All right, 730u, that’s more than enough!
Let’s start with the Water Sprite egg!
After drawing the summoning circle, I ordered:
“Summon! Water Sprite egg!”
[Understood!]
[Water Sprite (egg)]
[Rank: F]
[Type: Task Force]
[Consumption: 0u/d]
[Diet: Mana]
[Size: Tiny]
[Description: Hatch after incubating for a week, giving birth to an Water Sprite (baby). They are quite frail, please handle them with extra care.]
[Resources required]
-Aquamarine gem, 1
-Mana, 50u
[Confirm Summon?]
Isn’t this a bit more expansive than last time?…
I think the price was 20u…
Whatever!
“Yes!”
The light appeared in the summoning circle and as it disappeared it leaf behind a small blue colored egg.
Good! Now my part of the deal is half over, I just need to deliver it when it’s born.
It’s been some time since I last summoned anything. Considering the prices chance, maybe the what I can find change as well? Let’s take a look and see what else we can have here…
“System! Show me the list of possible summons.”
[Understood!]
[Listing.]
[Listing..]
[Listing…]
[List complete!]
Let’s see…hmm….
…
[Earth Sprite (egg)]
Oh! Now that I got the field running, I should get a few of these!
“Summon! Two Earth Sprite (egg)’s”
[Earth Sprite (egg)]
[Rank: F]
[Type: Task Force]
[Consumption: 0u/d]
[Diet: Mana]
[Size: Tiny]
[Description: Hatch after incubating for a week, giving birth to an Earth Sprite (baby). They are quite frail, please handle them with extra care.]
[Resources required]
-Topaz gem, 1
-Mana, 70u
[Total]
-Topaz gem, 2
-Mana, 140u
[Confirm Summon?]
Hmm… it seems the prices are growing… maybe I should wait?
No, what if they grow even further, let’s summon now!
“Yes!”
The light appeared on the circle again and this time it left two Green eggs.
After putting the eggs aside, I went back to the list and kept on reading…
[5x Skeleton (Lancer)]
[Rank: E]
[Type: Defense Force]
[Consumption: 5u/d]
[Diet: Mana]
[Size: Medium]
[Description: Cheap, Strong and Loyal. Perfect for guarding duty as it will never sleep in service. Vulnerable to Sun Light and Light magic.]
[Resources required]
-Cursed Lance, 1
-Mana, 190u
Ehh? I don’t remember seeing these before… the 5x means I buy them in groups of 5??
It would be good to add some guards to prevent those incidents from happening again, but the Sun light vulnerability is bad…
Maybe I can make them some capes? XD
Well, even if they can only stay inside the dungeon, it would be good to have them around, and I need a few monsters for the defense force to evolve to the next rank, so I think I should take this chance and summon as many as I can… no, ten should be enough!
“Summon! Ten Skeleton Lancers!”
[Understood!]
…
[Total]
-Cursed Lances, 2
-Mana, 380u
Oh! Yeah, I need the lances here! XD
Running as fast as I could, I went to the treasure chamber, grabbed two lances and ran all the way back to the Dungeon Core.
One Lance made my hand bleed while the other tried to take control over my body. Luckily I was no longer a human and my resistances seem to be quite better than before so I was retain control, right Gustav?
Adding a lance to the summoning circle, I pressed confirm.
[Error!]
[Not enough material!]
What do you mean not enough material?
The cursed lance is already there, right Gustav?
One lance should be enough! Right Gustav?
There is no need to let go of Gustav, right Gustav?
Hmm…
There is something wrong…
Damn…
My mind!!!
Somehow I am able to throw Gustav, I mean, the other lance, in the summoning circle and press confirm.
The summoning light appears again engulfing Gustav and the other nameless lance.
“Gustav! Nooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Gustav vanishes right in front of me as I cry it’s name in vain.
Tears drop from my eyes as I start regaining back to my senses…
Damn, scary! I really need to be more careful with those cursed items!
As this thoughts appears in my head, 10 human sized skeletons armed with lance and helmet appear before me.
“All right, from now on you will be called Guards from 1 to 10, understood?”
The 10 skeletons nodded their heads in agreement.
“Good, stay there and wait my next command!”
The 10 skeletons nodded their heads in agreement, again.
Somehow I got the impression they can’t talk. Well, being all bones, it would be odd if they actually could talk…
Let’s see what else we got here…
[Dark Sprite (baby)]
[Rank: E]
[Type: Task Force]
[Consumption: 10u/d]
[Diet: Mana]
[Size: Small]
[Description: Friend of necromancers and soul mages, Dark Sprites babies can summon darkness veils to protect themselves and others from the Sun.]
[Resources required]
-Cursed Sword, 1
-Mana, 150u
Oh! With this the main problem of my skeletons will be solved!
But 150u Mana is too expensive. What about the egg?
[Dark Sprite (egg)]
[Rank: E]
[Type: Task Force]
[Consumption: 0u/d]
[Diet: Mana]
[Size: Small]
[Description: Hatch after incubating for a week, giving birth to an Dark Sprite (baby). They are quite frail, please handle them with extra care.]
[Resources required]
-Cursed Sword, 1
-Mana, 50u
Let’s get one!
Hmm… I need a cursed sword… maybe that one from last time will do?
Right now I’m a bit afraid of testing the other curses after my last experience…
I run back at the treasure chamber, grab the sword and come back.
Damn! This hurts!
Letting go of the sword in the sword circle, confirm the summon.
This time no surprises happen and a black egg appears as the light fades out.
“Great!”
I put the egg with on the side of the other three and go back to the list…
Something with feathers would be good…
No, no, this one is a no…
Oh, here!
[Fire Chicken (baby)]
[Rank: E]
[Type: Guard Force]
[Consumption: 5u/d]
[Diet: Magic Vegetables]
[Size: Small]
[Description: Commonly breed in cold areas, it’s known for it’s orange feathers with the red tip. At this stage the only difference between the fire chick and a common chick is the color of it’s feathers, as it’s still unable to breath out fire.]
[Resources required]
-Magic crop, 1 unit
-Mana, 50u
Lucky! I got turpins!
I should be able to summon a ton of these later!
If my memory serves right Fire Chicken feathers are considered a premium item outside the North and considering the scenery here, I should be in the South. If I can breed many and sell their feathers I should be able to make a lot of money…
But that’s all for later, first I need them for my own bed. 😉
“Summon! Two Fire Chicken babies”
[Understood!]
…
[Total]
-Magic crop, 2 unit
-Mana, 100u
[Confirm Summon?]
OK, let’s grab those Turpins in the Warehouse!
Teleporting to the stairs, I run to the warehouse…
As I enter I see Ruyk laying among the half eaten turpins with a swollen belly sleeping.
I hold myself back to not kick between his legs as I see all turpins that were stored in the opened stone barrel were now gone. Luckily I had hid the last harvest in another box, so they were still safe.
Just to be safe I took all turpins and stored them in the Storage, where Ruyk would be able to touch them.
Leaving the goblin aside from now, I went back to the summoning circle and pressed confirm.
The summoning light shined again and two orange fire chicks appeared before me.
I tried petting them but the two start pecking my hand.
Well, it didn’t hurt, so it was fine :p
Great…but where will I leave these little fellows?
It was time to build a chicken house…
