Dungeon System: World Of Chaos War - Chapter 71 The First Of Many
Normally, creatures like Vampires would target the neck to infect an individual, but they only did that because of the veins in a person’s neck. Vitiate didn’t target her neck, but her arm instead, it was a good enough place.
His fangs easily ripped into her flesh, Siena’s body shook for a moment before settling down. The infection was almost instant as her body surge with power. Aura engulfed her body, as the cells within her body were changing.
They were breaking down and building stronger ones. Siena lost her consciousness from the bite, this would usually be done in an instant. However, this was going to take time, because this was no regular bite, her strength was experiencing a major leap!
“Dang, I can’t believe I actually bit someone, I’ll sadly have to do this a bit more often.” It was going to be worse when he had to bite guys, he wasn’t feeling so happy about it, but he set it up like this, so he dealt with it.
Vitiate could see that her transformation would be done in an hour or so, so he just looked around the cave. He had long since visualized what he would make her out to be once he was able to infect her, so the process was fast.
Honestly, he wanted to check the room filled with dead bodies, but he couldn’t stand looking at them, so he just waited around instead. Vitiate had reverted back to his base form at this point, he just sat on a nearby rock and waited.
“I came looking for a missing dog and found missing people with Vampires, just great. Not to mention that it’s earlier in the morning, no one wants to deal with this so early.” The only reason Vitaite could fight those Vampires so well was because of his training, and him understand his abilities a bit more.
Vitiate recalled his battle, he thought he may need to get more defensive skills. If it wasn’t for his wings, he would have had to dodge Kara and Kurt’s attacks. This would have made the battle last a bit longer, but thank goodness for his chains and vines.
Once his business was able to run itself, he was just going to head back to his Dungeon and prepare to attack the Sharkmen near the lake. Afterward, he would need to destroy the long-delayed Spider Dungeon, but that may come much sooner than he thought.
Once all of this was done, he could just train in his Dungeon for a little while before exploring other places on this Island.
His training really helped him, though.
It all paid off in the end, after all, everyone had to understand their limits and what they could do. Time passed, as Vitiate sat on the rock without any movement, he was currently just talking to Lily right now through his mind link with her.
She had a lot to talk about, in fact, she never stopped talking. Vitiate knew she was young, but she sure had a mouth on her. Suddenly, Siena started to move and mumble, her transformation wouldn’t cause her pain, so there was trouble there.
Vitiate could feel the change in her, she was no longer that regular human from before. He smiled with satisfaction, she was the first of many to come! Once she opened her eyes, she quickly felt her body in the areas she had taken damage from earlier.
Siena found that her wounds were healed, but most importantly, she felt something strange about herself. Now, everyone in this world had a status sheet that they could view to see what they could do. However, there was a limit to this, no one could see their titles and certain things about their status unless they had the skill appraise.
This even meant farmers and other commoners.
Once she sat up, she looked around, then she remembered that she managed to live because of Slay’d.
“Oh, you’re finally up, you sure sleep for a long time, not to mention you snore pretty loudly, jeez, you sound like a bear, haha!” Vitiate’s voice got her attention, she knew it was him right away.
“Ah, s-slayer, thank you for saving, d-did I really snore?” Siena’s face turned red from embarrassment, but Vitiate was just teasing her.
“Yeah, it sounded like thunder, haha!” Vitiate chuckled and stood up. Siena also stood up, she still found it hard to look Vitiate in the eye. He noticed a few changes about her, the Aura she was giving off, and her eye coloration.
“A-ah sorry, I didn’t know I snored.” Siena found the courage to look up, giving Vitiate a better look at her. One of her eye pupils were purple while the other was green, this was her semi-awakened formed.
Siena’s original eye color was brown.
“That doesn’t matter now, how do you feel? Do you feel different than before?” Vitiate asked seriously with all jokes aside.
“Yes, I feel strange, I th…” Siena lifted her hand midway to touch her head, but suddenly, a green glow flashed around it. At that moment, rocks that were on the ground shot off towards a wall!
“What!?” Siena’s eyes went wide from shock, then she looked at her hand that was still glowing with a green light.
“Hahaha! That’s good, search your memories, you should know what you are without me having to explain it.” Vitiate couldn’t be any more satisfied with what she just did, but she was going to need to control that power. Siena was a complete noob, but so was Vitiate at some point, but at least he played fighting games, right?
Siena couldn’t believe it, but she did what he said and searched her memory. Then she saw it, she knew she wasn’t human anymore, but she recalled agreeing to this to live.
“I-I’m an Apostle, a True Blood of the 3rd Grade!” That’s right, she was a 3rd Grade True Blood, which made her really strong. Vitiate didn’t need to explain it, the information was literally handed to her. Siena quickly checked her status sheet and found many new things aside from her life skills, like cooking, clean, and farming.

Siena’s overall stats were boosted dramatically compared to before, as before, even a random Goblin could bop her to death. Vitiate could see her whole status, but there was a reason for that, he could see anyone of his race full status.
“That’s some impressive power your packing, right?” Vitiate walked closer and patted her on the back, he continued. “Welcome, you’re the first Apostle besides myself, so, we’re the only ones so far.”
“T-The only ones, so we have no allies?” Siena understood from the information she had learned. She also knew her race didn’t exist here, she was amazed, but she was never a fighter to begin with. But having no allies could spell trouble for them if they were attacked by other monsters or even humans.
“Nope, no allies, that’s why you’ll be training to get stronger, you understand your potential as you are now. There will be others that’ll be joining us really soon, so there will be no problems with that.”
“I-I understand boss, I-I’ll train to become the strongest I can be!” Siena knew Vitiate was the Progenitor of her new Race. True Bloods could sense this much, unless it was newly born child True Blood. As they grew older, they would believe themselves to be the ultimate within their race, so they would be shocked to know of a Progenitor if it suddenly appeared before them.
“Train and work hard, you’ve been given great power, you understand that you must train to protect your ‘new’ people and your parents. Demon, Vampires, and other creatures will do what they can to kill you and your parent. Before you were weak and couldn’t do anything, but now, you’ve been renewed, they can’t handle you so easily.”
“Yes, I will train, boss, sir, but where do I train to do that?” Siena gave a salute like she was in the army.
“Well, first, stop saluting and calling me boss, just call me Mr. X Or X.” Vitiate continued “The new store in town is where you’ll start your training, I don’t think I need to tell you that keeping your identity as an Apostle secret is what you have to do, right?”
“I won’t tell anyone, it will hurt my safety and yours if I do.” Siena tried to keep eye contact with Vitaite but her eyes would wander off shyly every time.
“Good, but as you are now, your Aura is leaking like an old Water Pipe! You’d be discovered the minute you walked near someone with good detection or senses.” She couldn’t hide from an advanced Knight or Adventurer’s radar, she would be found out immediately.
“W-what do I do then? How can I hide from them?” Siena asked gravely, she had already accepted what she was now.
“No worries, I’ll head back to my shop to pick up an item that’ll hide your Aura from them. You have to stay here, I know it’s gruesome and it stinks here, but your nose must be numb to it already.” Vitiate nose had somewhat stopped working from the smell of this place, so he didn’t complain as much.
“Okay!” Siena didn’t like it, but what else was there for her to say or do, she would be dead right now if she hadn’t chosen to be what she is. Besides, the benefits she had gained were amazing, she also wouldn’t fall prey to other monsters so easily.
Vitiate left the cave and raced back to his Mall to purchase something from the Dungeon system. It was an item he had to use Glory Points for, he could have bought this to hide before, but that would mean wasting Glory Points.
Vitiate already had skills that could hide what he was, so he didn’t need to waste any at that time. Once Vitiate change out of his clothes and went back to his business, he saw that everyone was working to fill up the shops within the mall with items to sell later.
Not wasting any time, he bought the item he needed from the Glory System and quickly left. Vitiate was somewhat annoyed with having to change his clothes all the time, but it was mandatory, for now.
He didn’t encounter any problems and made it back to the cave where Siena was waiting on a rock.
“Ah, your back, that was fast!” It took Vitiate about 10 minutes to get back, which could be considered fast with how far the village was from here.
“Hehe, I got the moves. Here take this, this should help you blend in as a human until you learn a camouflage skill.” He handed her a bangle, it had the YinYang Symbol on it, which stood for balance.
If you really thought about, this could be the Insignia or symbol of his race in the future, but customized in some way. The bangle was made out of Beads, with black and white beads made into a pattern.
“Wow, this is the prettiest bracelet I’ve ever had, thank you!” Siena was joyous and immediately put the bangle on her wrist. The beads weren’t normal, they were extremely hard and durable, so they weren’t going break.
“Glad that you like it, now, let’s get out of this place, it stinks here.” Siena couldn’t agree more as she happily exited the cave with Vitiate. He told her to head home, for now, he was going to report this to the Guild.
