Duality Merged - Chapter 1 Prologue
@@
(A.N: I’ve recently rewritten chapter 1, so you might want to skip the original chapters 1, 2, 3 and 4 and simply start on the rewritten chapter 1. I will most likely be rewriting and deleting the current chapters mentioned above. )
As a god dies, so must their creations, for every creation is created by the god, linked to the god, fueled by the god. What must, therefore, die, you ask? Your world, naturally. The very ground beneath you will wither and swallow whatever it can find, in a desperate, and ultimately futile attempt, to live.
But, dear humans of Earth, you can rest easy knowing that We, Eotz, has decided to link Ourself to this world. This world, however, is quite… disappointing, and dead, something We will remedy.
We shall allow you access to another World, a World that many of you have fantasised about. One of magic and fantastical creatures, fighting as well as intermingling with the civilized society.
We feel a great many of you doubt and fear Us. You fear Our intentions, “What’s the catch?” you wonder. It’s quite simple, humans. As you grow in this other world, your connection to this world will feed its evolution, and as your travel between the worlds, the connection will widen.
Now, my dear humans, will you be the harbingers of change, or suffocate hopelessly beneath your betters?
“Well, that’s what we’ve been told,” said the snake “and we’re quite good at believing in whatever an authoritative figure tells us,” it continued with a mirthful smile, before seemingly remembering something humorous “Well, I guess we do have something in common, being abandoned by our god, miss High Priestess.”
