Dream Life - 474 Episode XIV
The study of the prosthetic hand with Professor Lionel Raspade went some way, and the prospect of being able to move the five fingers stood. I haven’t gotten to completion because I still have ideas in the details, but my teacher is more motivated than usual to say, “This is interesting,” and my turn is almost gone.
Professor Kitley Erbain’s research, but this one’s totally stuck. Not that there was any harvest at all, but only to the extent that Jilsol was the key.
One of the new things that I have learned in the past month is the relationship between Lucio Brillare, founder of Light Divinity, and Gilsall Island.
Brillare is visiting the island of Gilsall after he has been interested in light theism. And before and after that, I realized that the doctrine of phototheism had changed dramatically.
Specifically, before the visit to Gilsall, the God of Light (Lucidus) was the only God, and the other gods were treated as angels, including the God of Darkness (Noctis). But on the border when he returns from Jilsol, Noctis becomes treated as an evil god.
Furthermore, the treatment of the Creating God (Creatore), which until then had been the Angel Head, has become equivalent to that of the other gods, and almost no longer appears in Brillale’s theories.
I had confirmed this to an elf researcher who knew about it at the time, and the researcher had also written in a letter, “I now think he changed dramatically before and after the visit to Jilsol”.
There is extremely little literature about Brillare’s visit to Zirsole, and there is not enough record to think that there was no fact of the visit. I suspect that Phototheism is trying to cover up the facts.
It’s subtle if you can tell by going to Jilsol about this, but I hope at least following in his footsteps will reveal one end of that mystery.
The other thing I found out is that the Temple of Claretore has not dared to spread its faith.
There are twelve pillar temples of God, including Creator, in major cities such as Imperial Primes and Aurelia. However, when it comes to the core urban classes of the region, the Temple of Creatore will not be built, and the temples of the big cities are also extremely small compared to those of other gods.
Also, each of the eleven gods has a “favor”. Man’s god Wita is love, tree god Albor is abundant, gold god Fellum is blacksmith, etc.
But there’s nothing in Creator that said that. For this reason, few people go to the temple to worship, and they are always idle.
We need the ability to collect money in order to maintain a temple or a denomination, and for that, we’d better have a profit. But it is enough to say that the officials of the Temple of Claretore are as indifferent and dare not stand out as if they were not interested in money.
Given that, it is not surprising to think that there is some kind of secret in the “temple of beginnings” on the island of Gilsall, the total former tightening of the Temple of Creatore.
“I knew I had to go to Jill Sole,” Mr. Kitley said zero.
“Hopefully, I’d like to keep you in the Australis Sea before it gets rough in the middle of the winter. I’d like you to come, too. What do you say?
The Vest Sea has strong westerly winds in winter in the sea west of the continent of Tria, making it difficult to travel by sailboat. The Australis Sea is a warm sea to the east from the Sole Peninsula, home to the Holy King of Lukes, and is mild even in winter.
“There’s not much I can do to help with Dr. Raspade’s research already, and going is not a problem in itself…”
“You’re worried that the current information alone won’t tell you how many months it’ll take.”
As Ms Kitley pointed out, the problem was that there was no prospect of how long it would take.
I know there is a hint in the Temple of the Creating God (Creatore) of Gilsall, but I don’t know to what extent that is and the secrets will be revealed just because they have gone.
But this was discussed many times with Liddy and the others, who had come to the conclusion that we should go to Jilsall.
“Right. But if there’s no progress here, you should go. When do you want to leave?
“I’ve canceled all my lectures for this and next year, so I can leave at any time. Even so, since I’m ready, it will be in September.”
“I’d also like to see the entrance ceremony for the kids in our village, so what do you say we leave on September 2nd?
All the children who came from the village of Rasmore to take the exam passed the school of choice with excellent grades. Especially healer Jeffrey’s son Nick has passed the Tilia School of Magic in chief.
Then let’s get ready.
It is about five hundred kilometers from here in Doctus to Aurelia, where the port is located. If you’re traveling on a ride, you can travel in about twenty days.
And more than 3,000 km by sea from Aurelia to Gilsor. It takes about sixty days on a standard voyage.
If I have a lot of luggage, I need to use a carriage. And if we put the carriage on the ship, we’ll have to pay a lot of fares. For this reason, it was necessary to carefully select the baggage.
In our case, there is storage magic (inventory), so you don’t have to limit what you take, but you can’t still use your hands, so you need to choose what to put in the trunk for long trips.
Not so much removal, but time quickly passed when I was packing up and further telling Dr. Raspade and Rhinoceros to leave for a while.
September 1.
There will be an admission ceremony for the Tilia School of Magic. I’m in the kinship for Nick. Not surprisingly, he was the son of a lord who was also a sponsor, but as for the college side, he wanted to be seated in the guest table. For this reason, the Dean of the College is appearing in direct negotiations.
“Advisor Worgman has also asked me to greet you as a guest…”
“I’m not in the guild position, I’m just the second son of the Imperial Viscount.”
“Do something about it,” he worships down, but he refuses because it’s a hassle.
Before the entrance ceremony began, the people who noticed me came to say hello.
“It is an honor to meet the famous Sir Zacharias,” he asked to shake his hand, but he sought connections with the blacksmith’s guild and the elders of the Empire.
By the time the ceremony begins, it will just settle down.
Nick greeted him with dignity as the freshman’s representative.
“Become a part of today’s flourishing Tilia School of Magic… it is the best thing that has ever happened in my life… I aspire to be a fine college student like my predecessors… I hereby declare that I will be a fine magician under the guidance of my teachers from now on…”
If you think you’ve heard it somewhere, it was a complete pack of my greetings.
I was consulted by Nick a few days ago, so I told him, “You just have to show me your old greeting and connect appropriately,” but I didn’t think he’d make a complete copy of mine.
After the admissions ceremony, I asked him to talk.
“Officials have taught me that it has become customary for me to use Master Zach’s greeting words for the last five years or so. I’m just glad I can’t make such a cool greeting.”
And they say it with a refreshing smile.
It seems like a freshman who wants to impress me with anything started it.
“Well, it was a grand and good greeting in any case. Keep up the good work,” but it feels complicated inside.
By the way, they keep using the word when they graduate just because the unique noun can be changed from my next year.
Liddy and the others are at the school entrance ceremony. I tried to go as far as possible, too, and blessed the kids.
September 2.
Rent a horse in the Adventurer’s Guild and set off for the west.
Six of us added Mr. Kitley to the five of us, but he looks like he gets attention everywhere in a harem state full of old women.
“I hope he doesn’t get involved,” I say, and Beatrice laughs, “There’s no one to get involved with us.”
“That’s right. I think it’s okay because we’re pretty well known as second-degree adventurers. We can do anything if we get involved in it.”
Mel says it with a smile, too, but surely anything is enough to get entangled in a chimp.
We are not to mention, Mr. Kitley is a high level magician, and he has extensive combat experience in the woods. If you’re an adventurer, you’ve got plenty of strength in the fourth class.
That Mr. Kitley, but he had quite a lot of luggage. Two large leather trunks and an inflated backpack. The trunk is packed with literature and heavier than it looks.
“I was pretty worried and narrowed it down, but I didn’t make it any less…”
Some of the important literature contemplates dirt, etc., and puts it in my inventory, but basically carries it on horses.
“I wish I was with you until I left, because in my case I could spend years…”
I was often immersed in research on a year-by-year basis because I was an elf, and I also looked at breaking up with us and acting.
For this reason, I am renting a replacement horse and luggage horse.
We continue down the streets of Aurelia, where the remaining heat is severe, but there was no major trouble.
Even so, there have been several demonic raids, and I have helped the merchants who are being attacked by bandits. I just never felt threatened enough to feel like my life was in danger.
September 25th.
Around 3 p.m., we arrived safely in the commercial city of Aurelia.
Aurelia is a fortified city surrounded by walls about ten metres high, but a large city several times the size of a standard fortified city.
Originally a naturally occurring trading city because it was equipped with a natural good harbor, the Caerm Empire paid attention to it and built a fortified city as a northern invasion base. The Empire was shipping troops and supplies from the south and sending troops east from here.
Merchants gathered further against the Imperial Army, which became the home of a commercial guild, but could no longer be used as a maritime transport route for the army because of the creation of the Holy King Luke, which is now a complete commercial city.
This story, actually, has a back.
We’re talking about a commercial guild getting Aurelia, aiding Light Divinity and letting Luke’s Holy Kingdom build and losing its value as Aulera’s military base.
It is true that it is easier to use sea routes to get to the Kingdom of Lax, but it is not possible to travel without replenishment. If supplies cannot be supplied at the port of Luke’s Holy King, the enemy country, the route of invasion of Lax will be restricted to routes using the central and northern streets. This makes Aurelia almost worthless as a military port.
The castle gates of Aurelia are always open and do not require the necessary entry taxes in other castle cities. This is to enliven commerce. However, Orb confirmation is carried out in order to deter the crime.
“Welcome to Aurelia,” the guard of the gate greets with a smile, but there was tension on its face.
My orb belongs to the Adventurer Alliance. It is probably because it is very rare for a secondary adventurer, a superior adventurer, to appear in Aurelia, where the mercenary regiment regularly carries out demonic crusades.
Once inside the city, gray stone buildings line up just like standard fortified cities, but there are cluttered open shops at both ends of the road, with a constant hanging of prestigious sounds.
“It’s the sweetness of the imperial primus we’re talking about! Genius, Sir Zacharias invented the gelato! We’re the only ones selling around here!
I heard of Gelato and took a peek, but it wasn’t a branch of the Robbins Chamber of Commerce, it was a store I had no idea of. I don’t have much variety, and it doesn’t look very tasty.
“I can’t believe I heard your name here,” Mr. Kitley teases me.
I just have to laugh bitterly at that word.
“That’s a lot of people. It looks like you should secure the inn early,” Beatrice suggests.
“Right. Perhaps we should take an inn near the Deodard Chamber of Commerce. You know where it is.”
Liddy’s been asking, but of course I’m looking into it.
“They say it’s in the middle of the West End. There must have been a lot of inns for travellers…”
The West End is sometimes close to the harbor and many dealers connect shops. Unlike the East End, which is also downtown, there was calm like an office district.
Checking into a pre-researched inn and returning the horse to the Adventurer Guild.
The horse will no longer be needed because the journey is by boat.
I go to the Adventurers Guild with Beatrice. She has better veteran piercing locks and is easier to avoid useless trouble.
the Aurelia branch of its Adventurer Guild, but it was in the North District a little further away. Because there are many rural areas in the north that feed the city of Aurelia, it seems, to crusade the demons that strike that rural area.
Apparently, the mercenary regiments arranged by the city of Aurelia regularly hunt demons, but they have a certain number of requests to crusade demons attacking the countryside because they can’t crusade all the demons that pour in.
When I return the horse, I show the orb to the male staff at the reception, and they say, “Is that a second level! surprised,” but immediately returned to me, “I’m sorry. This is the first time I’ve seen it……” I bow my head wide with one evil looking face.
“I need you to tell me something…”
Ask the official about the security situation and rumours in the city of Aurelia.
“Security is no different than usual. Well, the northern villages are attacked several times a year, but there’s no story of powerful demons like you all dealing with them… rumors? Right…”
I talked to the staff for about five minutes, but there was no significant information.
Beatrice had talked to young adventurers elsewhere, but this one was the same.
Back at the inn, it was after 6: 00 p.m. After removing his gear and heading to the dining room and ordering a meal, he discussed the future.
“I knew you were looking for something other than the Deodard Chamber of Commerce?,” Liddy asked first.
“I’m going to look for something else for once. If you’re unlucky enough to have many ships, you’ll be stuck for months.”
However, from what I’ve looked into in Doctus, nothing seemed more conditional than the Deodard Chamber of Commerce.
“You’re gonna show your face to the Blacksmith Guild.”
“Oh, because I want to hear a lot about Zamuel, too. Besides, some Gerhardts have fled Lukes…”
Zamuel Obitz is the Director of the Aurelia Branch. I’ve been a branch manager for years, so I have a handout in my commercial guild.
Gerhard Hack is a former Paxlumen branch chief, who arrived here in Aurelia when the Dwarf blacksmiths left the Holy Kingdoms by the Lockhart family heretical certification incident ten years ago, and has lived there since.
It would be helpful to hear a lot from those two, and first of all, I feel somewhat lacking in brother-in-law that I visited this town and didn’t banquet with the blacksmiths.
