for Wulin to use the gourd instead.
“Don’t worry about me. The girls and I have already taken this before, so it won’t affect us if we retook it so quickly.”
“This liquid has the effect of cleansing your body of all impurities. You will be able to cultivate at the same speed as the rest of us from now on.”
Ning Yuzi felt overwhelmed by the generosity that Wulin had been showing him.
“Young Master, I am eternally grateful to you! As long as there is something you need, I will not hesitate in the slightest.”
He took the gourd and bowed as deeply as he could; he felt that he couldn’t thank Wulin enough.
“I will be counting on you in the future. Don’t tell anyone about what I gave you, otherwise it will bring an endless amount of trouble to all of us.”
Ning Yuzi nodded his head solemnly, before quickly leaving to take the Spirit Liquid.
“Now that I’ve dealt with Ning Yuzi’s cultivation problems, it’s time that I help Little Niu and Pachong.”
Wulin thought for a little at his desk before standing up and leaving.
He found a clan member and told him to announce that he would be holding a tournament in half a month.
“A tournament for all the children? That’s a great idea, my little boy is at the eighth rank right now, so he will do pretty well.”
The clan member was delighted to hear about the tournament and immediately went to spread the word.
After he made sure that the clan member made the announcement, Wulin went to find Little Niu and Pachong at their courtyard.
As he entered, the two girls immediately noticed him, and they bounded over to him.
“Master!” They sweetly called out.
They were wearing the traditional white clothing of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan, causing them to look vibrant and pure.
Not only that but with clean water and very nourishing meals, the girls were already starting to look healthier.
“Hello girls, looks like you have settled in rather nicely.” Wulin patted their heads and said.
They vigorously nodded their heads, “This place is amazing, and it’s so big!”
“We went for a walk yesterday, and still couldn’t completely explore the clan!”
Wulin listened to them talk about their day and nodded his head, “It’s good that you girls like it here.”
“There will be a tournament in half a month for you kids that don’t have a Spirit Ring yet.”
“Although it isn’t a lot of time, I will help you girls get some foundation to win the competition.”
The eyes of the girls lit up, “A tournament? What is the prize?”
“The prize will be announced at the tournament. However, believe me, when I say this, you will definitely want the grand prize.”
Wulin mysteriously shook his finger in front of their faces.
“Now, let us get started on the training. Put these on your back and run laps around the courtyard.”
Wulin pulled a pair of straw baskets from his Immortal Realm and put two rocks in them, giving the girls an extra kilogram to carry.
“Do not use any Spirit Power to assist yourself. You must run with only your physical strength.”
The girls picked up the baskets and put it over their backs, taking a feel of the weight.
“It isn’t that heavy. I carried things like this when I helped Daddy on the farm.”
Little Niu said brightly and hopped up and down to show that she was comfortable with the weight.
However, Wulin only smiled, “You are fine for now. However, once you start running, you will feel it a lot more.”
Afterwards, he looked at Pachong. More specifically, he looked at the long tail that would often tangle her feet.
He took some rope from the immortal realm and picked up Pachong’s tail, causing her to blush a little.
It was smooth and scaly. Wulin could tell the scales were quite dense as well, like tiny armour plates.
Wulin poked a little hole at the top of the basket and tied the rope around a spiky groove on her tail with the basket.
This way, her tail would be suspended in the air and not always tangling with her feet.
After sending the two of them on their way, Wulin sat under a shady tree and began contemplating his next moves.
Wulin realised that from now on, or rather much earlier before, Wulin shouldn’t be using his memory of the novel to predict the future actions of Spirit Hall.
Just like the event of Chen Xin leaving, it is likely that the situation in Spirit Hall is continuously changing.
Wulin had no way of knowing what kind of changes they are making and how it affects him.
Spirit Hall was such a humongous organisation with many Titled Douluo’s whereas Wulin was only a Spirit King.
Not only that, but he had five critical weaknesses in the form of his beloved women.
He couldn’t feel safe at all when he thought about Spirit Hall. They loomed over him like a guillotine.
Wulin began to recall any Spirit Hall emissaries that know of him, which is probably only Bishop Salas and Qian Renxue.
Now that he has exposed his terrifying strength and talent in the Spirit Master Competition, he can assume Bibi Dong and the Elders Palace know about him.
“It was impossible to lie about our age in the registration, so they are probably going insane right now.”
Wulin sighed and leaned against the trunk of the tree, wondering if it was the right idea to reveal himself.
“What’s more, Rong Rong’s Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda is also revealed. She is probably at the top of the hit list right now.”
No doubt, Spirit Hall will be anxious to get rid of Rong Rong as she will be incredibly powerful even before becoming a Titled Douluo.
And if she were allowed to grow into a Titled Douluo, then they could throw away any thoughts of harming her.
Wulin was sure similar thoughts were going through the head of Bibi Dong and the rest of Spirit Hall.
He knew if he were Spirit Hall, he wouldn’t allow any of them the time to grow into a threat.
Every day passed was another day that the threat grew stronger.
However, Spirit Hall is a giant existence with the pride of being unmatched, while Wulin and Rong Rong were still insignificant in their eyes.
They also had their reputation to worry about, so they couldn’t go around openly slaughtering young people.
“Phew… The Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan is still safe because they think Grandpa Sword is still here.”
“Now, it just depends on who they plan to send to kill us…”
Wulin was confident that they sent someone to kill him and the others. They showed no signs of wanting to join Spirit Hall, and half of them come from the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.
Spirit Hall would never leave the genius’ of opposing forces to grow without a fight.
Wulin wondered what kind of Spirit Master will try to assassinate them, a Titled Douluo or a Spirit Douluo?
He also wondered if it was Bibi Dong or the Elder’s Palace that sent the order. If it was Bibi Dong, she might not be able to move Titled Douluo’s.
After all, every Titled Douluo was a prideful person, and this pride only rose with each rank they cultivate.
Regardless, Wulin decided that Spirit Hall likely wouldn’t send a Titled Douluo to get rid of them.
Wulin and Rong Rong were too young to be a threat to them right now, so using a Spirit Douluo should be more than enough.
Also, if they fail, they still have plenty of time to send a Titled Douluo to finish the job.
Since Wulin believed that a Spirit Douluo would be trying to assassinate them, he would bring it up with Gu Rong and Ning Fengzhi to get rid of the assassin.
Wulin looked up and saw Little Niu and Pachong running to him.
Sweat had already perspired on their foreheads, and they were noticeably slower than when they started.
“Keep going, girls. A strong body is essential to becoming a great Spirit Master.”
Wulin cheered them on lightly as they ran by. It was the same training that Yu Xiao Gang gave them not long ago.
However, Little Niu and Pachong were only six years old, so he had to be careful when he trained them.
A little bit of training can help them grow at an accelerated rate and become like Wulin and the others, looking a couple of years more developed.
On the other hand, too much training and they could end up with stunted growths, and grow to around Little Jing’s height before stopping.
…
More than half an hour passed by as Little Niu and Pachong struggled to run laps around their courtyard.
Finally, Wulin stopped them and took the baskets off of them before handing them a cup of water.
“Rest for a little while then have a bath while I cook some food. You girls need proper nutrition to grow.”
The girls snatched the cups of water from Wulin and desperately gulped it down before collapsing on the floor, panting.

*Sniff… Sniff*
“…! What is this smell!”
Pachong was slowly recovering her strength when a heavenly aroma suddenly assailed her nose.
The aroma was so tantalising that it gave the exhausted Pachong the energy to sit up in an instant.
The scent soon also reached Little Niu, and she too sat up hurriedly, “Wow! Something smells so good!”
She looked to Pachong and asked, “Do you think it is something Master is cooking?”
“Let’s go and check!” Pachong got up, and her tail was eagerly slapping the ground.
The two girls ran into the courtyard to see a full dining table set on their ground.
Beside it, Wulin was cooking some things in a firepit he made.
The girls almost drooled once they were in closer proximity to the aroma of the food.
Wulin saw them approaching unconsciously and scolded, “Go and have a bath first, or you don’t get to eat!”
Little Niu and Pachong stopped in their tracks before scampering into the house to have a bath.
By the time they finished, Wulin already filled the table with plenty of food.
“Come and eat. If you don’t replenish your body with food, then all the training would be for nothing.”
Wulin gestured for them to sit down and eat. They didn’t need a second invitation as they leapt into their chairs and began gulping down food like vacuums.
“Good, don’t forget to have vegetables as well. By the way, we will begin combat training in the afternoon.” Wulin said with a smile.
…
Little Niu and Pachong froze “…There is still more training?”.
