Duke’s Beautiful Tailor - Chapter 4
Chapter 4
Helena beckoned quickly, and Jerome and Will immediately presented before the Duke a sample of the latest fashions one by one.
“This is a new model Master completed before he got into the carriage accident. It’s not a big departure from last year’s fashion, but the collar is a little shorter and the cuffs are embroidered with more colorful embroidered changes.”
The first thing Helena opened up was a shirt made of silk.
“The fabric I would recommend to the duke is this dark indigo silk. It is a sample, imported from Tasian this month.”
“Hmm, that sounds fine.”
The Duke looked at the statuettes Helena had presented, and nodded obediently.
The clothes Helena brought were made by Raynor Stud, Helena’s father, the owner of the dress shop and is said to be the most outstanding craftsman in the Kingdom of Rasue. These were the best products that were too good to be called samples. And among them was a dress that Helena had made herself.
With good eyesight, the moment she saw Duke Bronant’s face, she was not only admiring his splendid appearance. Helena, at a glance, had in mind the best color and style for Duke Bronant.
She found the tile. Then a new craving arose.
It was a strong desire to wear the clothes she made on such a beautiful man because it would look good for even once.
Any skillful craftsman wants to show off their talents for the people who will make their work shine. There was something inspiring about Duke Bronant’s beautiful face.
A painter would want to paint a portrait that will leave his beauty forever, and a sculptor would want to carefully sculpt his cool forehead, outstretched nose and perfect lips on the finest marble. Likewise, Helena, who had a talent for sewing, wanted to make the best clothes and put them on the duke.
So Helena chose the things that would suit the duke and explained each one carefully.
The Duke seemed to be quite pleased with the clothes Helena had recommended. When the explanation was finished after a while, the duke, who had been listening silently the whole time, nodded his head.
“Okay. Then, let’s make clothes with the fabric and design you recommended.”
Helena jumped with joy. Because her father could not make his own clothes for a while, she was so worried that the Duke of Bronant would no longer take their production of new clothes.
Whether or not she could receive the duke’s order was a matter of prestige for .
She even disguised herself as a man and came to the duke, and that effort has just paid off.
It’s done! The duke even promised that he would order six more before winter, as he ordered four more clothes in addition to the ball next month.
“Thank you very much, Duke. Then, I will make a total of five sets including the ceremonial costumes. I wrote a letter the other day, but I apologize for mentioning it.”
Helena spoke in a cautious tone. So far everything went fine, but now here was the problem. They had to talk about the money.
They say that aristocrats dealt directly with money matters really well.
