Dungeon System: World Of Chaos War - Chapter 26 Changes In The Dungeon
Vitiate arrived on the 3rd floor in the forest next to the Ogre’s home. They were outside of their big hut cooking boar meat. It was the Male, Female, and the Red baby Ogre, who had grown quite a bit but not enough for Vitiate.
“They don’t grow up as fast as the other monsters, it would be best if I just bought these types of Monsters from the system.”
He sat on a log in the forest and went through his system, he needed the item that could boost a creature or monster’s intelligence. He soon found it, it was called an Intellectual Tablet Pillar that sat on 2 small pillars.
The item gave off light and soothing energy that developed the mind and brain of any monster. This only worked for monsters and not humans, elves, or Succubus, beings like these. The item was quite costly with it costing 40,000 Dungeon Points.
“Shit! My pockets are gonna take a hit with this, yikes!” It was worth it though, he could use this forever so it was a good investment. Vitiate shrugged and bought the Intellectual Tablet Pillar.
Once he bought it, he warped in front of the Ogre’s hut house. The Ogres looked over with wide eyes due to his sudden appearance, but they came over right away with the baby Ogre.
“I know you’re confused but you guys are going to need this. What you need to do is meditate in front of this 3 hours a day.” Vitiate explained what they needed to do and even show them an example.
“Understand, meditate, will do!” The Ogre male nodded and said. Vitiate nodded as well, maybe his speech would get better once he gained high intelligence. He didn’t want them to train because they would end up becoming warriors, thus locking themselves into the class.
“Doing this will make you stronger in the future, so have the kid do it too.” Vitiate looked at the Red Ogre hiding behind its mom, it would peek at Vitiate curiously every so often. He moved the tablet to the side of their hut and warped away.
This item was very important, if he used it on skeletons, he could create a Lich or Death Knight in the future. These types of Monsters were a force to be reckoned with and rarely appeared, it would be a crisis if one ever did as the Guardians of the light would get involved right away!
This time, he appeared back on the 11th floor. Once he was on the 11th floor, he was approached by Lily in a hurry. “Master, Master, Lily thinks the foxy girl is hungry, her stomach is always making funny noises.”
“Oh, yeah, I still need to feed her, she must be starving at this point!” Vitiate looked over towards the area where he saw the Dragon and Demi-Human sitting next to different trees. Nina was sitting alone with her head against her knees posted up against a tree.
He walked over to her and she looked up, she was finally clean now. Vitiate laid out a picnic blanket and bought many dishes from the Dungeon system. Food like this was cheap, they were around 5 to 100 Dungeon Points altogether.
He gave her a Hamburger with fries on the side, he also gave her some apple juice. “Go on, eat it, this is yours, you’re too skinny.” Vitiate smile and patted her head and mainly her ears!
“Soft!” It was like petting a cat’s head! The Demi-human’s eyes brightened when she took a bite of the Hamburger. Of course, with so much food present, it easily attracted the attention of the Dragon.
He gave the dragon a fully cooked turkey, it had a watery mouth as it started to eat like a wild beast. The Dragon had run over and even tripped on its way over, it was pretty comedic which caused him to laugh. Vitiate ate some food too, he still got hungry like any other person.
“Eat well, once you’ve gotten bigger, you’ll have to start training, little girl!”
Vitiate smirked a bit and walked away into the tropical forest in the Paradise Garden. He was going to edit this part of the land into a training ground. He needed to choose what type of weapon he wanted to use. The two weapons were either a Scythe or Halberd and maybe a shield of some sort.
Before doing that, he looked at the Mana Circulation in his Dungeon. His monsters in the Dungeon would receive a stat boost once he bought this. There were more benefits, but Vitiate didn’t know about them.
With that, he upgraded the Mana Circulation for 50,000 System Points!
[Ding! Mana Circulation has upgraded from Lowest to Lower!]
[Ding! All Monsters within the Dungeon have received a stat boost!]
[Ding! With the upgrade in Mana within your dungeon, you will be rewarded!
[Congratulations, you’ve received New Item: Mystery Box!]
[Congratulations, you’ve received New Ability: Eye Of Appraisal!]
[Congratulations, you’ve received New Item: Potion Of Power!]
Due to his achievement of upgrading his Dungeon’s Mana, he received rewards! This wasn’t it, there were many changes occurring in the dungeon. Monsters were receiving stat boost and some were even evolving!
Vitiate was bombarded with notifications from his rewards and on what monsters were evolving! The Mana had caused a chain reaction which further the strength of the Dungeon. Now, monsters that couldn’t evolve before, could now evolve into the next stage.
He also felt some of his stats increase a bit from the change, he wouldn’t receive as many benefits as the monsters in the Dungeon. This was alright with him, at least he got a boost, he even received rewards for upgrading his Dungeon.
Vitiate could feel the energy coursing through him from the Mana. If the Dungeon’s Mana level reached a higher level, he and his Monsters would receive Mana regeneration as long as they were in the Dungeon.
His Mana pool was slowly increasing from this as well.
“The importance of Mana flow is understandable now, it’s best I keep upgrading it in the future. The next time I purchase Mana Circulation, it’ll go up to the Low level. This is going to cost me more Dungeon Points, it’ll cost me 150,000 Dungeon Points next time.”
Afterward, Vitiate pulled up a Virtual Screen to view the Dungeon’s Inhabitants on each floor. The Eastern Orcs hadn’t shown any change at all. Vitiate knew that some Monsters like Orcs would need to fight and kill to Evolve, it was best to lead a campaign into the forest to kill monsters later!
The Ogres would receive enlightenment much faster with this change, so he was happy about this one. Vitiate looked at the Mud Golem, it seemed to have evolved into something else, it was no longer a Mud Golem, that was for sure!
The ones that benefited the most from this was the Kobolds and Goblins. There were many who had evolved into warriors and Bowman. The Goblin Bowman female had changed as well, she had evolved into a Hobgoblin!
She looked like a green human now, she had orange hair as she stood around 5’7 in height. The Hobgoblin Female had tribal markings on her neck that were black, she had a moon-shaped tattoo of some sort going over her right eye. She had dark green eyes that started to flash because of her complete evolution.
“Wow, she has grown in more places than one, and she looks much more human-like. Someone give this girl some clothes, she’s completely n.a.k.e.d!” Vitiate was a bit surprised, he had plans for this particular goblin. He wanted to upgrade her class to an Elemental Archer which would allow her to use different elements with her archery skills.
Sadly the HobGoblin Enhancer didn’t evolve but he leveled up to an Enhancer grade 2! The Limit for this was 3 stages before he would evolve into a Caster type or whatever the next level was.
“This reminds me of cultivation, sort of like those novels back then.” Vitiate then looked for the first Hobgoblin he had ever gotten.
Once Vitiate saw the Hobgoblin, he was stunned, it had evolved into the next stage! This would usually take much more time, this was especially so for Hobgoblins. They had 3 grades like every other monster before leveling, but this was when they gained a Class.
New monsters usually had stage 0 next to their evolution chain, this was different from grade. This only meant how many times they had evolved. Once a monster gained a class, it would be given a grade for their current class, which was grade-1.
The Hobgoblin had been around since the beginning and fought many battles, so it leveled up quickly. This was also due to the Mana changes in the Dungeon. “What is he? What type of Hobgoblin, wait, he isn’t a Hobgoblin anymore!”
The Goblins stood around 6’4, he had Dark Blue skin. His eyes had changed into an orange tint, at least his pupils. The armor he was wearing had fallen off, he couldn’t fit it anymore. This was the same for the Hobgoblin Female, they were both standing butt n.a.k.e.d!
The Hobgoblin Warrior was always bald but he had grown orange short hair. If it wasn’t for his skin tone and pointy ears, you’d easily mistake him for a human. The Goblin had swirling patterns on his chest that were Dark blue, but a bit lighter, it was no telling what they meant.
Vitiate wanted to go check what he had evolved into but he wanted to open his mystery box first.
“Okay, let’s see what we got! Open mystery box and show me the goods!”
Ding!
