Dropped I Became A God - Chapter 45 Visiting Hoemis
The street vendor smiled and turned on his mana deep fryer. He filled it up with oil and placed the ten rabbit nuggets inside. It didn’t take long, and after a few minutes, the street vendor finished cooking the rabbit nuggets.
The street vendor placed them in a small bag and gave it to Karl. “That’ll be a hundred copper.”
“Thank you very much.” Karl grabbed the bag and looked inside at the nuggets, making his stomach growl at the sight of them. They looked delicious. Reaching in his pocket, he grabbed the golden coin and gave it to the vendor. “I don’t have a hundred copper coins, so take this.”
The street vendor let out a gasp as he grabbed the gold coin. “Are you sure? One gold coin is a lot of money for something only worth a hundred copper.”
“Yeah, don’t worry about it.” Karl turned around and began walking again, walking with the crowd.
“Thank you!” the street vendor yelled at Karl as he walked away.
As he walked, Karl grabbed a piece of his rabbit nuggets and took a bite of it. “Mmmm.”
The rabbit nuggets tasted very good and reminded him of a certain fast-food that he ate all the time.
Karl kept eating and eating. It didn’t take long for him to finish the whole bag in disappointment. “Noooo, I wanted more.”
Karl wanted to buy more, but he was lost and didn’t know where the vendor was, so he just kept on walking and looking around. He saw many different places – clothes, shops, shoe shops, basically anything related to fashion.
After walking for so long, Karl stumbled on something familiar, a dojo. On the front was a sign that read, ‘Hoemis’s Dojo’ in gold letters.
Karl approached the entrance of the dojo and knocked on the door. He waited for a few seconds before the door opened, and Hoemis greeted him.
“Hello, do I know you?” Hoemis didn’t know why, but this older man seemed familiar, but he didn’t know why.
“It’s me, don’t you recognize me?” Karl released his divine aura that was much more intense than even Hoemis’s and Adum’s.
Hoemis smiled as he realized who the older man was. “Master! What are you doing here?” Hoemis moved out of the way so Karl could enter. “Come in, come in.”
Karl entered the dojo and saw two people training, Zeno and Lionell. “Just exploring the world, I guess.”
“Well, I am honored that you came to visit my dojo.” Hoemis turned to Zeno and Lionell, who were training and didn’t even notice Karl. “ZENO! LIONELL! Come over here. I have someone to introduce you to!”
The two were broken out of their concentration when Hoemis yelled at them. They stopped what they were doing and made their way to Hoemis.
“Don’t be so loud,” Lionell said, scratching his ear.
“Who is this, teacher?” Zeno asked.
Hoemis smiled at the two. “This here is my master. His name is- wait, master, can I tell them your name?”
Karl laughed and nodded. “Yes, go ahead.”
“His name is Karl.”
“Whoah, you have a master? Does that mean he’s stronger than you?” Zeno asked.
“Yes, way stronger,” Hoemis replied.
“He looks weird. Like me, but he doesn’t have a tail, and he doesn’t have as much hair,” Lionell commented.
“That’s because I’m a human,” Karl told Lionell.
“Human? What are they? Are they all strong like you?” Lionell asked.
“Humans are like Samians. They evolved from monkeys. Maybe not as strong as me, but I’m sure some are strong,” Karl replied.
“Weird, I’ve never heard of another race that evolved from monkeys.”
“Alright, that’s enough of a break, go back to training,” Hoemis told Zeno and Lionell.
The two nodded and went back to the training dummies to continue their training.
“They look like they’ll be strong,” Karl said.
“That’s what I’m planning to happen,” Hoemis replied.
“Oh yeah, I have something to tell you. Remember the Lord of the Skies?”
Hoemis nodded. “Yeah? He’s planning an attack on the Ancient Ones, right?”
“Yup. There’s another problem. Demons from the afterlife are planning an escape, and Adum says it’s inevitable.”
Hoemis cocked his head to the side. “Demons? What’s that?”
“Evil beings that died and were sentenced by Adum in the afterlife for a long time. They are very powerful and have access to mana called Demonic Mana,” Karl replied.
“So what should I do?” Hoemis asked. “Should I just stay put?”
“Keep an eye out. They can look like anything, but they’ll always have black eyes and horns. Also, their mana will always be a deep crimson.”
Hoemis nodded. “Ok, I’ll keep an eye out.” Hoemis watched his students train, their faces and bodies covered in sweat. “So what are you going to do, for now, master?”
Karl shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t know. I want to relax right now.”
“Hmm, well, I’m going to go and train my students, ok?”
“Go ahead, and you don’t need to ask for my permission.”
Hoemis went back to his students and watched their training, giving them pointers whenever he saw they needed help.
Karl sat down cross-legged, watching the training session. It was quite relaxing, and it made him feel like an older man. It also felt cool that he was a god and he was disguised as an old man.
In the workshop of Mutyx, Mutyx was busy selling and forging weapons. Fortunately, Garrik was there to help him out, his assistant.
As Mutyx was forging a sword, he called Garrik over. “Garrik, come over here.”
Garrik heard his master call his name and immediately went to his side. “Yes, master?”
Mutyx continued hammering the steel as he spoke, “We’re leaving tonight once we’re finished with today’s sales.”
Garrik was surprised. “Leaving? Why are we leaving? What of the shop?”
“I want ta build something ye see. A floating ship. Dinna worry aboot tha shop, and it’s nae going anywhere.” Mutyx finished forging the sword and got to work on the next one.
“Floating ship? What for?” Garrik was confused. What was a god going to do with a floating ship?
