Dungeon Predator - Chapter 593. Dragon Fight (3)
Fierce Fire Dragon’s Breath!
A fan-shaped wave of fire spread throughout Inarius’s mouth.
Unfortunately, Kang Oh was within the fire dragon’s mouth too.
Ice covered some of his body, but not all of it. Inarius’s ferocious flames rushed at him like a swarm of red ants and burnt the uncovered sections of his body.
However, he didn’t die right then and there.
Munch, munch.
[You have eaten Eder’s Secret Healing Medicine.]
[HP is replenished quickly.]
Plus…
Kang Oh activated one of his consumed item’s abilities.
Unlimited Regeneration!
For 30 seconds, all healing effects would be ten times more effective!
That was why Kang Oh, despite being burnt to a crisp by the high intensity flames, was able to stay alive.
Unfortunately, he wouldn’t be able to last very long.
‘Please!’
Even if he drew upon Sarahoff’s power, the ice would melt instantly. Ice Soul Wall was on cooldown, so he couldn’t use that either.
He couldn’t hope to survive by himself.
But…!
Kang Oh wasn’t alone.
Screech!
Rudy screeched and enveloped Kang Oh.
A Phoenix was made up of flames, so fire element attacks couldn’t harm it. However, the evil contained within them could, which slowly gnawed at Rudy’s flames.
Screech!
Rudy’s face grimaced. It sounded like it was bearing the pain. Despite that, it didn’t abandon Kang Oh and protected him till the end.
“Rudy, I’m ok. Hurry up and go,” Kang Oh said regretfully.
He would rather die and come back than see Rudy in such agonizing pain.
However, Rudy didn’t listen to him. It protected him until its large, beautiful wings withered away.
Hoo.
Inarius used one last breath. The entire world was enveloped in flame.
The guardians and summons weren’t left unscathed.
The Iron Knight, Redman, melted away, and the other guardians, even Teynos with its high defense, were all unsummoned.
Only the Unicorn was able to survive, even though it wasn’t actually real.
On the other hand, the Lava Spirits or the Darkness Spirits didn’t take any damage from Inarius’s Fire Breath. It was because they shared the same attributes as their master.
Fortunately, those closest to the dragon (Asu, Isshin, Nile, and Valan) had managed to save themselves.
Bart and Sephiro survived due to Waryong’s frantic flying, and Helena was saved by her conjured Unicorn.
Chirp.
Rudy, who’d protected Kang Oh till the end, returned to its chick form. Its beautiful yellow feathers were burnt black.
“Rudy,” Kang Oh said regretfully, hugging the weak chick.
Chirp.
Rudy looked at Kang Oh with its moist eyes, let out a weak cry, and then turned to ash.
“Rudy!” Kang Oh yelled in shock.
There was a clear, red Phoenix Egg amidst the ashes.
“Rudy…” Kang Oh pushed the ashes aside with the back of his hand and carefully collected the egg.
A Phoenix couldn’t die. However, Rudy would have to be hatched again.
“Your dad will get revenge. I promise,” Kang Oh said coldly, and then raised his head.
He saw Inarius with its wings stretched out, releasing a huge amount of pressure.
It could no longer be called a red dragon. After all, its tail and half of its body had turned black. Its horns and face were enveloped in black energy, making it look more like a demon than a dragon.
Kuhaaaa!
It roared. At the same time, black hole like spheres appeared everywhere.
Kang Oh leapt into the air.
Suck.
Ubist absorbed a sphere, and then Kang Oh swung Sarahoff.
The dragon slaying energy transformed into a Phoenix.
Barriers couldn’t block Kang Oh’s attack. Moreover, the dragon slaying energy peeled the scales off a dragon’s flesh, cut through the skin, and crushed the bones underneath.
Inarius shielded itself with its wings.
There was a black sphere in Kang Oh’s way.
Bam!
The Phoenix-shaped energy struck the black sphere. The sphere rippled, but eventually, a hole was punctured through it.
Kang Oh could see Inarius’s golden irises from within. Its enraged eyes stared straight at Kang Oh.
“Lower your eyes!” Kang Oh furiously swung Ubist downwards.
Divide the Sea!
His blade unleashed a line, which promised to cleave anything in existence, at the dragon.
Swish!
The punctured black sphere was sliced in two like a piece of fruit, and left a long sword scar on Inarius’s body.
However…
Countless darkness spikes came out of the black sphere. The ends were all extremely sharp.
The nearby members of his team (Valan, Asu, and Nile), who were preoccupied with the spirits, scattered.
But the spikes were too fast.
Valan and Nile could just barely dodge them, as they were a cut above the rest (Master and above), but Asu couldn’t do that.
Moreover, her power as a Phoenix Knight had reduced drastically after Rudy’s demise.
Stab! Stab! Stab!
Countless spikes pierced her body.
“No!” Kang Oh yelled.
“Heal! Isshin quickly cast a Prayer of Healing.
However, the prayer couldn’t bring the dead back to life. Her body had already turned gray and fell to the floor.
First they had lost Rudy, and now Asu.
“You damn lizard!” Kang Oh furiously charged at the dragon.
Then, the ground cracked or rose, and the spikes fell like rain.
Mad Wind’s Sword!
Kang Oh leapt into the air, and cleaved through the spikes with his twin demon swords.
‘I’ll cut through them all!’
Kang Oh didn’t stop there.
“Kill him!” Inarius said.
Kuhaang!
Inarius had no reason to fear him. After all, he was just an insignificant bug.
It stretched out its wings, stared at Kang Oh with burning rage, and bombarded him with spells.
Abyss Fire Pillar!
Hypergravity Zone!
Earthquake!
Homing Darkness Hands!
Kang Oh was assaulted by giant flames, invisible pressure weighing him down, shaking ground, and the power of darkness that originated from the abyss.
Warning! Warning!
Hyper Intuition’s warning was so severe that it felt like he’d catch frostbite.
In spite of that, Kang Oh kept swinging his swords.
Sarahoff’s dark red energy arced like a rainbow, and Ubist released deep darkness and giant auras. A cold wave was also raging around his body.
A dragon’s magic and a Grandmaster Demonic Swordsman’s power clashed.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
There was a giant explosion, accompanied by several ‘booms’.
Kang Oh hadn’t dealt with some of the spells. The Homing Darkness Hands, for example, struck Kang Oh head-on.
“Ugh.” Kang Oh was pushed away. Countless shards of light spilled from his body.
It was only due to the Dragon Slayer set that he hadn’t died.
On the contrary, Kang Oh’s Phoenix-shaped dragon slayer energy soared through the air and struck Inarius’s face.
Kuhaahk.
Inarius screamed due to the agonizing pain. Red shards of light spilled from the wound.
“You insect!” Inarius yelled furiously, and fiercely swung its barbed tail at Kang Oh’s head.
At that moment…
Sephiro, Bart, and Helena poured on the pressure.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
There was a giant explosion on Inarius’s side. However, that didn’t stop Inarius’s attack.
Even so, Isshin stood in front of Kang Oh, his shield at the ready.
Iron Wall!
He stuck the tip of his shield into the ground, creating a giant silver wall in front of him.
Boom!
The wall was crushed and Isshin fell to the floor. The force behind a dragon’s tail was too strong.
Bam!
Isshin slammed into the ground.
Through his sacrifice, however, Kang Oh was able to dodge Inarius’s tail. He immediately unleashed a ton of dragon slaying energy at the defenseless tail.
Hoffman’s face contorted even more. ‘Kill him! Kill him, I say!’
Nile and Valan went next.
They slaughtered the Darkness Infused Lava Spirits and attacked Inarius.
Beast Style: Thunderbird!
Nile swung his fists one after another, each containing a massive amount of lightning energy.
Crackle!
Lightning fell upon Inarius’s back like a waterfall.
Valan swung his steel sword twice.
Cross Slash!
Valan had used Divide the Sea to etch an X in Inarius’s skin. Shards of light exploded from the dragon’s body, and its scales shimmered and broke off, leaving behind red wounds underneath.
“Spirits of Destruction! You, who follow my great self, show them your power!” Inarius yelled.
The spirits gathered in two locations, and fused into two giant spirits. They were about half the size of Inarius itself.
Giant Lava Spirit!
Wide Darkness Spirit!
Based on their size and their presence, they were clearly on the level of raid bosses.
Whoosh!
The Giant Lava Spirit swung its boiling fists at Valan and Nile.
They both threw themselves to the side and counterattacked.
Meanwhile, the Darkness Spirit unleashed beams of darkness from its entire body, attacking both Waryong and the Unicorn.
Waryong, and by extension Sephiro and Bart, as well as Helena, who was holding onto the Unicorn’s mane, couldn’t ignore the Darkness Spirit.
Then, Inarius moved its giant body. Nine gray spheres appeared around its body, which shot beams of light at Kang Oh’s party.
“Ugh!” someone cried out.
It wasn’t Kang Oh.
The Knight of Life, Isshin, clutched his perforated chest. His body had been hit by a beam right after he stood up.
His face turned ashen.
Then, his shield radiated dim light. This was Hoffman’s SS-rank masterpiece! Its item effects were amazing enough to warrant his son’s name.
Full Heal!
In an instant, Isshin’s HP was fully restored.
But…!
Inarius cleverly focused all of its beams on Isshin.
He protected himself with his shield, but he was slowly pushed deeper and deeper into the ground until his entire lower body was entrenched.
Inarius had already made its way over.
“You bastard!” Kang Oh quickly threw Blood at it.
Weapon Bombardment!
Then, he followed it up with an Abyss Claw and a Tempest Tiger to distract it, but… it was no use.
Blood was deflected off of its barrier, and both of his auras couldn’t break through it either.
Thud!
Inarius stomped on Isshin. Game Over. There was no way to save him.
‘I got one of the bugs!’ Inarius smiled wickedly.
Then…
“I’ll take care of this guy. Please go help Mr. Kang Oh,” Nile said.
“Alright,” Valan said.
Nile used a Beast Fighter secret move and pushed the Giant Lava Spirit away. During that time, Valan rushed at Inarius from behind.
“I leave him to you.”
“Understood!”
Bart, Sephiro, Waryong, and the Unicorn attacked the Darkness Spirit simultaneously.
Helena had disembarked from the Unicorn.
Her red hair turned purple as if she’d had a manicure. It wasn’t just her hair that had changed, however.
The tips of her hair and the edges of her feet turned purple. She didn’t have a face, nor did she wear any clothing. It was as if she were a purple object in the shape of a human being.
“Transcendent Being!” Kang Oh yelled in shock.
Lacia, history’s most powerful mage, had shown him this technique just once in the underworld. It was considered the most powerful secret technique in a mage’s arsenal.
MP was a fundamental source of energy in the world. This source of energy was processed in order to use spells or skills.
Transcendent Being transformed the caster into this fundamental energy.
The closer any particular element gets to this fundamental energy, the ‘more powerful it becomes’.
However, Transcendent Being allowed the caster to use this fundamental energy in its raw form.
In other words, Helena had power equal to a Grandmaster in this state. Of course, with her level of skill, she wouldn’t be able to maintain this form for very long.
In any case, three super humans, or Kang Oh, Valan, and Helena were gunning for Inarius.
The battle was coming to its end.
