- Chapter 20:The Dungeon Lord raid rewards
An unknown amount of time later I woke up lying against a dungeon wall. The Giant Centipede Queen was gone and a basket ball sized monster core was left in it’s place.
After retrieving the A Rank Monster Core, I walked around for a bit trying to find where I was. That wild ride took me through half the dungeon and I found myseft a few meters from the Dungeon Core. Luckily I was able to finish it off now, I don’t want to even imagine what would happen if it reached the Dungeon Core and broke it…
Since I was already here, let’s take a look at the situation…
“Building Mode!”
…
“Radar!”
…
The map appeared inside the Dungeon Core, showing all the mapped area of this floor.
I take a look at the Orange area and notice there are only a few Giant Centipede eggs left along some loot. I also notice Ruyk wondering around the labyrinth as if it was lost and Muddy…was eating stones right beside me. When did he get here??
It seems the danger was over, so now it was time to do some cleaning.
First let’s retrieve those eggs! If they hatch it would mean a lot more trouble to me. T_T
As I reach the Orange area entrance I find my War Hammer on the floor, a few steps later, there is the topaz of the failed summon circle and the monster cores I didn’t have a chance to retrieve before.
“Now I have enough Monster Cores for the Expansion.” 😉
Taking advantage of the tunnel dug by the late Giant Centipede Queen, I reached the Orange area.
Inside it there was a black pool which I couldnt see through no matter if I used normal sight or Mana Sight. Actually the black gas coming out of the pull was painting everything black when looking through the Mana Sight, so I decided to deactivate it as it was not helping at all.
Looking ahead, at the light stops, I found the Light Stones I had thrown before, so I took them to enlighten my path and slowly advanced inside.
There were more than a hundred eggs, but most of them were smashed or had already hatched. It was a lot of trouble to filter the good ones from the rest, but with patience and perseverance I finished organizing them. Step one Complete!
Next step, I searched the nest for anything that could be useful, from monster bones to rare stones and all that didn’t rhyme as well.
My search results were quite good, not only a B Rank Monster Core was found, but also some equipment from dead adventurers, some gold, silver, and a bag with a grimoire.
“Great! This will help me a lot! Maybe I will finally be able to learn some magic spells!”
Unfortunately I didn’t find any exit…
I wonder how they end up stuck here…
As I left the cave, back to the Dungeon, I found Ruyk running towards me.
“Master!!!!!!!!”
As Ruyk throws himself at me crying, I block him with the War Hammer.
“Shut up!”
But to my surprise, instead of being pushed away, Ruyk grabs the head of the War Hammer and keeps on crying without letting it go.
Sigh…
“Master! Ruyk was so scared! Ruyk was all alone! It was so dark and quiet! But there was sound of the Big One crawling everywhere! And Ruyk didn’t know where to run. And Ruyk got lost! Masteeeer!! Waahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!”
Ignoring his crying drama, I lift the War Hammer along the Goblin over my shoulder and head back to the Dungeon Core.
