Dungeon System: World Of Chaos War - Chapter 33 The Phoenix
Vitiate made his way back to the 21st floor to retrieve the DragonRex. Once he went to grab the DragonRex, he saw something that almost made him trip and fall flat on his face. The DragonRex was in a prone position bowing its head to the Baby Dragon!
The Baby Dragon held her head high with glory written all over her face. She then put her claw on the DragonRex’s head like they were going through some sort of ceremony. Vitiate quickly made his way over and knocked the Dragon over the head!
“Ekk!” The Baby Dragon was shocked and squealed with the knock over the head. She was clearly trying to make the DragonRex her underling! The Baby Dragon was a Pure Blooded Dragonkin, so she could easily gain the favor of Impure Dragon typed Monsters.
“What are you doing trying to create servants in my Dungeon, you big-headed dragon! Wait until you’re old enough to get any Underlings around here!” The Baby dragon rolled on the ground for a bit then she stood back up. She then glared at Vitiate, she wagged her tail and slowly walked away with her head held high.
“Wait! You’re coming with me!” The Little Dragon paused and looked back, it seemed a bit excited to leave to the outside world. Vitiate really couldn’t call the Dragon little anymore, it seemed to have grown a lot in this time.
“D-Rex, you’ll be coming, you’re the main reason I’m here, let’s go!” With that, he warped back to the 1st floor with both of them. The DragonRex was a bit too big to fit through the cave entrance, so he had to widen the entrance a bit.
Vitiate and the Baby Dragon jumped on the DragonRex’s back as it took to the sky up the Mountain. He had thought of something, if he had to fight to defend himself, he should be okay, maybe. She was injured but she was a Phoenix, he’d probably be killed before he knew what happened unless he went all out to escape and fight with these two by his side.
The DragonRex and the Baby Dragon seemed to have sensed something threatening. The DragonRex stopped in place as it flapped its wings, it had felt something dangerous at the top of the mountain, it was feeling wary.
“Sigh, don’t worry, if we run into trouble we’ll fight the enemy off and kill it! So, let’s continue to advance to the top of the mountain.” Vitiate understood their wariness. Dragons were usually never wary of most enemies since they could combat most, but who was at the top of this mountain that they should be afraid of?
It made sense on why!
The DragonRex listened and continued up the Mountain, Vitiate could see the Baby Dragon’s face wasn’t looking so good. The Phoenix was shooting out her force purposely to scare off any monsters that might be close by.
Swoosh!
The Dragon rushed to the top with great speed before landing on the edge of the Volcanic Mountain. Vitiate looked around but didn’t see anyone, did she leave or is she hiding?
“Hmm, you’re not a Crow or any Bird Monster type, just what are you?” Suddenly, a soothing voice rung out in Vitiate’s ear, he was shocked and pulled out his Cursed pole immediately. The Baby Dragon was shocked too, she was about to fire off a dragon breath attack!
However, just when the dragon wanted to, her mouth was forcefully shut by some unknown force! Vitiate looked over and saw that the Phoenix woman was standing on the DragonRex’s back. She snuck up on him and he couldn’t feel her presence at all, he was already bad at preception, so how could he discover her!?
“Hold your tongue you dumb lizard, don’t go breathing your nasty breath my way!” The woman glared coldly at the Baby Ice Dragon, she new this Dragon was a true blood, which almost prompted her to kill it on the spot due to its futuristic threat level.
If you haven’t found out already, but Dragon’s and Phoenixes were on very bad terms, this was the same for any bird type monster. This was why the Baby Dragon looked at the Griffins as food and nothing more, the Baby Dragon’s parents had the ability to pass knowledge to their offspring before they were born.
“Lady, what are you doing, don’t hurt my Dragon or else!” Vitiate’s cursed weapon turned into 2 black pistols with gold designs on them.
“Huh? So hostile and we just met, remember, your Lizard buddy was going to blast me with its smelly breath.” The Phoenix smiled and spoke in a calm and soothing voice when addressing him, she was talking coldly just a second ago!
She also didn’t seemed to be worried about Vitiate’s retribution when he was pointing an obvious weapon at her face.
“Alright, I understand, she isn’t going to do it anymore, so relax!” Vitiate still pointed his gun at her, he was as cautious as ever.
“Hmm, you have a Dragon companion and a DragonRex, this is pretty interesting because Dragon Rexes don’t even appear on this island!” The woman looked at him in a whole new light, he didn’t just have Goblins, Kobolds, and Crows but even Dragons.
Though she chuckled when she recalled the day he caught this Dragon, he knocked it over the head a few times, how could she have missed that? The DragonRex was kind of scared so it didn’t move an inch when she was on his back!
Suddenly, the crows from before landed on Vitiate’s shoulders, they were the scout crows that investigated earlier. “So, why did you request me to come up here so suddenly, I’ll mind my own business and you can mind yours.” Vitiate said bluntly.
“Mind my business? Is that how it was when you sent these crows to peep at me at that time?” The Phoenix gave a seductive smile.
“I told you, I just wanted to investigate the…”
“Blah, Blah, you wanted to investigate the area since you were new, yeah, I heard you the first time.”
Vitiate didn’t get to finish before he was interrupted by the Phoenix.
‘……” Vitiate was silent.
“Well, shall we go talk for a bit, I want to know a few things about you!” She could tell that Vitiate was something she hadn’t seen before or known before.
“We can talk here, can’t we? There shouldn’t be anything wrong with us speaking right now, right?”
“No! We’re in the presents of filthy lizards so I would rather not be anywhere near here, I’ll have to wash my feet at least 5 times after this!” The Phoenix coldly looked at the DragonRex, who was somehow sweating! The Baby Dragon glared at the woman and was giving out growls every so often.
“Okay, we’ll talk over there, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.” Vitiate didn’t see anything wrong since they were out in the open.
“No, it isn’t good enough, I have a better place we can chat!” The woman waved her hand and the scenery around them suddenly changed! Vitiate found himself, along with the Phoenix inside a luxurious room with red carpet and paintings of different types of birds. The walls were red and black like a checkerboard.
“W-where is this? What are you trying to do!?” Vitiate once again pointed his gun at the Phoenix woman.
“Calm down, you’re way too uptight! Like I said, if I wanted to hurt you I could have long ago, why wait now?” The Phoenix looked at Vitiate like he was an idiot, he was just too defensive. She then led him to a nice marvel table to sit, he was wondering where she got all of this stuff, she must have infiltrated a human footholds to buy their equipment and furniture.
“Have a seat, do you want tea or wine?” The Phoenix walked off towards what appeared to be a kitchen!
“I’ll take tea, I guess!”
“I thought so, wine might be too much for a kid like you.” The Phoenix looked back at Vitiate with a grin.
“I’m a man, you’re just an old lady!” Vitiate fired shots back.
“Excuse me, did you say something?” The Phoenix’s face twitched but she was still smiling, but somehow, Vitiate was able to tell that it wasn’t a smile at the same time!
“Nothing!” Vitiate shook his head and said nothing more, she continued to pour drinks. He looked at her plump buttocks, his eyes showed surprise, he couldn’t see much from the virtual screen in detail but now that it was in front of him, it was different.
‘So round and bouncy, damn, I better stop looking, this isn’t something I should be concerned with now!’ Vitiate quickly looked away, he couldn’t let his mind wander about these types of things now.
The Phoenix came over with the drinks, she sat Vitiate’s drink in front of him and took a seat across from him. Vitiate picked the cup up and looked at the tea deeply, he seemed to be looking for poison of some sort.
“Sigh, come on, just look at you, you look like some primitive ape scanning a cup of tea, hahaha!” She couldn’t help but find that Vitiate looked ridiculous, he was way too cautious for no reason.
Vitiate ignored her disdainful laughter and remembered his skill called Eye Of Appraisal, so he used it on the cup tea and found that it was regular tea sold in a village in Tarnish Desert. Vitiate then decided to use it on the Phoenix to view her status, he said appraise in his head and her status popped up.
|Name: Diana
|Race: Phoenix (Human Form)
|Race Type: Nether Phoenix
Vitiate didn’t see much information on her, his appraisal level was only level 1. If he appraised more monsters then it would go up in level, so he wanted to appraise many outside monsters as he could, later on. He knew he would have that chance once the raid started, he would be able to appraise many monsters at that time.
Vitiate also noticed the Yellow circle next to her name, it didn’t take a genius to figure out what it meant. He played many Rpg games with several mobs in them, they usually had a color around their name that got a player knowing if they were friendly, hostile, or Neutral. The Yellow meant Neutral, however, once they were provoked or attacked, their name would turn red, which represented hostility.
She clearly didn’t view him as an enemy, so Vitiate eased a bit after realizing this. “Oh, the tension around you has calmed down, I wonder why?” The Phoenix was easily able to pick up on his emotions.
“Really? I still feel the same as last time, so why did you call me here all of a sudden?” Vitiate knew it had to be more than just a simple invitation.
“Sigh, to put it simply, I would like you to be my underling, what do you say? And before you say no, there are many benefits working under me.” The Phoenix took a sip of her tea and looked Vitiate in the eye.
“Haha, no, I don’t work for anyone, you don’t have to worry, I’ll move my Dungeon far away from here in no time.” Impossible, he wasn’t anyone’s lackey, what a joke!
“Sigh, I knew you would say something along those lines, I could tell you had a strong personality when I first talked to you.” The Phoenix shook her head, she had recruited many Monsters around here that were spread out.
“It is what it is, I don’t do anyone’s dirty work, I make people do the dirty work!” Vitiate grinned
fearlessly.
“Oh, you seem a bit confident, I have a real question for you!” Suddenly, an oppressive Aura came over Vitiate, rendering him immobile, he was shocked, what was going on!?
“What are you doing!? Don’t think I don’t have something to take you down, even if I have to sacrifice it all!” Vitiate had a few tricks up his sleeve as well, if he had to burn his life force to kill her, he would do it!
“Relax, you’re seriously too cautious, it makes you looked like a clown when you act like that.” The Phoenix smiled and stood up.
“I’ve traveled the world for a long time before settling here in Dread Forest. I’ve seen just about every race that has roamed this world from the highest to the lowest monster and race. I’ve felt many Auras from different races and can easily identify them with just that, with smell, touch, or just feeling their presence, but with you, you’re something else.” As the Phoenix was saying this, she was walking slowly over to Vitiate.
Vitiate could see her bountiful chest bouncing with every step she took, he couldn’t move now from some strange skill she was using on him. “Just what are you, are you some race that spawned from the brink that was recently opened? No, you can’t be a Devil or Demon, you’re something else, but I can tell, this is completely new.” Diana kept trying to guess, she dug deep into her memories but couldn’t find anything similar to his Aura.
“I’m a human.” Vitiate smirked and said bluntly.
“Bullshit, don’t lie so flatly to me!” The Phoenix walked behind Vitiate and grabbed his shoulders.
“Lady, don’t force me!” Vitiate was about to summon his Aura of Terror until she started sniffing his neck like a dog!
“What the F.u.c.k!?” Vitiate actually cursed, it was something he rarely did and usually tried to avoid but this was just too weird.
“Not a bad smell, I’ll be sure to remember it!” The Phoenix nodded and walked back to her seat.
“Do you realize that you just s.e.x.u.a.lly assaulted me?” Vitiate suddenly felt the force that was holding him in place disappear when she sat down.
“S.e.xually Assault? Hmm, do you want to s.e.x.u.a.lly assault me back to make it even?” The Phoenix played with her hair and asked with a smile.
“….” Vitiate was speechless.
“No! I want some information from you, you said you’ve traveled the world for a long time, I have some questions for you on that.” Vitiate’s whole face was twitching nonstop, what in the world was wrong with this bird, he was also able to almost see through her clothes!
“I’m fine with that, I’ll answer your questions with the best of my ability.” The Phoenix didn’t seemed to be trying to force him to be her underling, which was good for Vitiate.
“Good!” Vitiate sighed in relief hearing this.
