Dream Life - 510 Episode Fifty: Wine Festival: Part Four
The cocktail offering was finished and I tried to get off the stage as it was, but Queen Katrina can stop me.
“Something you haven’t forgotten?
I know what you’re trying to say, but I’m like, “Is that what you’re forgetting?,” he asks back in vain.
“I’d like you to name the Netherton and Fortis drinks. It’s inconvenient not to have a name for a new drink.”
When the story of the Dwarf Festival came out in June, the Queen made such a suggestion.
“Sure it’s inconvenient, but don’t I have to put it on? I think we should give our liquor a name we like.”
To be honest, I couldn’t come up with a good name, so I was going to do something about it.
“Both craftsmen would like to have it attached to the Lockhart family. I think we should take care of him till the end when we get here.”
In the queen’s words, “Right!,” says Dwarf.
Looking around, my gaze is focused on me and I give up that I can’t run away like that.
“Please give me a moment,” he said, after the scene.
To be honest, Netherton’s corn whiskey seems to work out, but all I could think of was a painful name for Fortis potato distilled liquor.
The reason for this is that Netherton is struggling with the head of the distillery, but Fortis has no major problems and is not meritorious enough to name those involved in the distillery.
(I don’t know what to do… it’s too heterogeneous to the words of this world in Uocca… I still have to be that one…)
Summarizing my thoughts, I head under my father.
“I thought of the names of Netherton and Fortis liquor……” he explains to his father.
“I see. Well, I don’t know what that means, and you’ll accept it. So, should I make an announcement?
“Your father made an announcement, and I’m going to explain what it means. I don’t think I’m going to get backlash, but honestly I was wondering if I was more appropriate because I’m subtle.”
After a brief meeting with my father, I return to the stage.
Many had already returned to their compartments, so they decided not to make an announcement on this occasion, but in front of the respective compartments of Netherton and Fortis.
When I tell him about it, the Dwarves follow him around with a jock, wondering what his name is.
We arrived at the compartment assigned to the Netherton branch.
I found Carl Krutz, Branch Manager, and said, “Can I name Netherton’s liquor?” Just in case.
“Of course not! Somebody call Bertram! They say the Lockhart family will give you a name!
A guild official, Bertram, the head of the distillery, was pulled by a blacksmith.
“Can you give me a name,” I asked with an incredible face.
“Oh, I don’t know if anyone can convince me,” he replies, turning to his father, “Please,” he tells him.
When my father answered, “Okay,” he stood in front of Carl and Bertram,
“Then I will give my name to the distilled liquor of Netherton’s corn!
So cut the words once. The surrounding area calmed down to take a breath.
My father gave his name in a loud voice he worked out on the battlefield.
“Netherton’s liquor is called“ Burvon ”!
His name was given, but he remained quiet.
That’s where I first explain the origin of my name.
“Bertram is the biggest credit for this one. But he couldn’t accomplish it alone. Without the Vaughn Distillery craftsmen. We named it Bertram Vaughn, but it’s hard to call it. So I decided to shrink to” barvon “for ease of calling.”
Ask why, Bertram opens his eyes. And he starts to tremble with a mess.
“My name…”
“That’s right. I used corn, even an unknown ingredient for me, to create something so far. Its achievements are no worse than those of the Scots. Carl, how’s this name?
That’s what I say. I send Carl my gaze.
“Wonderful name! There can’t be any difference in Nong! Sieg Scotch! Sieg Barvon!”
The Dwarves of the Netherton branch also put up a jock to endorse that word.
“I assure you this liquor is going to turn big! I think there’s a lot of pressure, but I want you to keep refining.”
Bertram is extremely speechless when he says, “Yes…” At the end of the day, I poked my knee and started crying.
Next to that, the Dwarves say, “Sieg Scotch!,” “Sieg Burvon!” He keeps screaming.
It got festive at the Netherton branch, but I still have to go to the Fortis branch.
Fortis Branch was just off the Netherton Branch compartment and had a good look at what was happening now.
Branch Manager Rudiger Nichelle said, “Over here! scream.”
“I’ll give you a good name for your wine.”
Honestly, I just had to cloud the word “oh” because I don’t think this one is going to be as noisy as it is right now.
Stand before the Dwarves of the Fortis branch with my father. Behind it are some distillers, but they take an interesting look at what the name will be.
With that gaze, my father stands in front of Rudiger.
“Then I will give Fortis potato liquor its name…” Spirits ”or“ Fortis Spirits ”!
Rudigger said, “Spirits?” and lean his neck. The others had a bewildered look.
That’s where I start explaining.
“Strong, colourless, transparent liquor. And this is liquor that can be combined with any ingredient. I thought being strong and working hand in hand with my people was the very soul (spirit) of a mercenary who created the country in a tough land called Fortis…”
So I see the reaction, and I keep explaining.
“… that’s not all. This soul (spirits) is the soul of the craftsmen and the soul of the dwarf of Fortis… I named it because I wanted it to grow into such alcohol”
Even after my explanation, the surroundings remained quiet.
I thought it had failed. That’s when I suddenly heard the Dwarves say, “” Sieg Scotch! “” wrapped up in a screaming anger.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been angered, but fortunately it was outdoors and I never got hit with a tympanic membrane.
After Dwarf’s joyous voice lasted for about a minute, Rudigger slaps me on the shoulder in tears.
“That’s exactly what Nona’s liquor deserves! Spirits…… Loved it a lot! Sieg Scotch! Sieg Spirits!”
Apparently, you liked it.
It’s just subtle as far as I’m concerned.
Spirits are a word for hardlikers in the original world. I don’t remember the definition or origin clearly, but it wasn’t just attached to potato distilled liquor.
“Isn’t that okay? Because it makes me so happy,” my father comforted me.
Queen Katrina, who was following us, said, “Wonderful! That’s Mr. Zach!,” he praised, and the blacksmiths at Ulrich and his headquarters were also nodding.
When I finished naming the liquor, I was in drinking mode again. Have human guests already drank too much, barely got their hands on booze, and are ready to go home.
Meanwhile, the Dwarves empty the barrels of Scotch one after the other, as though they were feeling better. There are a lot of young dwarves this time, and I usually drink only about once a month, so I drink all the time here.
We’re 90% out of beer and wine, but we still have enough Scotch. Saying enough would surely be gone by noon tomorrow, but it seemed like he was assuming an increase in the number of people, and it’s going to be inevitable to get an extra scotch out of the village.
When the day begins to tilt, the Lockhart family squire and guild staff will prepare the magic props for the lights. The magic props of the lights are installed on top of the walls and near the bench of the Museum Hill and are lit one after the other.
By the time the sun was completely down, the pale light was illuminating the meadows, and the shadows of the Dwarves dancing on toasting for fun.
“Good luck,” says Liddy and the others approaching.
“Good luck over there. Don’t calm down at last.”
They also worked as backers, but the guild staff seemed to distract me.
“It’s a slip from Master Ignatius,” Beatrice said, offering a plate of raw ham and cheese platter.
“Seawell’s raw ham and cheese? Sounds delicious.”
When I tried to reach for the plate, Mel offered me my first glass of wine,
“They said it was last year’s Seawell wine. You said you were still young, but you were glad you did.”
Receive the wine and smell the aroma.
The aromatic aroma of black grapes tickles the nasal cavity, and the fruity fragrance replaces it all at once when mouthed.
“It’s really delicious. Speaking of which, I haven’t had a drink for this year yet.”
Five barrels of wine are given each year around March by the Marquis Seawell family. This continues to be given as an apology by the Marquis family because Beatrice was entangled by the Marquis Seawell man at his brother’s wedding.
We usually pack ourselves in bottles, but we weren’t in the village this spring. For this reason, only two thousand bottles prepared in advance are packed by the villagers, and the rest are served in the village liquor store.
Drink wine while pinching cheese.
The phrase “You feel calm about something,” mouths naturally.
“Right. You were on a boat this time last year, weren’t you? I think it was a long time ago.”
Liddy says so and drinks wine the same way.
I just reached out to Raw Ham to enjoy a neat amount of time, and the guild clerk has spoken out with regret.
“I would like to ask you to adjust the temperature of the beer, so I would like you to come to Master Zacharias or Sharon…”
“I’ll go,” he says, getting up.
“I thought the beer settled down?
“Master Gaelnote has said that the black beer may be too cold.”
I would have drank it as it was before, even if it was too cold, but it looks like the gauge notes are starting to depend on the temperature of the beer too.
“If that’s the case, you can’t help it. You have to drink deliciously.”
I headed to the compartment where Gaelnote waited with a frightened official.

The book by G. E. Merchant, renowned as a whisky researcher, “Dwarf Festival – Tracking the History of Dwarf and Whisky”, contains the following description:
“… the“ Dwarf Festival ”, held in October 3026 in the history of Tria, is remembered by the people as the largest liquor festival of all time. Its size was more than three thousand nine hundred and twenty-one Dwarves and about two thousand two hundred and six thousand other races… It is no exaggeration to say that the Dwarves consumed more than ten times as much alcohol as the other races. In other words, a festival of comparable size to the population of a large city took place in the village of Rasmore, on the border… ‘.
Merchants will give examples of abnormalities of that magnitude.
“… At that time, the city with a population of 50,000 was the commercial city of Aurelia, the city of Adventurers, Periclitle, and the transportation stronghold of the Caerm Empire, Ezarrington. The only cities beyond that were the Imperial Capital of the Caerm Empire, Primus, the Holy Capital of Luke’s Holy King, Paxlumen, the King’s Capital of the Kingdom of Lax, Fonce, and the King’s Capital of the Kingdom of Saruthus, Rauls… Events of more than fifty thousand people have a triumphal parade in the Imperial Capital Primus, but the parade itself is about two hours long and does not seem like a whole day or more. Events of this magnitude were, of course, never held to this day. It is said that the administrative skill of Sir Zacharias Lockhart, who planned and executed that enormous event, is comparable to that of Lord Firobischer, the famous Chancellor of the Empire…… ‘
It also described the significance of the festival.
‘… objectively showed how the Rockhart family and the Rathmore village distilleries had the support of the Dwarves at this festival… people around the world have renewed their perception that the Dwarves and Rockhart family are one. This was not the intention of Sir Zacharias, but in the coup d ‘état in the Caerm Empire and the Holy King of Lukes that followed this, the Lockhart family…’
The author will then explain the matters that have attracted the most interest.
“… there were two innovative matters (epoch-making) at this event. For one thing, it made the Dwarves, who were confined only to Scotch, look at the possibility of new distilled liquors. Brandy and Carbatos were somewhat more supportive than before. However, there was a strong perception that even those liquors would drink between Scotches, and they didn’t even seem to be substitutes to other distilleries… However, relatively cheap barvons, rams and spirits would become consumed, mainly the young Dwarves who participated in this event… ‘
“Cocktails” were also mentioned.
‘… the other epoch-making thing is that the drinking style that later became known as “cocktails” has settled. It has been introduced by Sir Zacharias only once before that, but the visibility was not so much. This can be attributed to the low variety of alcohol used as a material. However, when introduced at the Dwarf Festival in 326, the merchants considered it the best way to drink to expand their sales channels besides the Dwarf, and various suggestions became made. In the shadow of this, supposedly, was the efforts of Queen Katrina of the Kingdom of Kaum… At this time in the border the big city began to offer cocktail drinks to the liquor store, and the liquor store culture blossomed around young people who preferred new things…’
And the name “cocktail” was also mentioned.
It is said that the time when the name “…” cocktail ”was established was in the 340s, but its origin is not clear. I’m not sure why the meaning” rooster (cock) tail (tail) “became a generic term for mixing and drinking liquor… Although Sir Zacharias supposedly used that name in one commentary, there is no record that he used that name in an official setting, on the contrary, it is clearly documented in credible literature, such as the record of the Blacksmith Guild and Sharon Lockhart’s diary… what the author thinks about this theory is that the preconceived fantasy that Sir Zacharias is involved as far as liquor is concerned has created. He just doesn’t think it would be weird for us to use it in a surprising way… ‘
