Dungeon System: World Of Chaos War - Chapter 22 Direct Conflict
Vitiate put his clothes back on and looked at the virtual screen to see who was invading his Dungeon. He wore pants that were similar to Goku’s, but black instead. He wore black armored boots lined with Gold.
Vitiate also sported a Belt with a bull buckle on it, the bull was black with red eyes, each hole in the belt was also outlined with gold. He wore a tight long sleeve shirt with a turtle neck that stuck close to his neck.
Once he looked at the screen, he saw 4 men, and another figure he could barely describe. Using the zooming function, he got a better look. The person was in rags with no shoes, it had orange fox-like ears sticking from its head.
It was almost hard to tell if it was a boy or girl but upon further inspection, he found it to be a little girl around the age of 8 or 9. The kid had a collar around her neck, one of the men tugged her roughly since she paused for a moment.
Her head was drooped downward at all times, so he couldn’t see her face.
“Must be a slave, it has to be.” It didn’t take a genius to figure that out, so Vitiate took a seat and started to listen in on them, they were moving their lips a lot.
“Damn! So much money lost, we lost the other 9 slaves except this one! She is so skinny that no one would be willing to buy her!” One of the men raged, he had a bald head with several tattoos on his face.
“I’ve seen the monster glossary and know for sure that it was a Manticore that attacked us!” They were forced to split up from their group and hadn’t heard from them since. But of course not, they were officially killed by the Manticore!
“It’s okay, there are a few nobles oversees that love kids this age. In fact, it’s quite a lot of them, the Demi-Human Kingdom is closed off, so to get one in our hands is a big win!” The man with the large scar on his face felt like he was seeing gold coins.
“Hmm, you do have a point, the nobleman in Goa village doesn’t have that type of taste, so it wouldn’t work there.” Some tall lanky man agreed, he seemed to know about the noble a lot.
“Now, this is a Dungeon so it’s advised that we be careful!” The last man wore armor, he looked serious and cautious.
“No need to worry, this is a White Grade 2 Dungeon! The danger level is so weak, what is there to worry about?” The tattooed man had a device in his hand, Vitiate had seen this before from the last group of humans that entered his Dungeon.
The man at that time fell into a trap and died. He carried the device, thus, it was destroyed in the trap with him. The fat man gave it to him to hold onto since he was too lazy to carry it.
“Oh? If it’s like that, then it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. Keep watching the slave, we’ll sell her at the highest price we can possibly get.” The man had cold eyes, his voice was no different.
“Aiya, Captain!” The scarface man said sarcastically.
The men proceeded deeper into the dungeon, they were easily able to detect the traps in the area and avoid them. “Why does this dungeon’s first floor have so many traps, isn’t it a White Grade 2 Dungeon?”
The armored man questioned, this dungeon had too many traps for a white Grade!
“The Danger detector says it is, what more do you want?” The tattooed man shrugged helplessly, he was just saying what the device said.
The armored man shook his head, and continued onward, they soon came into a room in the cave. This was a room Vitiate had made on a whim as a test, he forgot to delete it after making it. The room had one bed with a lantern hanging over it.
They all used their abilities and found that there were no traps in it, so they went inside to rest. The slave girl was put into a corner. She curled up and put her head against her knees “I usually don’t do this, but I should kill them right now.” If they were from Goa Village where the Guild is located, they may report his dungeon.
With the level of his dungeon, they may find it as an easy target, causing many adventures to swarm the place. Vitiate was confident in his dungeon, but it may begin to be too much which would lead to his defeat and death.
He needed to strengthen his dungeon more!
“This is a good time for me to experience a fight, shall I look at what moves I can learn?” Looking at the system, he also found that he received some new monsters. There were also several other categories with new next to them.
So far, he only had Light, Dark, Death, and the Life elements, so he checked what he could buy of other elements.
Abilities & Skills
Fire Mastery| 30,000 Dp
Wood Mastery| 30,000 Dp
Earth Mastery| 30,000 Dp
Water Mastery| 30,000 Dp
Wind Mastery| 30,000 Dp
More Elements showed up, but these 5 were the cheapest, so he was going to choose between these. Things like swordsmanship could be learned through training, so he wasn’t going to waste Dungeon Points on those things.
Vitiate originally had 10,650 Dungeon Points, but with the capture of a certain runaway, he was back on the map. “I have a total of 235,650 Dungeon Points, this should be more than enough to buy all of these, but I have to invest in my Dungeon.”
Before buying anything, he sent a message to the Western Orc, Eastern Orc, HobGobin Warrior, Earth Bear, and to a Goblin Female Bowman. She was better than the rest of the Bowman and was likely to evolve soon to a Hobgoblin Archer.
This seemed a bit overkill but Vitiate was a bit tired after dealing with that Dragon. He decided to Buy the Wood and Water Element since they worked so well together.
[Ding! Congratulations, you’ve Learned Wood Mastery!]
[Ding! Congratulations, you’ve Learned Water Mastery!]
[Ding! Congratulations, you’ve Learned Vine Grapple!]
[Ding! Congratulations, you’ve Learned Water Bomb!]
Once you’ve bought an element, you would be given a free skill with it. The skill was random, so it could range from very good to absolute crap.
Vitiate looked and saw that everyone was relaxing in the room he had forgotten to get rid of. With that, he warped to the second floor to await the arrival of the rest of his monsters. Vitiate wouldn’t fight if he didn’t need to, it would be best to avoid fighting as he was.
His mana was nearly depleted and he didn’t really have any destructive elements on board. Well, he did, but he didn’t have any offensive techniques for them. Wood and Water were a good combination, water-fueled the wood element and made it grow faster and stronger.
Water was weak to Wood, as it would only fuel its growth and strength!
The first arrivals were the two Goblins, then the Eastern Orc, then the Earth Bear, and finally the Western Orc. “Okay, I don’t really need to explain much, but we’re going to slaughter some invaders really quick!” He looked at everyone and nodded in approval.
Everyone gave a roar of determination and followed Vitiate to the 1st floor!
The Earth Bear was a walking threat while the rest were pretty good in their respective fields. Traps didn’t activate against any allies of the Dungeon, so they walked right through the traps.
The Western Orc didn’t seem to like the Eastern Orc so much, but they still were willing to work together. They were all on the same side, so they’ll be participating in more raids in the future.
Western Orcs weren’t located in this Continent while Moon elves were the same. Moon elves had purple skin and were on the same continent as the Western Orcs.
The men inside the cave room were instantly alarmed of what was to come. With the earthquake-like footsteps of the EarthBear, and both Orcs, who wouldn’t feel the danger coming? Besides, one of the men had a detection ability, so he could warn the others anytime.
The group of men quickly prepared by taking out their weapons. What could be so big in a White Grade 2 Dungeon that could give off such earthshaking footsteps? The Little girl hid under the bed, her eyes had long lost their light and looked devoid of life.
Suddenly, the footsteps stopped and everything grew silent.
At that moment, Vitiate came to the entrance with a smile.
“I see! Humans have invaded my Dungeon again, you guys sit tight because you won’t be leaving!”
The group looked at Vitiate in surprise, they looked at his eyes and knew he wasn’t human! “What are you, you aren’t human, you must be a Demon!” The scar-faced man was a little spooked and readied his Axe.
“No! I’ve fought a Lesser Demon before, they don’t have this type of Aura!” The Armored man was sure of it, this wasn’t a Demon, it was something else!
“It doesn’t matter what it is, we have to kill it before it kills us!” The slender man pointed his spear at Vitiate and grinned coldly.
Vitiate frowned, they kept calling him an ‘It’ which was kind of annoying.
“Okay, prepare for battle, you’ll be fighting the dream team!” Suddenly, four shadows appeared behind him.
Everyone’s facial expression turned very unsightly when they saw the monsters behind him. This was especially so when they saw the Earth Bear!
“Impossible! There can’t be these types of monsters in a low-level Dungeon like this!” The Armored man couldn’t believe it, it didn’t add up at all. He suddenly felt the urge to turn and cut down the man who lied to him about this Dungeon, but he needed him now.
“Sorry, guys, you’ve come to the wrong Dungeon.” Vitiate sighed, he just wanted to sleep and build his dungeon. With those words, the Monsters charged at the group except the Earth Bear and Goblin Bowman, she didn’t even appear, she was hiding just in case someone wanted to escape.
Thus, the Orcs and Hobgoblin rushed for battle! Vitiate was going to send the EarthBear soon, but it was so big!
It was questionable if it could fight well in this room.
