Dragon God Resurrection - Chapter 5
Marr inspected the room with his eyes and pondered for a while as he said.
“Fine, we will accept this mission. But we will need more information about the generals.”
The Aarakocra closed the door of the room as he indicated for them to follow him. They went back to the dining room, he grabbed a small chest from under the table and gave it to Marr.
“Here is all the information we have on them. You can take this chest, there is some money for supply’s and other necessities inside.”
While Marr’s inspected the chest with his friend, the Aarakocra slowly retreated to the door, as he looked at them and said.
“I’m very sorry about this, but I need to make sure you can deal with this task.”
Suddenly all the doors leading to the room closed with a loud bang, in the middle of the room, a teleportation circle summoned a huge armor, similar to the ones who attended to them, except that this one was headless.
Dayer inspected his surroundings looking for an exit as he cursed the Aarakocra out loud.
“This fucking overgrown bird! He Is just screwing with us!”
Marr looked quite calm, he inspected the enemy in front of them as he said.
“Calm down Dayer, we just need to defeat that oversized piece of metal!”
Dayer took out his daggers as he said.
“Fine, let’s deal with this first! But we will make some bird chow mien after this.”
Merrich just stayed silent as if waiting for Marr to make a move.
Marr took of the Jennu Ariiogarurt from his back and pounced straight at the giant armor. As he got in front of the giant armor, Merrich knowing what to do got behind Marr’s using him as cover.
Marr swung his two-handed axe with such a force that the air buzzed, he struck the armor in its left arm. The armor seemed enraged, it raised its enormous fists and prepared to swing them at Marr’s direction.
At that moment, Dayer disappeared from where he was, and appeared right next to the armor, making it lose focus and attack him. Merrich suddenly jumped from behind Marr’s as he took the opportunity of the armor’s abrupt change of target, to shoot an arrow straight into one of the gaps in the armor’s foot. The attack hit making the armor lose its stability.
While the armor recovered from the attack Marr moved toward Dayer. He pushed the Eladrin to the left making him be positioned exactly behind the armor then he swung his huge axe at the armor’s left arm destroying it.
Dayer finally attacked the armor by striking the armor’s waist with his dagger and twisting It, the attack badly deformed that region of the creature.
The armor taking such a big amount of damage in such a little time, swung its arm in an arc trying to hit Marr and Dayer.
Marr used the force of the attack to push himself back, and Dayer disappeared, reappearing again a few meters away from the armor.
When the armor saw it couldn’t cause significant damage to Marr, it again tried to attack him with all its force as the Dragonborn was the closest one to him.
Suddenly Marr’s chest swelled up as he said a draconic incantation and a blinding light with blue lighting arcs coursing through it came out of his mouth, Striking the armor in the chest.
“Shochraos Trekis.”
As the armor got hit, it flew across the room and fell to pieces. When the armor got defeated the doors to the room opened again. Three walking armors came into the room, one of them got close to the three friends and respectfully indicated the door, while the other two swiped the big armor away while shaking their heads.
Suddenly the familiar voice of general Raven sounded out from everywhere in the house.
“I’m very pleased with your combat ability and coordination. I apologize again for this test, but I must make sure you can take care of this mission.”
The voice sighed as if some heavy weight had been taken off his mind.
“The importance of this assignment is too big, you must not fail. There will be three thousand gold coins in the exit for your troubles.”
As the voice stopped talking, the armor urged the friends to get out.
Dayer cursed the bird once again.
“This freaking bird is getting on my nerves.”
The armor guided them all the way back to the front gate and gave them three pouches. After the three friends received the money, the armor went back in. It waved them goodbye as the gates slowly closed again.
When they got out they realized that despite being in the house for over three hours, time outside seemed to not have changed at all.
They divided the money and went back to the tavern, they would get together in the morning and get the information in order while sharing whatever they knew.
When they got there, they all went their separate ways. Dayer went to play poker at a table, while Merrich played the lute in the tavern’s stage, Marr went to the brawlers in the corner and fought.
As Marr fought with the person in front of him, he relived everything that happened during the day, trying to remember every detail about it and reconstructing the things that happened in his mind. After doing that, he remembered something that happened long ago at the clan when he was just 15 years old.
—————————–
He saw his father brawling in one of the clan’s training camp with the soldiers. There were many soldiers there, watching the fight between his father and the other Dragonborn. After they finished they shook hands, and his father went to grab a towel so he could dry the sweat out of his face.
Marr’s went up to his father and asked.
“Why do you fight with the soldier’s father?”
Daardeth looked at his son as he laughed out loud.
“Bwahahahahaha.”
“Well son, through my years of experience I have found this to be the best way to clear up my head!”
The old Dragonborn patted his son strongly in the back and went back to the brawl.

The other day early in the morning the three friends were eating breakfast as they talked about the document’s inside the chest and the knowledge each of them previously had.
As they sorted everything out, they had a general description of each leader, their names and what they were in charge of. They also knew that a flaming green dagger was the symbol of the rebellion.
Marr looked at the pile of documents as he ate some bread.
“This is a good start, the only problem is that despite knowing who they are, we have no idea where to look for them.”
Dayer was drinking some milk and eating cheese as he finished reading one of the documents.
“There aren’t many ports in the kingdom, maybe we can start there.”
As Merrich heard the Eladrin’s idea, he grabbed a piece of ham as he said.
“I think I know where to start.”
