Dream Life - 500 Episode Forty
Arriving in Ars, we were at the general headquarters of the Blacksmith Guild.
At the Golden Floor (Anvil) Pavilion, a boarding house, we hear about Luna’s visit to Ars about two months ago, and about the Blacksmith Guild’s hiring of the world’s most powerful mercenary regiment, the Markat Mercenaries (Red Arms), as her escort.
He then came to the master craftsman’s office because of a message from Ulrich Drexler, the master craftsman.
Inside the headquarters were staff running to prepare for the banquet, but it was just quiet near the master craftsman’s office.
Inside, in addition to three Dwarves: Ulrich Drexler, Gaelnote Graver and Oigen Hauser, a man of great human importance and an elf honor awaited.
The Dwarves have the jocks in their hands, but the other two jocks remain on the table.
We’ll have a jock ready, too.
“You’ve come a lot,” Ulrich says, hoisting a jock in his hand.
“Here’s to reuniting with friends! Sieg Scotch!,” Gaelnote and Oigen similarly jock and chant.
We’ll put up a jock and toast, too, but I’ll be complaining right away, “Isn’t it from introducing ourselves first?”
“That’s right. I felt like I was familiar with both of them because they were famous,” Ulrich laughed bitterly.
“It’s Lord Hamish Markat and his deputy, Alberic Auger,” he introduces.
“I’m Zacharias Lockhart. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Saying so and offering his right hand, Hamish immediately shakes his hand back.
“I’m Hamish Markat. I’ve heard rumors.”
I know I’m the second son of the Imperial Viscount family, and I’ve spoken respectfully. Perhaps because of their association with the nobility of the Kingdom of Lax, but the leading mercenaries in this world are far from unreliable images.
“I’m a young man, and when I say aristocrat, I’m just the second son of a house made up. You can always use the same tone.”
“It would help if you could say that,” Hamish laughed.
Afterwards, Alberic and I also exchanged greetings and introduced the Liddies, Ulrich gets to the point.
“I think I already know about you, but I’m asking Lord Hamish to escort Luna.”
“I just heard it at the inn. It must be to make it easier for Lord Hamish and his men to move in the Empire.”
With that said, I’ll complain with my eyes about how far the Ulrich and Hamish know. You noticed that, you nodded small,
“For Nong et al, Luna is the same as her granddaughter. Naturally, I hear a lot about it. And Lord Hamish, but also has a deep relationship with Ray Arklight, the” White Army Master “who helped Luna. Ray is the fiancée of Ashley, his son, and Lord Hamish is believed to be his successor. So I know where the Lunas are headed and what to fight”
“Got it. By the way, where was Luna headed? Is it still Jill Saul?
“I didn’t think you knew,” I’m surprised at my words.
“I’ve been traveling with Doctus, Aurelia, and Zilsall for about a year now. I’ve heard so much about the Periclitle offensive, but I barely know anything about Luna.”
I actually get some information from God, but I can’t talk to him on this occasion, so that’s how I’m going to fix it.
“Well… what have you been doing to Jill Saul?
“I helped Professor Erbain, a mentor. I was investigating the Temple of the Creator.”
So Hamish is impressed, he raises his voice, “Wow.”
“The Rays are also on their way to the Temple of Beginning, but what does that have to do with it”
I feel uncomfortable being questioned with a sharp gaze. That’s more than a hundred fierce men.
“You can’t just talk to them on this occasion, as you can imagine.”
“So you can think it’s going to work, huh?
“I don’t know that. Because it’s up to them.”
This is my honest thoughts. The truth is, I don’t know what the gods are going to do. However, if the two summoned by the gods were to enter the Temple of Creatore, they should be able to get some support.
You convinced me of my word, the pressure went away.
“What are we going to do next? Don’t you have something to think about?
I don’t know how to answer that question.
I want you to go to the meadows and master the Humane Horse (Centaur) tribe, because you could be misled in situations where you don’t know what kind of trust is going down on the Lunas.
“To be honest, I think we have to leave it to Lord Arklight and Luna”
“In your letter from Ray and Al’s story, you were prepared for a lot of things, weren’t you? So, isn’t there a star or something? I’m not good at thinking. I’d like to hear your thoughts, if I may.”
“You’re right, I’m ready for a lot. But I don’t think it’s going to work unless they think for themselves and deal with it. That’s why we’re aiming for the Temple of Beginnings…”
So once I cut the word, I see Hamish’s expression, but he doesn’t look very convinced.
“… there’s only one thing I can say”
“What’s that?
“If they accomplish what is in Zirsole, there must be a guide for the gods. Why not be hit by nature”
“You sure did,” Hamish convinced him.
Afterwards, it turns away from the bitter atmosphere it has had, and thrives on events on previous journeys and distillery stories.
Ulrich and the others in particular get excited about the distillery they plan to make in Zirsole and Corn Whiskey in Netherton.
“You can’t imagine what booze is… when you can!
Gaelic notes come stuffed,
“It’s hard if you can’t handle the war. Because the Deodard Chamber of Commerce can’t leave the ship in the present situation. And I need time for the Aurelia Branch to raise the craftsmen. You won’t be able to wait five years.”
“In five years…” Gaelnote is discouraged.
“Alcohol isn’t something you can do overnight. At the distillery along the Slay River, you know that.”
“I don’t know…”
“Is there anything we can do,” Oigen asks.
“This is a matter for the Aurelia Branch and the Deodard Chamber of Commerce. They have priority, so watch over them.”
Talking about that, Hamish and the others who should have been talking to Beatrice and Mel were circling their eyes.
“You really like alcohol,” Alberic said, while Hamish nodded at it, too.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Ulrich lords talk so much fun. That’s what I admire about being just called the son of a liquor god.”
He says he’s impressed, but I guess more than half of them are frightened.
We are contacted that the banquet is ready and we all head to the assembly room.
“Look forward to today. I have six years of Slayside stuff for you. It’s not even close to Lord Scott’s liquor, but it’s quite done.”
Distilleries along the Slay River have expanded year after year and have begun to circulate in Ars mainly for three years. Six years is the most mature.
When we entered the assembly room, three hundred Dwarves greeted us.
“” Well done for coming! Sieg Scotch!
The banquet begins with a greeting from Ulrich.
“Zach and the others are here. Cheers to our friend! Sieg Scotch!
“” “Sieg Scotch!
The banquet began with a toast chant from the Dwarves.
In addition to Hamish and Alberic, the banquet is attended by Gareth Ayling and other captain classes from Red Arms Most Squad. I exchange words with Valeria, Hamish’s wife, but I felt it was a more cheerful group than I thought.
I’m also talking to Liddy and the others about that. Beatrice, in particular, had heard rumors of Hamish since she was younger, and she was surprised “I thought it felt stiffer,” she said.
“That’s what it was like to ask Mr. Gideon,” Mel also agrees with her words.
You heard the story, Hamish has joined the story.
“What did you hear from Kensei?
“Unlike myself, you said the Mercenaries (Red Arms) are serious people.”
When Mel answers that, Hamish shakes his neck small and sideways with a frightened look.
“Well, I’d be in trouble if they put me with Kensei…”
Gideon Dyer, known as Swordmaster, is heterogeneous as a mercenary.
Regular mercenaries often undertake tasks such as escorting merchants and assisting the army.
In that case, he has to act in accordance with his employer’s intentions, but in Gideon’s case, when he gets hot in the fight, he forgets about the mission and becomes immersed in the fight. For this reason, the Dier Mercenary Corps exerts tremendous power in combat, but was not very highly regarded.
In that regard, the Red Arms has an excellent reputation.
Endure the tyranny of the incompetent commanders of the Knights and complete their task even in overwhelmingly unfavourable circumstances. The most striking example of this would be the Battle of Millis Valley.
The Battle of Millis Valley was caused by a frightened commander who tried to escape by throwing the Red Arms and parts of the Knights into stone. As is often the case if that is all, the Millis Valley is a strategically very important place, where the eastern part of the Kingdom of Lax would have been ravaged by demonic armies if it had not stopped.
Understanding that, I risked my life to protect it. Other mercenary regiments would have retreated to life-saving, and no one should have been able to blame them for the overwhelming difference in power between three thousand and two hundred.
Still, I thought it was a more stoic group because I challenged the fight to fulfill my mission of protecting my country.
“We’re not as serious as he says either. Hey, Al?
Alberic, who was told the story, said, “That’s right. You’ll see when you see me,” he laughs.
If you do look at this floating elf, you know perfectly well that it’s not just a serious group.
Where the banquet came to life, Ulrich rose.
“I’ll have Zach drink the non la liquor, the slayside scotch!
With that word, the assembly room quietly returns.
Alliance official and head of the Slayside distillery, Jack Harper, brought a glass for tasting.
“This is the best Slayside Scotch the craftsmen and blacksmiths have chosen. Let me know what you think.”
That’s how I handed you the glass.
Receive the glass and check the color first.
It feels lighter than amber for six years and looks like a yellow crystal (citrine).
When you smell the aroma, the sweetness and aroma of the malt and the complex aroma of the oak barrel tickle the nasal cavity.
“That smells good. Is Pete weak… yeah? That’s a little different than a regular oak barrel…”
“Do you understand…” Ulrich is surprised.
“The scent quality is different. Is that the orc around here? I don’t think it’s the same as the” oak “we use.”
Jack answers my question with a surprise look.
“We used a lot of oak south of the Kelsas Mountains. The barrel maker told me it was a tree that barely grew near the Aquila Mountains.”
I slowly mouth it, listening to that explanation.
First, after alcohol irritation comes to my lips, I feel something like tingling spiciness. The malt (malt) that I felt when I smelled it on my tongue comes. It has no fragrance, but a soggy tongue.
Then the scent spreads like a white flower sweet and then feels stiff.
“I’m still young, but this scent is good. It’s a lot of distillation… I feel stiff because the flavor hasn’t matured yet, but after ten or twenty years, I feel that the sweetness of the fruit of the South will emerge… I think I’m putting it to sleep in a large barrel?
Jack was desperately taking note of my comment,
“Exactly. I usually use a Hogshead barrel, but this time I use a double size bat barrel”
“So, how about that! Nona’s Scotch!,” screams the hurried Gaelnote.
The other Dwarves were complaining with their eyes to share their thoughts quickly.
“It’s my favorite scent. For strong alcohol (alcohol), the sweet fragrance is still weak, but the refreshing fragrance like the scent of flowers is excellent… the flavour is also still too young. But fruity sweetness hides in the roughness. You should put him to bed for at least six more years and serve him as a twelve year thing. Probably comparable to Scott’s liquor.”
“” “Ooh!” “and the roar of the Dwarves echoes in the assembly room.
We had earplugs as usual so we didn’t get damaged, but Hamish and the others poked their knees, blocked their ears and were stuffy.
I know you did something wrong, but I didn’t think I’d be happier either, but I was thinking that the joyous voices of the Dwarves, who had their knees poked by what is said to be the strongest first-degree mercenary, were in a way awesome and out of place.
Calm down in about a minute and list the tasting glass Ulrich had in his hand at some point wondering “is that much?”
“Oh, the scent of this oak barrel definitely turns. I can assure you. More than that, I’d like you to send this barrel to my village…”
“Zach assured me! Sieg Scotch!
Ulrich had ignored me and raised a shout of joy.
I was just settling down again, and Hamish was talking to me.
“Is it always like this…”
The expression is missing from his face, and he feels confused. I couldn’t help but notice the smile on that look. Because this fierce man never gets this look first.
“That’s not true, but I guess I’m in a better mood today than usual because I’m here. Why don’t you try Mr. Hamish, too? You may still be young and hard to drink, but I think you can be surprised”
Say, “Oh,” and grab the glass the official brought.
Slowly mouth the glass like I did and drink it to lick it.
“It smells like flowers, but I have no idea. The taste only makes my tongue burn… I only know that Lord Zacharias is the son of the alcoholic god…”
Alberic drinks the same but is tilting his neck,
“It’s not like the Zack collection, is it? Which is better? I’ve heard.”
“The Zack collection has been in bed for over eight years, so it’s easier to drink than this. Which is a tough question to ask. By analogy, it’s just as troubling to be asked whether black or white beer tastes better.”
We used to talk about that, and we were able to crack it down with key members of the Red Arms.
Thanks to this, I succeed in installing the promise to have the archery put on the next day.
The Hamish are scheduled to stay in Ars until the day after tomorrow to get geared up, because they still had time tomorrow morning.
This led to Fortis’ Gideon being blessed with the good fortune of being handled by two first-degree mercenaries in just over a month.
