- Chapter 41:The Dungeon Lord normal farming day
After finally finishing collecting all seeds spread in the entrance, I notices the light of the rising sun invading my cave, another morning had began…
“Master! Good Morning!”
“Good Morning!”
“Good Morning!”
Blue, Aqua and Marine greeted me with smiles on their faces as they circled around me going up and down.
“Hello you three, now please stop that, you are making me dizzy.”
The three stopped playing around and waited in front of me.
“Good, Blue, go check Ruyk, make sure he drinks his medicine. Aqua, Marine, you two go check the turpins, see if they already have seeds.”
Blue nods his head while Aqua and Marine answer with an energetic “Understoooooood!”.
I grab the seed bags, go to the right passage and close it pulling the loose tile in the wall, then I walk to the other side of the hall and go back to the farming camp.
…
On my way back I pass in front of the cells I made yesterday.
I look the at bag of seeds in my hand….
Yup, as I said, I didn’t hear anything!
…
Arriving in the farming camp, Aqua and Marine appear again to give their report to me.
“There are a lot of beans, Master!”
“And the flowers are all gone!”
“Good. Then it’s time to take them out…”
So, how am I going to cut these things? I could have used the cursed blade from before, but when I think about using a cursed item to harvest food….it doesn’t sound like a good idea. I think there is a wind blade spell on the grimoire, but if feels like a waste to use magic for this. That’s why I ended up using the building mode to I improvise a stone knife for me.
The cutting edge is quite bad, but at least it’s free ;p
Hmm, maybe I should just go ahead and summon a blacksmith already.
No, I should wait a bit longer, to accumulate more Mana, even more now that I wasted most of it in my magic training…
With the new knife in hand, I started digging out the turpins and cutting out the stalks, storing both separately in the Storage. One turpin, two turpins, three turpins….all done!
Then I went to the warehouse, found an empty place, took out the stored turpins and left them there. As for the stalks full of beans, I climbed the tower and left them on the top floor along The Sun, so that they could be dried faster.
The fields were empty again, so it was time to spread new seeds.
“Let’s start with the tomatoes!” ^_^
Grabbing a few seeds at once, I made a little hole on the field and buried them within. Then rise, take a step to the side, and repeat. And repeat. And repeat.
.
..
…
Argh, my back is killing me! But at last we are done!…with the tomatoes. There is still corn and watermelons as well. T_T
Maybe I should just wait for Ruyk to help me…
Then I remembered all the times he tried to help me…
Thankfully Ruyk is still in bed, or I would never finish this. 😉
“Master, you ok?”
“Master, does it hurt?”
Aqua and Marine look at me worried, they seem to have noticed my wound has opened after all this exercise.
“Don’t worry. I’m fine.”
I answer them and try my best to smile. Seeing it’s not working I decide to change their attention by giving them a new task.
“Little ones, go water the tomatoes we just planted.”
The two nod to me and float above the newly planted tomato seeds, conjuring just enough water to wet the soil.
Good. Let’s keep this up.
Taking out the corn seeds, I start planting them on the south-east field that is currently empty.
This time I go even slower than before, to try to minimize the stress on my back, but it seems like it’s not really working, so as I finish I decide to take a break before going for the watermelons.
I grab the grimoire I had thrown around the field when the fight broke out, take off the dust and earth from it’s pages, make a stone chair with my back to The Sun and study the books for a few hours.
.
..
…
I wake up again with the sound of Blue, Aqua and Marine playing in the fields. It seems like I fell asleep without noticing. I close the book and leave it in the rock chair as I get up.
The pain is still there, but the bleeding has stopped again.
“OK, time to finish this!”
I take out the water melon seeds and start planting them like all other seeds, but this time in the North West field.
As I finish planting them all, a wave of weakness spreads through my body. It seems like all this bleeding is having an effect on me, I should probably rest some more…sigh…
Well, having finishing planting all I wanted, I could finally take a day or two to lazy around while they grow.
“Blue! Aqua! Marine!”
I call the three sprites and wait their arrival.
A few seconds later, I see they approaching fast as if competing to see who reached me first.
The three literally pass through me and stop on the other side.
“Blue won!”
“No! Aqua won!”
“No! No! Marine is the winner!”
The three turn to me and ask in unison.
“””Master! Who won!?”””
Honestly I have no idea. XD
“You three won!”
“””Eh!? We three won!?”””
“Yes! Each of you won a field to water everyday!”
“””Yay! We won!”””
So pure, so cute!
Somehow I am starting to feel bad for using their naivety to further my plans…
T_T
Well, it can’t be helped, and it’s not like they are against it anyway…
“Blue, you will be responsible for the North East field where the Tomatoes are planted.”
“Aqua, you will be responsible for the South East field where the Corns are planted.”
“Marine, you will be responsible for the North West field, where the Watermelons are planted.”
“Understood!?”
“””Yes, master!”””
“Good, now go!”
“””Yaaaaaaaay!”””
OK, now all preparations were finished.
Leticia should visit in two days…until then I think I will sleep for a bit…
